@fermatamb7212 do you have a recipe for that chili to share? We have a tonnnn of volunteer butternut squash from our garden so I'm always looking for different ways to use it!

Non-scale goals (tracked for prior day for remaining days of this round):
🏃🏻♀️ Intentional movement 8/10 days
🚫 No alcohol 5/10 days
📝 Track 5/10 days
SW Rnd 314 - 128.6
RGW - 127.6
11/7 - 128.0 🏃🏻♀️📝 I’ve been trying to get (and stay) at 127.x since at least R312. This is it! I am not having a wild weekend this weekend and I am GOING 👏🏻 TO 👏🏻 STAY 👏🏻 ON 👏🏻 TRACK, darn it. Today I’m going to lift weights and do chores for the morning. I have a quick meeting with my boss to get my login credentials for my new work laptop. Still feeling mixed about this choice but here we go.
11/8 - 129.2 🏃🏻♀️🚫📝 Well I did most of the things that should lead to success yesterday except for one: I ate too much sensible food. I had zero sugary snacks or drinks, but I did have a high calories smoothie. I made sausage and apple stuffed butternut squash for dinner but found out one too late that one serving is 980 inches calories 😳 Also I was likely dehydrated from Thursday’s beer yesterday morning. We’re going out with another couple and booking a babysitter tonight so I don’t have great expectations for the next couple of days. I think the damage should be way less than Halloweekend was, though. Onward!
11/9 - 128.4 🏃🏻♀️ Well I thought we were going to go easier on the drinks last night because our friend had an early flight this morning. Unfortunately he decided he didn’t care about that and we ended up staying out late and going overboard. Thankfully another friend texted this morning and asked me to go mountain biking so I shook off the hangover and got a good workout in! We were going to go to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the Bills game today but thankfully decided not to. That will help me be on track today and get some chores done before I start my job tomorrow.
11/10 - 130.4 🏃🏻♀️Whoops. Late posting today but wanted to be consistent!
11/11 - 130.0 🏃🏻♀️🚫📝 Had a super compliant day yesterday and was proud of many of my choices. I was hungry after dinner so I opted for a cottage cheese snack instead of the cookie or ice cream I was considering. Squeezed in my strength workout despite it being my first day at this job. So naturally, I expected an amazing loss on the scale today LOL. Weird, weight loss doesn't happen from ONE DAY of compliance. Planning to keep it up! I have book club tonight so will need to be hyperaware! (Side note - just read Heart the Lover by Lily King. I read it in 2 days it was so good!)

11/10-181.0 ❌ (Trend Weight: 183.2) SIL came last night and he jumped and moved truck. Problem solved. It was an excellent day yesterday. All my calorie and macro goals were met. I even got in an extra 7 minutes of exercise over and above the norm. Weight fluctuated with a small blip up (0.2). I hated to use the red X next to my weight post but it is what it is. I think my stubborn-as-a-bull Taurus body is just trying to hold on. I will (eventually) win this tug-of-war. Staying positive!
🦃🦃🦃🦃11/11-183.4 ❌ (Trend Weight: 183.2) Well, this is a shock! I did have a pretty severe glucose drop last night. Instead of grabbing for candy from my DGS’s partial loot he left here, I opted for a bowl of Campbell’s Vegetable soup with some Ritz crackers. I normally eat 2 meals per day (plus snack at night) so the soup was a 3rd meal for me. It put me over on carbs (which was what I was looking for) but probably over on calories too. If I stuck the bowl on the scale it would not have even weighed the 2 ½ lbs that showed up on the scale this morning so obviously this is sodium induced fluid retention. Especially since an earlier meal had been a bit high in sodium. I’m looking forward to seeing it drop back off in the next day or two. I also have not slept well the past couple of day. 4 hours or less per night. My fitbit daily readiness was 25 (out of 100) yesterday and only 15 today. Even on good days my sleep is never restful as I get up so much. It’s also a diabetic thing and I despise it. Anyway, sending a great big thank you to all the veterans who have served our country and protected our peace.

