    8/19 - 132.8 πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸš« Ready for a new round! I woke up at 5am to get in my scheduled long run on the treadmill. I love Peloton for its ability to make 90 minutes on the treadmill not feel like torture. I’m substitute teaching this morning and parenting this afternoon so I couldn’t figure out how else to fit the long run in. Keeping the same non-scale goals as last round since they kept me on track pretty well!

Today I did a 30 minute run and am currently at the rock climbing gym with my 4yo. I prepped dinner ahead this morning so I can throw it together quickly this afternoon and take the 6yo to soccer practice. Busy day!

    @ReignFromAshes My heart hurts for you. β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή I’ve been there. Hope you are seeing a counselor for YOU. I talked with my therapist for months trying to decide whether to stay in my first marriage or get out. It is not easy either way. I too felt lonely…and my ex didn’t understand. Walking away was the hardest decision of my life. Good for you for being on here and working towards YOUR health…for you and your daughter. πŸ’ͺ

    8/21 - 168.9 - I don't know why I'm up. I'm feeling leaner than I expected and the mirror is being kind, relatively speaking. After my call with Coach about going forward after Summer Shreds challenge ends (Aug 31st), we discussed a cut/refeed/maintenance cycle to help me not feel like I'm missing out through the holidays but also allows me to cut and feel good for the wedding I'm attending in June next year. I created a spreadsheet with dates to get that plan in place so I have a quick reference. I also put in some tentative calories/macro splits that I can adjust as needed as I move through the plan. I'm feeling good about it - it's only about a 300 calorie/day cut at the worst with cuts only lasting 12 weeks at the longest with refeed and maintenance in between

    08/20-186.0 ❌ (Trend Weight – 184.5) Dentist yesterday-ugh. Apparently one of my crowns is not β€œsitting right” and the cement has washed away creating an issue. They just put it on in 2023! My fault or theirs? I dunno. I should have asked more questions. $1700.00 for the new crown. Thank goodness insurance will pay half. So back I’ll go later this month. I β€œblew” the tire during lunch out, so when I got home I ended up β€œletting the air out of the other three”. Like @SModa I ended up bingeing on a little of this and a little of that until it wasn ’t so β€œlittle” anymore. My son wanted to bring home a pizza for dinner later and I was good like @_JeffreyD_ and turned it down just bringing home a small personal pizza for him. I was very proud of myself for a minute there, then … the binge later. Why? The dental results? Denial of the pizza? Self sabotage because another of my challenges is ending soon? Honestly, it felt like the all or nothing mentality since I’d already eaten out of plan while away from home. My weight has fluctuated by 4.8 lbs this week. Up and down but mostly up with today being the highest. It’s okay. This too shall pass. I got this! (staying positive here!). Never give up, my friends. This is why they call it a journey. And what a wild ride it can be!

    βš“οΈβš“οΈβš“οΈβš“οΈβš“οΈ08/21-185.6 βœ… (Trend Weight: 184.6) I was hoping the drop would be more substantial today. Yesterday I had 1109 calories and 89 carbs. Sodium only slightly elevated, fiber a touch low. I thought it was a good day. However, no TMI before weigh-in today so that probably would have made a nice difference. In the past 1 Β½ weeks I have attended a huge festival (food trucks) and very large county fair (food trucks and elephant ears), travel and then a full-on binge. That’s a lot to make up for so I know I need to be patient. So my NSV yesterday….I made something new to up my protein. Beans and rice. I used a mix of red beans, light red kidney beans and canned pinto beans (rinsed) to make a big batch that will last several days. I used a mix of brown rice (2/3) and cauliflower rice (1/3) and added red and green peppers, onions and some canned diced tomatoes along with some seasonings. I’m very proud I’m eating the dish as I have a terrible eating disorder about eating veggies and usually steer clear of almost all of them. I’ve been trying hard to work on that.

    8/19 202.1 -Great walk after dark tonight it felt great.Β  Stayed in calorie range.Β  Shopped like crazy for back to school stuff for kids. Β  I can not believe summer flew by so fast.Β  My daughter had her last first day of college today.Β  She will graduate in May with her bachelors and masters then onto the real world.Β  Starting to think about getting a job outside the home and start to build something for myself. Β 

    8/20 202.2 - I did not get any workout today, I had a sore throat and wanted to give myself a rest.Β  I did stretch for another challenge and I walked inside the mall shopping but not much else. Β

    🎷 67 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 306 (my 236th).

