I enjoy reading everyone’s posts with my coffee each morning.

08/19 175.2
08/20 175.8 Not a terrible jump considering it was out to lunch day with my Master Gardener friend. After spending the morning pulling invasives from her crafted meadow, I could not say no to lunch as payment.
I inhaled the entire roast beef sandwich AND the macaroni salad I forgot to tell them to omit from the plate. Oh and chips. Oops. It was a balanced meal for a guy on a road crew in 1987, only fancy because it had lettuce and tomatoes.
Wasn’t hungry for dinner! Spent the evening boxing with friends, doing foot work drills. It’s a rain day today. We need it terribly but it’s a washout for my morning driveway workout crew. I can definitely use an extra day around the house to get a few things done but I’ll have to be careful not to snack attack.
I’m going to check what classes are at the Y- it’s been a while since I’ve had time for a day class. I do love a new class or workout.

Last round was very successful for me, including a nice loss on the last day. This sets up a challenging SW for this round.Low key celebration yesterday. I grilled a steak and DW made some veggies. The only time we were really apart all day was when she dove for the basement when the tornado sirens went off and I stayed upstairs to view the progress.. HA! Our typical routine. (Even the television weatherman wondered why the sirens sounded. Totally false alarm.)
8/20: 220.0

Here is an NSV for me. Unsolicited, DW told me yesterday she sees a big difference in my waistline and neck. (my balloon areas.) A nice reminder that weight is not the only metric by which to realize success. Here is another NSV. Last night, DW in a moment of fatigue suggested we order pizza. In a rare moment of strength, I declined and suggested we just nosh on leftovers and watermelon. I can’t tell you how proud I am of that. (I am a magician with pizza. Now you see it, now you don’t!)
This is my last scale reading until the 23rd. DW and I are traveling to visit her sister who is in the midst of chemo for breast cancer. (She found it with a mammogram; stage 3. Undetectable otherwise, so get’r done you all. Unsolicited medical advice finished.)

SW Round 306
8/19 212.5 - Had a FOMO over the weekend and ate some food that I was afraid I wouldn't see again for the next 12 weeks, lol! I got my workout in yesterday and hit my planned steps. I am still working on my fitness planner, originally it was for 6 weeks long but started to tweak it to fit a 12 week plan. I keep redoing it because I need it to be extremely simple to fill out and easy to read. If I have to spend too much time filling it out, I'll just end up not doing it. When I logged into MFP this morning, and was looking for the new Give me 10 Round, I found a Biggest Loser Challenge that was listed right above it and signed up. I believe it starts next week but it will be perfect for my 12 week planner. My goal is to lose 30 pounds over the next 12 weeks. Piece of cake, lol! If you put the work in, you CAN'T fail!
8/20 - 211.5 - I completed my workout as planned yesterday and got my steps in. I had to take a quick walk in order to make it happen but I did it! Is anyone from here also joining the Biggest Loser challenge that starts next Monday?

Anyone can join us at any time during the round.
Join us! If we stay mindful, we
can
do this,you
can do this.Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. You have only one hour to edit your post. Post every day to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non-scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share. Make the board your own - track what is important for YOUR JOURNEY.
FOR NEWBIES
- I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all the posts.SW Rnd 306

Just Give Me 10 Days – Round 306
August 19 - 28, 202563 year old female, 5’5”. I am married, semi-nomadic (we live in three states, Mass, Maine, Florida).
SW: 126.6
9/19 – 126.6 Repeat of yesterday. Quite happy with this. I did eat slightly over (78 kcal), but did so with thought and adjusting of my day (what remained of it) to accommodate a third slice of perfect pizza. My plan for this round is as simple as 305. Stick to target calories and pre-track as much as I can, and as far in advance as possible, so there are fewer surprises. Maybe, just maybe I can make it back under 126 and land in my maintenance goal weight range. This is what I hoped for for DS’s wedding in less than a month.
9/20 – 127.4 Well the old me is still there. Yesterday was a return to MA day. Had my whole day tracked and planned, but was coming home alone, to cook and eat dinner alone. While unloading the car, I saw the bag (sitting on the counter from Saturday) with the goodies from babysitting DGS#2. The reeses pretzel bag was open (he hated them). Those disappeared first, so I edited dinner off my diary and was semi-OK. Then came the pringles, then at 9 PM hubby came home from ME with an open bag of pretzels from his fishing trip. Now also gone, plus a tube of DGS#2’s mini M&M’s. I’m actually grateful for the number this morning. Not surprised I am not hungry this morning. :P Today I will be busy enough to not have snacking, but am facing out to lunch with MIL (after estate lawyer apmts – ours and then hers) and then babysitting DGS#2 this evening. SIL and DGS#1 are still traveling with family in Albania. Back on track today!