Apparently a lot of us have “getorganizeditis,” judging by @Skyleen75 and @_JeffreyD_ and @majork29 and no doubt more people I’ve missed. Is it the weather? 🤣 I too often get distracted from the real task by “necessary” pre-tasks. This is actually a common topic among writers and other creative people—can’t start until the towels are refolded and stacked by color and the spice cabinet is alphabetized. But—and I was going to report this before I read this thread!—yesterday I did a thing. I had two bins of “skinny clothes” in my closet—clothes that fit me when I was 50 pounds smaller. And of course they taunted me every time I opened the doors. So I went through them one by one and decided there was nothing there that held much interest anymore. They’re boxed and in the car for delivery to a resale shop—today, before I change my mind. Someone may as well wear them before they go too much farther out of fashion. Today I’m getting winter duds out of storage and packing up summer clothes to store, and I’m going to go through those, too, before I pack them away. I have way too many “I can wear it in the garden” clothes that I should rip into rags! Anyway, this is the sort of job that I hate to start, but am happy to have done, and I always feel lighter afterward. I need to do this with my yarn stash, and give a few I’ll never use to someone who will. What does that have to do with losing weight? Quite a lot, I think, for me. I seem to resist junk food and snacks better when my space is tidied up.11/08 — 197.7
Finally! I’ve eaten responsibly the past few days, and it’s nice to see a little progress.11/09 — 198
Shoot. Sometimes I wonder about the trend calculations, and this time I think yesterday was likely a fluke. Whatever, I’m trending downward. We got our first snow last night, looks like about 2 inches. Pretty, but I’m not ready! It won’t stick long, though. We did our last garden cleanup yesterday, so good timing. Today I’m going to make veggie soup and knit.11/10 — 198
Today is my weekly brunch and knit day with a friend. I have my brunch order planned out!

11/10- 173.211/11- 172.3 - A drop and I'll take it. I'm sure its a bit of the TOM bloat and simply being back to routine. I am sore this morning after not having done as intense a workout as I did yesterday in over a month. It felt good to push myself. I did upper body today. My shoulder is definitely weak, but I was able to do everything with super light weight (or in the case of assisted pull ups, super heavy weight to offset my own). Water was really good. I did fall a bit further behind than I'd like in the evening, but even with that, I'm not sure I would've managed the last 10oz to meet my goal without a midnight wakeup. Today I'm doing better as far as where I'm at now. Hopefully I can keep up the momentum through the afternoon to hit my goal. 90oz really isn't bad after barely reading 64oz for 2 weeks so I'm content there.5 -

11/7: 175 😊
11/8: 173.9 🫢📉Unexpected loss. I was sooo hungry last night ALL evening! I didn’t have protein in my dinner, so go figure. So I munched on grapes, etc…healthy stuff. I had to help my mom a lot, so I got no exercise. I was expecting to weigh heavier. 🤷♀️Go figure! Today I’m hoping to get a bunch of stuff done and maybe some exercise. 🤞
11/9: 173.0 🤯📉Amazing! Again, unexpected! I did exercise an hour yesterday. We had an early dinner. 🤷♀️
11/10: 172.4 😊📉Exciting after such a painfully slow loss the past two months. I am learning patience—a hard lesson in weight loss. Today is lesson day, so busy, busy, busy. We always clean the house before my first lesson, so I’ll have some activity there.
Forgot to say yesterday that I made a new dish! I’m getting ready to learn some vegetarian dishes for my DC#1 and their GF come for a visit at Christmas. I made Vegetarian Butternut Squash Chili with Avocado. We weren’t confident that we would like it or even feel full (with no meat), but it was truly good and filling! Tonight we had it again. The only problem was that I mixed the spice bottles up and put too much Chipotle Chili Pepper in. Wow! Very hot. After reading what to do to calm down the hot spiciness of the dish, we suffered and split a cupcake. Apparently sugar helps. 🤣 I did add more other ingredients, as well fat free plain yogurt and tortilla chips as toppings. All of that helped…especially the cupcake…and the Tums!
11/11: 174.1 😳📈Well, I think I may have had quite a bit of sodium last night??? Tonight, we have dinner at an Italian 🇮🇹 restaurant. 🍝 Yikes! We will actually have three days in a row of eating out. Fun times! But I tapped for an hour, so maybe that will offset. 🤞

Back once again! Life threw me a couple of curve balls a in round 310 when I tried to jump back in, so fingers crossed all curve balls are behind me now (for the near future at least)!
38 year old female, 5'2", Australia. Just a couple of kilos to lose then back to maintenance.
SW - 90kg / 198.5lb - 2013
GW - 57-59kg / 125-130lb - Reached 2018 and again in November 2024 after having 2 kids
RSW - 62.8kg / 138.4lb
RGW - 62kg / 136.6lb
Round focus habits
- Drink water 💦
- No alcohol Monday-Thursday 🍺
- Home prepped meals 👨🍳
- Planned snacking 📃
11/10 - 62.8kg / 138.4lb - 💦🍺👨🍳 - drank my water, moved my body, avoided alcohol, prepped my food. A sneaky little unplanned snack tipped my calories over in the end, but it was balanced and not bingey so I'm still chalking the day up as a win!
11/11 - 62.5kg / 137.7lb - 💦🍺👨🍳📃- nailed all the goals today. Enjoying the motivation that comes with getting back on the horse, knowing this too shall pass but taking the losses while they come!
11/12 - 61.95 / 136.5lb - Big drop! Just getting back to sensible eating so it make sense that the numbers are changing pretty quickly. Glad to have made goal for the round. Now to stay steady over the next 4 days. I am with my little kids at home Thursday-Sunday and I find it much harder to keep on top of snacking/stess eating/drinking alcohol. Being in charge of 2 toddlers will do that to you I guess haha. Any tips and tricks for managing these (the snacking/stress eatng, not the toddlers haha) would be welcome!

