    08/21-185.6 ✅ (Trend Weight: 184.6) I was hoping the drop would be more substantial today. Yesterday I had 1109 calories and 89 carbs. Sodium only slightly elevated, fiber a touch low. I thought it was a good day. However, no TMI before weigh-in today so that probably would have made a nice difference. In the past 1 ½ weeks I have attended a huge festival (food trucks) and very large county fair (food trucks and elephant ears), travel and then a full-on binge. That’s a lot to make up for so I know I need to be patient. So my NSV yesterday….I made something new to up my protein. Beans and rice. I used a mix of red beans, light red kidney beans and canned pinto beans (rinsed) to make a big batch that will last several days. I used a mix of brown rice (2/3) and cauliflower rice (1/3) and added red and green peppers, onions and some canned diced tomatoes along with some seasonings. I’m very proud I’m eating the dish as I have a terrible eating disorder about eating veggies and usually steer clear of almost all of them. I’ve been trying hard to work on that.

    ⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️08/22-185.6 🔄 (Trend Weight: 184.7) No TMI x 3 which isn’t helping the cause. Am I at some sort of plateau or is it the bathroom issue right now? I don’t know. Yesterday I had 1134 calories and 79 carbs (mainly from my rice & beans with veggies concoction). Both of those numbers are under my daily goal. I rode the stationary bike for 50 minutes when my usual ride is 30-35 minutes. High fiber, good protein, low sugar and sodium slightly high but still in the 2000’s. It should have been a great day with good results so I am frustrated, for sure. I know I had a few bad days/events in the past two weeks, but getting it back off is a nightmare! I am focusing on making today another good day. DGD’s 5th birthday party is tomorrow. A bit of travel for that and a big bash that will likely add insult to injury. All I can do is move forward, make the best choices I can in my circumstances each and every day and continue getting in exercise or intentional movement daily and keep trusting the process. My body does seem to run from hot to cold quickly so I guess I shouldn’t panic. Have a great weekend everyone!

    8/19: 183.1 😕+.2 from 8/18, but I did enjoy myself out for lunch with a friend. GF Onion Strings! Going to try and drink more 💦and 💃today. 🤞for tomorrow, but I have ½ my lunch from yesterday for today, so 🤷‍♀️

    8/20: 182.4 🙂Had a 400cal surplus yesterday. Still no exercise. Tap is on break until September, so it’s up to me to put shoes on and tap my tootsies around the kitchen. Maybe today, as I have no commitments scheduled. Dinner was leftover onion strings in the air fryer. Lots of water. I set up drinking as a med reminder on my phone/watch every 30min. It worked so-so. I just don’t want to buy an app. If you have a solution, I’d love to hear it.

    8/21: 182.1 🤗 I did it! I did it! I tapped for some exercise!!💃FYI—that is a whole brain exercise!🤯That little drop in weight was a nice reward as well. Just proud of myself that I actually followed through. Also, I tried a new recipe and it was YUMMY! Spicy Top Ramen Noodle Salad—DH approved 🥇Then I topped it with some sautéed shrimp. Nothing fancy other than sprinkle (way too much) Chipotle Chili Pepper on it. 

    8/22: 181.0 🥳Calorie surplus yesterday paid off. Yay! Of course, this morning we went out for brunch with the fam. I had GF Strawberry Shortcake Pancakes—780 Cal, but I always cut my meal in half and bring half home. So actually, that was 390. Not far off from my usual breakfast. Not sure what the rest of the day will bring, especially since I’m laying on ice packs from tapping a couple of days ago. 🙄😩Thinking about trying one of the MFP stretching routines. Does anyone else use their exercise videos?

    Me too! Mentally, weighing every day kind of deflates me. I know that it’s how it goes, but it’s still hard. So I projected my weight-loss expected outcomes every 4 weeks and posted those on my calendar. I think that and using a chart to predict what my clothing size should be at those mileposts helps me more than anything. 😊

    I’m a newbie here so not sure what all I have to share but  I’ve been reading your posts and it’s all very fun and encouraging!!!