    Goals for every round;

    • First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!
    • to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
    • be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end
    • an additional goal for me (again) this round is to have a totally 10-day binge free round.

    Sooooh, 3 weeks yesterday we fly out for our annual holiday; in that time, I should be able to lose 3 pounds, so that is my personal challenge, I want to lose a pound a week/1.25 per round & weigh 137.6 by then. I can do it if I use my will power.

    I need to remain consistent - it does work! I aim to lose a pound this round. Good luck for success everyone.

    Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 135. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.

    Updated 20.08.24 – I met up with youngest DB, first time after his DP passed away at the way too early age of 46. DB lives a long way from us, we see him very infrequently & is very introvert, so not a sharer of info 😞. However, he finally opened up to me, it seems that his DPs bad health leading to heart failure followed by kidney, liver failure & then a massive stroke, was originally caused by heavy drinking. By the time he realised he was abusing his body and went teetotal, the damage was too late to reverse. He was on the list for a heart transplant, but his other organs gave up before one became available.This has made me think about how I am abusing my body when I have binges with way too much sugar, fat & salt. I know I am a food addict. I'm going to try to think about this when I am tempted to overindulge, I need to start respecting my body more and think about whether I want to be in the best health I can be. My body has served me so well for 67 years, it deserves to be given the best chance to keep serving me well & I've been really lucky that life has not dealt me a raw health deal, so I must not jeopardize that luck.

    8/19: xx - I had way to much lunch and felt very bloated and in the evening I went overboard with snacks. It was a turning point.

    8/20: 59,8kg

    8/21 - couldnt weight myself because I slept at another apartment. I did 1st weight training of the week and walked 11k, did my morning strech + abs, but very bad on the protein and sweets front.

    8/22 58,8 - quite a drop but I feel its mostly because i had a lot of water retained the other day. Yesterday i did my second weight training, walked 7,5k, I had 2/3 of my wanted portein intake and during the day was better with sweets but in the evening chrashed again. I always chrash after I come home from work. I need to find a solution for that (eg more protein before that maybe). I did my morning streches and abs.

    08/22 175.4 I rebounded nicely, now if I can stay within reason for the weekend. It is going to be a busy one. We have a giant manlift arriving so DH can repoint, line and cap the chimney.

    63 year old female, 5’5”. I am married, semi-nomadic (we live in three states, Mass, Maine, Florida).Β 
    SW WW Sept 29, 2001 - 168.8 (initially lost 29.8, became staff, then up and down 18 years with low of 126.8)
    SW MFP Sept 14, 2020  – 153 (lost 40, then stress loss of 2.2 lb with low of 120.8, then stress gain)
    SW MFP Jan 1, 2023  – 146.6

    GW Maintaining between 124 – 126Β

    9/19 – 126.6 Repeat of yesterday. Quite happy with this. I did eat slightly over (78 kcal), but did so with thought and adjusting of my day (what remained of it) to accommodate a third slice of perfect pizza. My plan for this round is as simple as 305. Stick to target calories and pre-track as much as I can, and as far in advance as possible, so there are fewer surprises. Maybe, just maybe I can make it back under 126 and land in my maintenance goal weight range. This is what I hoped for for DS’s wedding in less than a month.

    9/20 – 127.4 Well the old me is still there. Yesterday was a return to MA day. Had my whole day tracked and planned, but was coming home alone, to cook and eat dinner alone. While unloading the car, I saw the bag (sitting on the counter from Saturday) with the goodies from babysitting DGS#2. The reeses pretzel bag was open (he hated them). Those disappeared first, so I edited dinner off my diary and was semi-OK. Then came the pringles, then hubby came home with and open bag of pretzels from his fishing trip. Now also gone, plus a tube of DGS#2’s mini M&M’s. I’m actually grateful for the number this morning. Not surprised I am not hungry this morning. :P Today I will be busy enough to not have snacking, but and facing out to lunch with MIL (after estate lawyer apmts – ours and then hers) and then babysitting DGS#2 this evening. SIL and DGS#1 are still traveling with family in Albania. Back on track today!