🎷 67 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 314 (my 244th).
Goals for every round;
- First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!
- to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
- be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end
- to have a totally 10-day binge free round.
- Would like to lose a pound round.
I need to remain consistent - it does work! Good luck for success everyone.
Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 135. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.
Updated 20.08.24 – I met up with youngest DB, first time after his DP passed away at the way too early age of 46. DB lives a long way from us, we see him very infrequently & is very introvert, so not a sharer of info 😞. However, he finally opened up to me, it seems that his DPs bad health leading to heart failure followed by kidney, liver failure & then a massive stroke, was originally caused by heavy drinking. By the time he realised he was abusing his body and went teetotal, the damage was too late to reverse. He was on the list for a heart transplant, but his other organs gave up before one became available. This has made me think about how I am abusing my body when I have binges with way too much sugar, fat & salt. I know I am a food addict. I'm going to try to think about this when I am tempted to overindulge, I need to start respecting my body more and think about whether I want to be in the best health I can be. My body has served me so well for 67 years, it deserves to be given the best chance to keep serving me well & I've been really lucky that life has not dealt me a raw health deal, so I must not jeopardize that luck.
I am the driver in my life & not the passenger, I need to drive my life to a healthy life."Health is wealth".

Just Give Me 10 Days – Round 314
Nov 7 - 16, 202564 year old female, 5’5”. I am married, semi-nomadic (we live in three states, Mass, Maine, Florida).
SW: 131.6
11/7 – 130.2 Did not expect a down as I did not track well yesterday. Did do the 6.5 mile walk, my first walk in months. Definitely feeling some pain, but that happens with jumping in fast.
11/8 – 131.0 Tracking not happening, but I again got in a walk, 4.5 miles. If I can re-establish exercise this round, that would be wonderful.
11/9 – DNW
11/10 – DNW
11/11 – 131.4 I dreamt that I got up to 138. I think that is a clue that I need to get back together. The one thing I am doing well is I am walking almost every day. Today, at little over 5.5 miles before posting here. Yesterday 5 miles, and the day before I walked with hubby so 1.75. Today will be a day of no eating out, or entertaining, or eating leftovers. I should be able to do ONE well tracked day.
11/12 – 130.2 Choices were better yesterday, though not entered into my tracker. The negative to all the walking I am suddenly doing, I am in pain 24/7. Sad because that did not used to be the case, and it just tells me the fitness I have lost and need to get back.

Yesterday went the way it should. Yoga and floor exercise to start the day. Then, a long road trip with DW for a Dr. appointment which included lunch out. The food was so good and ample. I logged it all along the way and restricted my supper at home by pre-logging it and adjusting to stay within goals. If only…11/8: 221.2

Slowly undoing the weekend away at DD house.Heavy on our minds this week is the birthday party / anniversary party we are throwing for my parents. Not a lot of work, but still a bit stressful. They both turn 90 before the end of the year and they will celebrate their 70th anniversary in January. The highlight of the party will be when my parents play “twister!” (JUST KIDDING!!) We are holding the party at Dad’s nursing home. Looking forward to seeing some people I haven’t seen for a while.

11/16I was going to say yesterday was another stressful day, but I'm starting to think that my kids are just more stressful now and this is just life. They are hard. I'm counting down the minutes until Friday when they go to my mom's for the weekend. I'm so grateful she is able and willing to care for them.
I had a mini breakdown that included some crackers, cookies and such. Not a huge deal, but these moments are ones a want to eliminate to see faster results, and to stay in control of my body.

good morning, late starting this challenge but woke up inspired and eager to get back on track. So hello everyone. I’m 67 🤪and lost 40 lbs during Covid and became vegan as well and also gave up alcohol, so I guess I could say Covid provided gave me a kickstart to look after my health. I’ve kept the weight off, up and down a few either way. I’d love to lose the last 20 lbs I never did.