    I'm a 53 yrs. 5 '7 " woman and currently weigh 124lbs. 

    My goal is 115lbs. I know… it’s underweight. But I really feel best at that weight. Clothes just fit me best and I feel and act more confident. 

    The heaviest I’ve been is 160lbs. When I was going through IVF 10 yrs ago. It’s been up and down since then. 

    I weighed 117lbs back in March. I’m engaging this community to help me get back on track of healthy eating and exercise. 

    My daughter just left for college (yep! Empty nester!) and I want to feel alive and motivated!

    My goal for these ten days is to only eat processed sugar (ie: desserts) once in the weekend. To count my calories every day and aim for 1,200 a day. More if I got to the gym. And start running again.

    Had two walks with my dog. The evening walk was very beautiful. 

    Had a moment of choice cleaning the freezer to finish the ice cream birthday cake and didn’t!! I’m very proud of myself. 

    Was hoping to go to the gym or run but didn’t reach that goal.

    Running 1.75 miles/27 minutes!!! 💪🏽🌟

    Steady: balancing healthy foods and movement. I feel super proud I finally went out for a run. In the afternoon I took my dog for a walk as well. So lots of movement. 

    My intention now is to go to the gym tomorrow so I can do strength training, especially work arms.

    Workout: upper body strength training and walking dog twice. 

    I love this group! And the commitment and accountability I now have connected to you all! I went to have dinner with the in-laws that always serve comfort food and desserts. I so proud I just had protein and vegetables and skipped the dessert!!! Came home and had a delicious peach and cinnamon apple rice cake. This kind of will power makes me feel so confident and encouraged!!! 

    I’m a little nervous about the weekend. Without the structure of work I tend to want to cook… I’m a good cook! But then wholesome meals plus baking translate to a lot of calories!!! 😱😱😱

    I’m so proud that I’ve been able to avoid all processed sugars for 5 days now! 💪🏽🔥

    I’m going to go running again tomorrow morning. There’s this mountain I want to conquer! It’s 2 miles uphill to the spot I want to get to running. 😅it’s ok. One day at a time. I did .8 miles uphill yesterday. I’d be happy if I can do the same tomorrow.  I steady I can increase. We’ll see how I feel! I’m excited for the challenge.

    SW Rnd 306

    8/19 202.1 -Great walk after dark tonight it felt great.  Stayed in calorie range.  Shopped like crazy for back to school stuff for kids.   I can not believe summer flew by so fast.  My daughter had her last first day of college today.  She will graduate in May with her bachelors and masters then onto the real world.  Starting to think about getting a job outside the home and start to build something for myself.  

    8/20 202.2 - I did not get any workout today, I had a sore throat and wanted to give myself a rest.  I did stretch for another challenge and I walked inside the mall shopping but not much else.  

    8/21 202.2 - I plan to walk later once it cooler.  I had an eye dr appt today and had to be dilated just in one eye.  That feels so weird.  

    8/22 201.1 - Today I got another floater just pop up after eye dr.  Wondering what is causing this.  Its got me all upset.  I did regardless have to push through and get the kid some school supplies.  Went to Ikea and that is always a long ordeal.  Then cleaned out the craft closet with my mom.  So tired.

    8/19: 141.3. I was feeling a lot better yesterday. I'm hoping this depressive episode is behind me. It was a rough one. Now it's time to focus on health a bit more. I'm going to come up with a healthy eating plan and come up with a shopping list. Hopefully I'll be able to get to the store tomorrow. I also need to start tracking again.

    I ran 4 miles on the treadmill and a short outdoor walk.

    8/20: 142.5. I knew at least some of the weight would come back when I started eating more again. I'm just going to focus on health and just keep going. No gym, but did do a longer walk.