    9/21 – 127.4 Cautiously over but in general, very good day. Handled my choices well.

    9/22 – 126.0 Woot! Actually hit the top end of where I wanted to maintain! We’ll see if it is still there tomorrow. Yesterday was good. A busy day, and my head was in the right place. So from my early winter high, to now, its roughly 12 lbs. What I consider more interesting (and I need to find my notebook – its here somewhere), those 12 lb resulted in a 3” reduction in waist. I would say β€œit’s the exercise”, but, since leaving florida, it has not been happening. This certainly tells me where my personal weight gains are going to travel too at my age.Β 

    Today DGS#2 turns 2 years old. Was supposed to be a party tomorrow, but dad, brother, and grandfather all got the flu this week while visiting family in Albania. Dad (aka SIL) was yesterday on his way back to the US. DD is staying clear of them and is coming over to us today to be able to have some birthday fun away from the quarantine. Tomorrow’s party has been canceled!

    8/19: 141.3. I was feeling a lot better yesterday. I'm hoping this depressive episode is behind me. It was a rough one. Now it's time to focus on health a bit more. I'm going to come up with a healthy eating plan and come up with a shopping list. Hopefully I'll be able to get to the store tomorrow. I also need to start tracking again.

    I ran 4 miles on the treadmill and a short outdoor walk.

    8/20: 142.5. I knew at least some of the weight would come back when I started eating more again. I'm just going to focus on health and just keep going. No gym, but did do a longer walk.

    8/21: 142.0. I still haven't got my eating 100% back on track. I wasn't able to get to the store yesterday so I don't really have much healthy food on hand. I'm going to have to wait until the weekend to get fully back on track. I did a brief outdoor walk but wasn't able to get to the gym again.

    8/22: 142.2. I'm so happy it's Friday. I'll be taking my kids to my mom's this afternoon so they can spend the weekend with her. I'm so ready for a break. I'll finally have time to focus on myself and come up with a meal plan and do a good grocery shop. I'm hoping to set myself up for success for next week.

    SW Round 306

    8/19 212.5 - Had a FOMO over the weekend and ate some food that I was afraid I wouldn't see again for the next 12 weeks, lol! I got my workout in yesterday and hit my planned steps. I am still working on my fitness planner, originally it was for 6 weeks long but started to tweak it to fit a 12 week plan. I keep redoing it because I need it to be extremely simple to fill out and easy to read. If I have to spend too much time filling it out, I'll just end up not doing it. When I logged into MFP this morning, and was looking for the new Give me 10 Round, I found a Biggest Loser Challenge that was listed right above it and signed up. I believeΒ it starts next week but it will be perfect for my 12 week planner. My goal is to lose 30 pounds over the next 12 weeks. Piece of cake, lol! If you put the work in, you CAN'T fail!

    8/20 - 211.5 - I completed my workout as planned yesterday and got my steps in. I had to take a quick walk in order to make it happen but I did it! Is anyone from here also joining the Biggest Loser challenge that starts next Monday?

    8/21 - 212Β - Ah, how my body just likes that number, lol! And it's okay because not only is it that time of the month, I've had a lot going on in my personal life and haven't put in 100% so I wasn't expecting anything at all. I walked up and down the street yesterday waiting for my daughter to come home from school which helped me hit my step goal. I was in pain yesterday so I didn't do a typical workout but I did use the trampoline for about 15-20 minutes. Definitely got my heart rate up. My marriage isn't doing so well and my husband and I got into an argument last night and I was just way too upset to eat. I know that isn't good but it's better than binging on garbage. I think after 10 years, we are nearing the end. I am at the point where I just don't have the energy to keep doing this anymore. The stress of our relationship has definitely added to higher cortisol and weightΒ gain over the past fewΒ years. It's a very lonely marriage but talking here helps me feel a little bit less lonely. On a positive note, I finished updating my fitness journal last night and just printed it out. It's not perfect but it will do. Although I am physicallyΒ following alone with my plan now, I won't start filling it out until next week which works out perfectly because the BLC starts next week also.

    8/22 - 210 - TGIF is all I have to say today, lol!! Looking forward to hitting the weights more next week. I think I am going to look for some second hand dumbbells this weekend. 😁