@Zaxa2021 I think 4 HAS to be the hardest age. They're so well-spoken and can keep it together for stretches and seem reasonable, but then they do stuff and you're just like "WHAT?! WHYYYYYYY" because they still have so little impulse control. I hate to wish away the years but I'm hoping there is some magic switch when my 4yo turns 5. Though I honestly won't be shocked if we end up with an ADHD diagnosis at some point and we'll be managing behavior forever. Anyway, can't imagine having 2 4yos and being home with them every day. I fall apart on weekends with my kids and then spend the week trying to pull myself back together. Parenting little kids is tough. Glad you're spending some time taking care of you!
@evivahealth like I just said to @Zaxa2021 I'm super bad at staying on track when I'm around my kids. On the days I manage I just have to tell myself "this treat is for them, not for you". Where I struggle is when we get together with our parent friends and we send the kids away to romp while we sit and chat and drink beer. I haven't figured out how to navigate that one yet so almost every weekend I reset my efforts from the week. No real advice, just solidarity!
I know they're going to eventually lose interest in hanging out with us and be able to be independent, so right now I just do the best I can to feel the best I can and give myself a ton of grace.

F 67, 5’6”, married, retired. Embracing a “growing younger” positive mindset - to be fully present to enjoy each day of this #HSF (healthy, strong, fit) journey. I fully commit to a daily renewal of #MindBodySoul. HW 172lbs in 2010. Optimum weight of 127 to 129lbs in 2015. Roller Coaster 🎢 ride with max of 145lbs every three years since 2015.
Round#314 is my JGMTD 84th round. I joined JGMTD in Aug 2023 @ 145lbs & reached my confident weight of 128lbs in Dec 2023.

11/7 Ready to start this round! I remember R300 was one of my most successful rounds because I dedicated it to all the JGMTD long-term participants. I honestly want to dedicate this to @skyleen75 because she has been such an inspiration … And of course, I seem to do much better when I put someone else before me. 😜 LETS GO!
oh, and I laughed so hard last night with my friends - I’m on my way to chalking up some good fun. ✅ I’m adding this checkmark ✅ to track laughter and joy to my day because I need to make sure each day is filled to the brim!11/8 I am not any less committed this morning than I was at 6:15 PM last night. I had a perfect day until meeting family for dinner to celebrate my sister‘s birthday… Perfect nutrition (🏆) 🏋️♂️👣📖. I was planned and prepared… Until, one alcoholic beverage (oh just one), and a “small” taste of the best pasta my mouth has tasted in years… Oh what FAKE delight! That was it! It was over from that singular moment. At least I stuck to only one alcoholic beverage, but I ate the entire plate of pasta then, THEN…. enjoyed a very small piece of cheesecake. I’m not upset this morning… I’m even more committed as it proves that my self-discipline can disappear at any moment. POOF! GONE! I will consciously avoid any temptation for the remainder of #318 & #319. I know that moderation is key, but I’ve been on this journey long enough to know that I’ve been giving too much lip service and choosing to not buckle down and staying firm to my ultimate BHAG (decision). It starts with getting a grip on my thought patterns. ONWARD!
11/9 Stayed on nutrition plan… and, will be active today. Focusing on attitude adjustments.
11/10. Calories on target, macros off. Increase hydration today! Still not quite myself but journaling and challenging my thought patterns. Glad it’s Monday!
11/11 Zero fun yesterday. Slept most of the day and almost 10 hours last night so I guess I’m fighting something. Hydrated well. Tracked & ate @ maintenance . Not the best choices but limited portions. I do have a much more positive attitude after an unplanned “rest” day. Today? Im hopeful. We are experiencing that 🥶 spell so I doubt I’ll get much outdoor activity. Give me 🥵 HEAT over 🥶! And, 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 sincerest gratitude to our veterans!
11/12 Discipline & attitude slowly returning. Step count is down tho. Today - 🏆🤸🏼🎾🚶♀️💗👣📖✅ I reconfirmed my nutrition plan is spot on! Just need to continually set myself up for success (prepare & plan) & follow-thru. Keep the momentum flowing. #HSF #MindBodySoul

11/12 - 130.2 🏃🏻♀️📝 Book club didn't go great last night, ended up 1000 calories over. People brought such good snacks! Next month I think I won't eat dinner and will just plan on book club snacks being dinner, especially since our book this month is a memoir by a chef and it will be in the midst of the holidays. I did a Peloton ride yesterday. Today I think my workout will just be walking the dogs since the weather warmed up and I can take them on a longer one. I have to take a strength test to finish up a strength program I did on Peloton but I think I'll wait until I have a better night of sleep under my belt and do that one tomorrow.