    8/21: 142.0. I still haven't got my eating 100% back on track. I wasn't able to get to the store yesterday so I don't really have much healthy food on hand. I'm going to have to wait until the weekend to get fully back on track. I did a brief outdoor walk but wasn't able to get to the gym again.

    8/22: 142.2. I'm so happy it's Friday. I'll be taking my kids to my mom's this afternoon so they can spend the weekend with her. I'm so ready for a break. I'll finally have time to focus on myself and come up with a meal plan and do a good grocery shop. I'm hoping to set myself up for success for next week.

    8/23: 140.7. I'm happy with this little drop, I really want to get under 140 soon. Last night, I really wanted a blizzard from Dairy Queen. I managed to resist the temptation. Seeing this number this morning makes me glad that I did.

    I'm up at 3:30 this morning, about to head to the gym for my long treadmill run. I want to be done with it before the gym gets busy. I'm aiming for another 12 mile run today, but I haven't been running too much over the last few weeks, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to. We'll see, I should be able to do at least 10 miles.

    08/23 174.8 Now that is a surprise! It’s interesting I’ve been mixing up my eating quite a bit lately between higher calorie and low calorie days, also days with lots of smaller meals and days with one bigger meal. All of the combinations from those variables but with no real plan, just kind of meeting each day where ever I am.

    Is this the mythical “intuitive eating”?

    For right now it does seem to be working. My food addiction doesn’t feel like constant exhausting background noise right now. It’s almost like I didn’t realize how absolutely overwhelming it is until I got a little respite from it.

    Now to figure out how to keep this mild control and even keel feeling about food moving forward…

    Last round was very successful for me, including a nice loss on the last day. This sets up a challenging SW for this round.

    Low key celebration yesterday. I grilled a steak and DW made some veggies. The only time we were really apart all day was when she dove for the basement when the tornado sirens went off and I stayed upstairs to view the progress.. HA! Our typical routine. (Even the television weatherman wondered why the sirens sounded. Totally false alarm.)

    Here is an NSV for me. Unsolicited, DW told me yesterday she sees a big difference in my waistline and neck. (my balloon areas.) A nice reminder that weight is not the only metric by which to realize success.

    Here is another NSV. Last night, DW in a moment of fatigue suggested we order pizza. In a rare moment of strength, I declined and suggested we just nosh on leftovers and watermelon. I can’t tell you how proud I am of that. (I am a magician with pizza. Now you see it, now you don’t!)

    This is my last scale reading until the 23rd. DW and I are traveling to visit her sister who is in the midst of chemo for breast cancer. (She found it with a mammogram; stage 3. Undetectable otherwise, so get’r done you all. Unsolicited medical advice finished.)

    By the way, on my spreadsheet when I have a "DNW," I enter it as the average of the bookend scale readings on either side. It gives a somewhat fair guess at the ten-day average.

    @Zaxa2021 DQ does have a mini size blizzard. it is a very appropriate size and calories are between 340 - 380 according to various sources (I would just pick the middle). Still not low cal, but easier to accommodate now and then and solves my craving for them.

    @_JeffreyD_ glad for the good news, but sorry your SIL is dealing with this at all.

    @Skyleen75 I am guessing we are all different regarding what triggers our food noises. For me, oddly, pre-tracking calms mine. I never thought about it in that context, but reflecting, I think it does. Have no idea why.

    August 19 - 28, 2025

    63 year old female, 5’5”. I am married, semi-nomadic (we live in three states, Mass, Maine, Florida). 
    SW WW Sept 29, 2001 - 168.8 (initially lost 29.8, became staff, then up and down 18 years with low of 126.8)
    SW MFP Sept 14, 2020  – 153 (lost 40, then stress loss of 2.2 lb with low of 120.8, then stress gain)
    SW MFP Jan 1, 2023  – 146.6

    GW Maintaining between 124 – 126

    9/19 – 126.6 Repeat of yesterday. Quite happy with this. I did eat slightly over (78 kcal), but did so with thought and adjusting of my day (what remained of it) to accommodate a third slice of perfect pizza. My plan for this round is as simple as 305. Stick to target calories and pre-track as much as I can, and as far in advance as possible, so there are fewer surprises. Maybe, just maybe I can make it back under 126 and land in my maintenance goal weight range. This is what I hoped for for DS’s wedding in less than a month.