I'm going to come up with a healthy eating plan and come up with a shopping list. Hopefully I'll be able to get to the store tomorrow. I also need to start tracking again.
I ran 4 miles on the treadmill and a short outdoor walk.
8/20: 142.5. I knew at least some of the weight would come back when I started eating more again. I'm just going to focus on health and just keep going. No gym, but did do a longer walk.

Hi there. Starting a bit late, but I am here. I havent posted in this group in years, but I was here in 2021 and back then this accountability and group really helped me with my mindset and helped my reach my best weight. Over the summer and in general I have gained weight again, nothing bad (and it was also good for me to get out of a very toxic weight mindset) but I just want to become a bit more mindful again and tracking like this really helps me.
SW Rnd 306: So I am starting out with 59,8kgs which is definitly on the bigger part of where I normally am weight wise. My goal weight for this journey is to go back to 55,5kg (or somewhere below 56 at least), which means I have around 4kgs to lose.
What I want to do: focus on protein, walk 7k, weight workout 3 times a week, morning strech + abs and a more mindful approach to drinks and sweets.
8/19: xx - I had way to much lunch and felt very bloated and in the evening I went overboard with snacks. It was a turning point.

8/19- 169.48/20- 167.9 - I'm quite happy with this. I felt lighter this morning waking up and the mirror was kinder this morning, I think. We got a pretty good storm not long after I posted. This one didn't knock out power or even internet (I have satellite internet) but the wind gusts were strong enough to send my quite-sturdy porch furniture flying across my deck! I was concerned a tree would land on my Jeep or the house. There's a "marginal risk for severe storms" today but it is currently sunny. Hopefully it stays that way through lunch at least so I can go move my Jeep from under the trees and to the shop covering to help protect it. All else is good - water, food, movement, etc. Hopefully I can see another slight drop tomorrow but I'm not holding my breath and I'll be content with maintaining6 -
Welcome to all the news friends joining us. It's great to have you here!

ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND 182.8
08/19-184.4 ❌ - (Trend Weight: 184.4) Another overnight jump up in weight of 1.6 lbs that makes absolutely no sense. Yesterday calories were 1200 and carbs were 55. Both lower than goal. However, this is an early weigh-in because of this morning’s travel to dental appointments. Disappointing nonetheless! Good luck this round everyone!
⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️08/20-186.0 ❌ (Trend Weight – 184.5) Dentist yesterday-ugh. Apparently one of my crowns is not “sitting right” and the cement has washed away creating an issue. They just put it on in 2023! My fault or theirs? I dunno. I should have asked more questions. $1700.00 for the new crown. Thank goodness insurance will pay half. So back I’ll go later this month. I “blew” the tire during lunch out, so when I got home I ended up “letting the air out of the other three”. Like @SModa61 I ended up bingeing on a little of this and a little of that until it wasn ’t so “little” anymore. My son wanted to bring home a pizza for dinner later and I was good like @_JeffreyD_ and turned it down just bringing home a small personal pizza for him. I was very proud of myself for a minute there, then … the binge later. Why? The dental results? Denial of the pizza? Self sabotage because another of my challenges is ending soon? Honestly, it felt like the all or nothing mentality since I’d already eaten out of plan while away from home. My weight has fluctuated by 4.8 lbs this week. Up and down but mostly up with today being the highest. It’s okay. This too shall pass. I got this! (staying positive here!). Never give up, my friends. This is why they call it a journey. And what a wild ride it can be!

I’m substitute teaching this morning and parenting this afternoon so I couldn’t figure out how else to fit the long run in. Keeping the same non-scale goals as last round since they kept me on track pretty well!
8/20 -132.4 🏃🏻♀️Had a nice book club meeting last night and didn’t track anything. Not sure what the scale will say tomorrow. Today I did a 30 minute run and am currently at the rock climbing gym with my 4yo. I prepped dinner ahead this morning so I can throw it together quickly this afternoon and take the 6yo to soccer practice. Busy day!

First Round 306 SW: 146
A little bit about me: Per my username, I love horses! I am now retired and enjoy riding, gardening and “NOW” getting back in shape. I was really consistent with my weight and I have let it slip over the last year! Time to lose my 19 lbs and get back to weight goal!