HW: 209.5 **was higher but I just did not get on the scales.
RSW: 192.2
RGW: 190
FGW: 175
UGW: 125I am Kira, working, an empty nester, and married. I live in Edmonton, Alberta with my hubby, dog, Farley, cats Shadow and Hunter. I have tried all diets and programs out there over the years, but nothing has worked for long. Now I am working on loving life and trying to be healthier.
A smile is a curve that sets everything straight.
Phyllis DillerGoals for this round are:
- Eat with purpose.
- Drink 50oz of water daily
- Get my step count to 6k daily.
11/07 - 191.8/5,289/125 - I didn't expect a drop this morning with all the chips and chocolate that I ate last night. I did get the shed reorganized and ready for winter and, found my Christmas decorations for the front lawn.
11/08 - 192.6/4,640/4 - I got the uptick I expected yesterday this morning. Hopefully tomorrow I will be back down. I get to go out and shovel this morning so that the front walk doesn’t get icy. I enjoyed watching the snow all day yesterday. Today I will be going out first to shovel then for a walk around the bock in the cold fresh air.
11/09 - 192.4/4,347/6 - was hoping for a bit more of a drop but life is what it is sometimes. I'm going out for lunch today with an old friend that I never seem to get together with. Looking at my goal to eat with purpose, I have not been doing that much lately. I need to think before I chew.
11/10 - 193.0/4,214/22 - yeeks!! not sure what happened!! Okay maybe I do know what happened. I am an emotional eater, Yesterday my dd was supposed to come home for a few days and I was really looking forward to seeing her. By lunch time I hadn’t heard from her so I knew that she wasn't coming, at 2 I finally heard from her and she said she couldn’t come up, the excuse didn’t sound right so I know it was really the boyfriend who didn’t want her to leave. I finished off the Halloween candy plus had caramel popcorn and sprite while watching a movie. Today is a new day and I am going to move forward from this. I have got to learn a new way of dealing with my emotions. I am getting better in that I'm down to only 1 day instead of a week but still.
11/11 - 192.6/3,840/5 - glad to see the slight loss, hoping to keep it that way. Today is Remembrance Day, I am going to take some time today to remember those that fought for our country.
11/12 - 192.6/7,277/27 - no change in weight but I did blow my step goal away. I took the time to walk to the grocery store instead of getting in my car. Today I am going to look for ways I can increase my steps.

Being consistent is not one of my attributes. My thoughts and feelings whip me around on a regular basis. When I do the funk in my brain, my healthy behaviors fall apart as I try to find equilibrium. Its like I lose my balance and eating is a way to not fall over?

11/8-136-Played Pickel ball and rode the horse (short nap required) would have made it down a pound, but baked a chicken for dinner and had some of that while fresh. Horse and yard work today, some quilting added to that.
11/9-135-Worked in the garage yesterday and will finish it today. Someone was talking about trying to organize one area of their house/life and see 20 other things that need attention. I find it hard to keep up with all of my quilting projects, yard projects while every room in the house needs attention. Meanwhile, I need to get our house/yard ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I absolutely have got to make lists just to survive.
11/10-135-Glad to stay here after a big tablespoon of peanut butter yesterday when I wanted a snack. Made a big list of what needs to get done, and a list of four things that I will work on for 15 minutes daily. Hopefully I can get caught up doing it like that.

Today I'm going to head back to the pool now that the long weekend is over. I don't like going on weekends because the pool is filled with children. It's also my favourite day of the week when it comes to WW Workshops because I love the coach this morning. Looking forward to it!)

Tonight, we have dinner at an Italian restaurant. Yikes! We will actually have three days in a row of eating out. Fun times!
11/12: 173.6 😊📉Yesterday was a good day. I was expecting a gain this morning after last night’s meal, even though I exercised an hour yesterday and had a large surplus of calories left. So I’ll take this. I’m taking a friend to an appointment and out to lunch, in addition to dinner out with friends tonight. Don’t know if I’ll get any exercise. Tomorrow will be interesting.
Last night, DH split everything with me and it was just the right amount! The restaurant split the salad and entree for us. We had 4 spoons for the dessert. All GF!!!🤩

192.6/7,277/27 what is the last number stand for?
@ashleycarole86 Where are you? Missing your posts!
@_JeffreyD_ are you eating any sliced bread when watching UPF's? How do you handle toast, sandwiches etc? (or do you avoid altogether). Perhaps you have a specific brand bread you are using. I use a high fiber low net carb bread but it's mainly because of my diabetes. bTW, Happy Happy Birthday(s) to your mom & dad. I hope you all will enjoy the party and the time together! Yes, on the pics!