    9/20 – 127.4 Well the old me is still there. Yesterday was a return to MA day. Had my whole day tracked and planned, but was coming home alone, to cook and eat dinner alone. While unloading the car, I saw the bag (sitting on the counter from Saturday) with the goodies from babysitting DGS#2. The reeses pretzel bag was open (he hated them). Those disappeared first, so I edited dinner off my diary and was semi-OK. Then came the pringles, then hubby came home with and open bag of pretzels from his fishing trip. Now also gone, plus a tube of DGS#2’s mini M&M’s. I’m actually grateful for the number this morning. Not surprised I am not hungry this morning. :P Today I will be busy enough to not have snacking, but and facing out to lunch with MIL (after estate lawyer apmts – ours and then hers) and then babysitting DGS#2 this evening. SIL and DGS#1 are still traveling with family in Albania. Back on track today!

    9/21 – 127.4 Cautiously over but in general, very good day. Handled my choices well.

    9/22 – 126.0 Woot! Actually hit the top end of where I wanted to maintain! We’ll see if it is still there tomorrow. Yesterday was good. A busy day, and my head was in the right place. So from my early winter high, to now, its roughly 12 lbs. What I consider more interesting (and I need to find my notebook – its here somewhere), those 12 lb resulted in a 3” reduction in waist. I would say “it’s the exercise”, but, since leaving florida, it has not been happening. This certainly tells me where my personal weight gains are going to travel too at my age. 

    Today DGS#2 turns 2 years old. Was supposed to be a party tomorrow, but dad, brother, and grandfather all got the flu this week while visiting family in Albania. Dad (aka SIL) was yesterday on his way back to the US. DD is staying clear of them and is coming over to us today to be able to have some birthday fun away from the quarantine. Tomorrow’s party has been canceled!

    9/23 – 126.8 Not sure why, but then again, was not sure why I got a 126.0 yesterday. Day was on track with everything accounted for.

It is really “hot” in Texas right now and I did drink a ton of water and had low sodium soy for lunch with sushi.

Simply not in the mood to face another day of the “same” or even a slight uptick… We ate at our favorite restaurant last night and I chose with a “weight-loss” mindset - 1/2 octopus appetizer as my appetizer and another tuna appetizer as my entree. Both are pretty small. Delighted in two big 🥄 tastes of hubby’s ice-cream & up way too early to ⚖️. For you folks out there that are the same as me, the emotional negative “feeling” of even a slight uptick after busting butt all week is simply not worth it. Yesterday - 3 hrs of 🎾 and 👣9k. I’m headed out the door for my WV 5-miler. I have five days to my round goal. Will be cleaning house, 🏋️‍♀️⏱️and getting a little more organized today. Looking forward to 💦 and food as fuel.  Happy Weekend!

    I use a PC and on the computer it is just an evenly spaced banner that goes exactly across the top to add some color to my post. I used to use color a lot scattered throughout my post highlighting words etc and they took all that away boo hoo. Reading post after post in all black and white seemed daunting so basically it's to add a little flair to the pages as we read.