🎷 67 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 306 (my 236th).
Goals for every round;
- First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!
- to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
- be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end
- an additional goal for me (again) this round is to have a totally 10-day binge free round.
Sooooh, 3 weeks yesterday we fly out for our annual holiday; in that time, I should be able to lose 3 pounds, so that is my personal challenge, I want to lose a pound a week/1.25 per round & weigh 137.6 by then. I can do it if I use my will power.
I need to remain consistent - it does work! I aim to lose a pound this round. Good luck for success everyone.
Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 135. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.
Updated 20.08.24 – I met up with youngest DB, first time after his DP passed away at the way too early age of 46. DB lives a long way from us, we see him very infrequently & is very introvert, so not a sharer of info 😞. However, he finally opened up to me, it seems that his DPs bad health leading to heart failure followed by kidney, liver failure & then a massive stroke, was originally caused by heavy drinking. By the time he realised he was abusing his body and went teetotal, the damage was too late to reverse. He was on the list for a heart transplant, but his other organs gave up before one became available. This has made me think about how I am abusing my body when I have binges with way too much sugar, fat & salt. I know I am a food addict. I'm going to try to think about this when I am tempted to overindulge, I need to start respecting my body more and think about whether I want to be in the best health I can be. My body has served me so well for 67 years, it deserves to be given the best chance to keep serving me well & I've been really lucky that life has not dealt me a raw health deal, so I must not jeopardize that luck.
I am the driver in my life & not the passenger, I need to drive my life to a healthy life."Health is wealth".

08/20 175.808/21 176.6 Hormones at work! I’ll be able to recover once TOM does its thing. I had a great morning workout and got a good amount of housework done. When I sat down mid day absolute lethargy set in and I napped for three hours, could not (would not) fight it. I had such big ideas about everything I could accomplish with a rainy afternoon at home…
Rainy night visiting at the Farmers Market, I sampled some of DH’s Ecuadorian feast for dinner. My favorite baker had a new invention that hit every hormonal craving. After that “power” nap I realized that TOM was arriving, choosing one baked good definitely stopped me from opening every cabinet in the kitchen looking for satisfaction.
That one treat was two salted Carmel chocolate chip cookies sandwiching whipped mocha cheesecake filling and half dipped in dark chocolate. The almighty scale says I ate the entire thing.
Busy day today. It’s a gym rest day but plenty of activity. Hormonal cravings are usually short lived but I’ll know where I’m at in that cycle at the 7pm moment of weakness when my discipline deserts me.

Then came the pringles, then hubby came home with and open bag of pretzels from his fishing trip. Now also gone, plus a tube of DGS#2’s mini M&M’s. I’m actually grateful for the number this morning. Not surprised I am not hungry this morning. :P Today I will be busy enough to not have snacking, but and facing out to lunch with MIL (after estate lawyer apmts – ours and then hers) and then babysitting DGS#2 this evening. SIL and DGS#1 are still traveling with family in Albania. Back on track today!
9/21 – 127.4 Cautiously over but in general, very good day. Handled my choices well.

8/21 - 212 - Ah, how my body just likes that number, lol! And it's okay because not only is it that time of the month, I've had a lot going on in my personal life and haven't put in 100% so I wasn't expecting anything at all. I walked up and down the street yesterday waiting for my daughter to come home from school which helped me hit my step goal. I was in pain yesterday so I didn't do a typical workout but I did use the trampoline for about 15-20 minutes. Definitely got my heart rate up. My marriage isn't doing so well and my husband and I got into an argument last night and I was just way too upset to eat. I know that isn't good but it's better than binging on garbage. I think after 10 years, we are nearing the end. I am at the point where I just don't have the energy to keep doing this anymore. The stress of our relationship has definitely added to higher cortisol and weight gain over the past few years. It's a very lonely marriage but talking here helps me feel a little bit less lonely. On a positive note, I finished updating my fitness journal last night and just printed it out. It's not perfect but it will do. Although I am physically following alone with my plan now, I won't start filling it out until next week which works out perfectly because the BLC starts next week also.

8/21: 142.0. I still haven't got my eating 100% back on track. I wasn't able to get to the store yesterday so I don't really have much healthy food on hand. I'm going to have to wait until the weekend to get fully back on track. I did a brief outdoor walk but wasn't able to get to the gym again.

I’m a newbie here so not sure what all I have to share but I’ve been reading your posts and it’s all very fun and encouraging!!!
I'm a 53 yrs. 5 '7 " woman and currently weigh 124lbs.
My goal is 115lbs. I know… it’s underweight. But I really feel best at that weight. Clothes just fit me best and I feel and act more confident.
The heaviest I’ve been is 160lbs. When I was going through IVF 10 yrs ago. It’s been up and down since then.
I weighed 117lbs back in March. I’m engaging this community to help me get back on track of healthy eating and exercise.
My daughter just left for college (yep! Empty nester!) and I want to feel alive and motivated!
My goal for these ten days is to only eat processed sugar (ie: desserts) once in the weekend. To count my calories every day and aim for 1,200 a day. More if I got to the gym. And start running again.
8/20
Weighted in: 122.1
Counted calories: less than 1,200
Had two walks with my dog. The evening walk was very beautiful.
Had a moment of choice cleaning the freezer to finish the ice cream birthday cake and didn’t!! I’m very proud of myself.
Was hoping to go to the gym or run but didn’t reach that goal.