    08/22-185.6 〰️ (Trend Weight: 184.7) No TMI x 3 which isn’t helping the cause. Am I at some sort of plateau or is it the bathroom issue right now? I don’t know. Yesterday I had 1134 calories and 79 carbs (mainly from my rice & beans with veggies concoction). Both of those numbers are under my daily goal. I rode the stationary bike for 50 minutes when my usual ride is 30-35 minutes. High fiber, good protein, low sugar and sodium slightly high but still in the 2000’s. It should have been a great day with good results so I am frustrated, for sure. I know I had a few bad days/events in the past two weeks, but getting it back off is a nightmare! I am focusing on making today another good day. DGD’s 5th birthday party is tomorrow. A bit of travel for that and a big bash that will likely add insult to injury. All I can do is move forward, make the best choices I can in my circumstances each and every day and continue getting in exercise or intentional movement daily and keep trusting the process. My body does seem to run from hot to cold quickly so I guess I shouldn’t panic. Have a great weekend everyone!

I made that new recipe of beans and rice the other day and have had it for lunch or dinner every day. I thought the fiber in beans were a good thing? I’ve resorted to stool softeners and magnesium oxide the past two days but neither have helped. I’m only being graphic in case anyone can tell me more about how beans affect TMI.     8/20: 182.4 🙂Had a 400cal surplus yesterday. Still no exercise. Tap is on break until September, so it’s up to me to put shoes on and tap my tootsies around the kitchen. Maybe today, as I have no commitments scheduled. Dinner was leftover onion strings in the air fryer. Lots of water. I set up drinking as a med reminder on my phone/watch every 30min. It worked so-so. I just don’t want to buy an app. If you have a solution, I’d love to hear it.

    8/21: 182.1 🤗 I did it! I did it! I tapped for some exercise!!💃FYI—that is a whole brain exercise!🤯That little drop in weight was a nice reward as well. Just proud of myself that I actually followed through. Also, I tried a new recipe and it was YUMMY! Spicy Top Ramen Noodle Salad—DH approved 🥇Then I topped it with some sautéed shrimp. Nothing fancy other than sprinkle (way too much) Chipotle Chili Pepper on it. 

    8/22: 181.0 🥳Calorie surplus yesterday paid off. Yay! Of course, this morning we went out for brunch with the fam. I had GF Strawberry Shortcake Pancakes—780 Cal, but I always cut my meal in half and bring half home. So actually, that was 390. Not far off from my usual breakfast. Not sure what the rest of the day will bring, especially since I’m laying on ice packs from tapping a couple of days ago. 🙄😩Thinking about trying one of the MFP stretching routines. Does anyone else use their exercise videos?

    8/23: 180.4 😮Not sure what’s happening other than I had another calorie surplus AND I got in 80+ oz water for 2 days straight. 🤷‍♀️No exercise yesterday other than walking around Costco. 🤣Yesterday was mostly ice packs and heating pad. Ugh! Today I just did all the stretches on MFP and it said I burned 200 calories. 😳Took about 30 minutes. 

    Also, I think I read this on a Reddit MFP thread, but I was looking for a water reminder that was free. Someone suggested setting the med reminder on my phone. So I set it for every 30 min from 9a-5p and it has been working. It also let me choose an icon and I chose 💧 and set the background to blue. I seem to miss all notifications on my Apple Watch except for these. The med reminder has a serious vibrate. Two days of meeting my water goal! I’m sold. 💦

    One note about MFP: I had to make my account private because I was sick of all the men that were trying to “friend” me. So weird and pretty irritating. 😾

    8/24 133.2 ⚖️ too sad vs. efforts. 🏆🚶‍♀️💓👣15k 🏋️‍♀️🤸🏼⏱️📖 It is what it is. No explanation.  Sleep 💤 is off again. Cortisol? 1173 cals, 🥩118g. No TMI. My body must be in a happy place but my brain isn’t. #MindBodySoul. Not going to ⚖️ for a few days cuzz it hurts my mindset.  Rationality isn’t present. Will stay the course but 🚫⚖️ #HSF yes, I’m frustrated but still good Venting is good then acknowledge & move on.

    NSV: I was SO STRONG yesterday & have been uber consistent!  This “feeling” of “underperforming” can be detrimental. But I now know it’s a “feeling” and not reality. Will just fire the darn ⚖️ for a few days and focus on the process.
