Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. You have only one hour to edit your post. Post every day to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non-scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share. Make the board your own - track what is important for YOUR JOURNEY.
FOR NEWBIES – You may find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in your device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all the posts.

I’m ready for an uninterrupted round of consistency, persistence, and focus. BHAG 128-130lbs. I was there for several months at this time last year and several months the year before. I will do it again and remain. #HSF #MindBodySoul.
@Skyleen75 I’m dedicating Rounds 314 & 315 to you (the most FUN BAD-*kitten* gal on MFP…!!!) IN HONOR of your trip to Japan and your Aunt! Please remember us with unforgettable photos and shenanigans… although I don’t think anything will ever top boxing with the midgets!!! (little people? Dwarfs?… whatever). I’m wishing you the trip of a lifetime!

🎷 67 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 314 (my 244th).
Goals for every round;
- First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!
- to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
- be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end
- to have a totally 10-day binge free round.
- Would like to lose a pound round.
I need to remain consistent - it does work! Good luck for success everyone.
Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 135. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.
Updated 20.08.24 – I met up with youngest DB, first time after his DP passed away at the way too early age of 46. DB lives a long way from us, we see him very infrequently & is very introvert, so not a sharer of info 😞. However, he finally opened up to me, it seems that his DPs bad health leading to heart failure followed by kidney, liver failure & then a massive stroke, was originally caused by heavy drinking. By the time he realised he was abusing his body and went teetotal, the damage was too late to reverse. He was on the list for a heart transplant, but his other organs gave up before one became available. This has made me think about how I am abusing my body when I have binges with way too much sugar, fat & salt. I know I am a food addict. I'm going to try to think about this when I am tempted to overindulge, I need to start respecting my body more and think about whether I want to be in the best health I can be. My body has served me so well for 67 years, it deserves to be given the best chance to keep serving me well & I've been really lucky that life has not dealt me a raw health deal, so I must not jeopardize that luck.
I am the driver in my life & not the passenger, I need to drive my life to a healthy life."Health is wealth".

11/08 173.2 I’m ready for some adventures eating in Japan! My travel fairy godmother aunt is health conscious and will always choose the long winding walking path. We’re not planning on elaborate meals but lots of street food and local snacks. And my Japanese Auntie has already planned our fancy meals.
I’m confident there won’t be any dramatic scale changes but just in case I’m packing only elastic waistbands.
Bit of a shake up with the air travel situation and I’m leaving a day earlier. Mini panic attack!
Anyone else ever find themselves with a huge list of things to do but find themselves detailing the washing machine or cleaning out the spice cabinet when really I should just be doing a load of laundry and cooking a quick dinner????

You said, "Anyone else ever find themselves with a huge list of things to do but find themselves detailing the washing machine or cleaning out the spice cabinet when really I should just be doing a load of laundry and cooking a quick dinner????"
YES! that hits my personality right on the head! What comes to mind is my garage. It needs a good reorganization. I stand in the middle of it and imagine it all. There are things I could do, but I should really do "this thing" first so "things" are done in the proper order. and BTW there is not enough time to do "this thing" right now, so I will wait for the perfect time.

Yesterday went the way it should. Yoga and floor exercise to start the day. Then, a long road trip with DW for a Dr. appointment which included lunch out. The food was so good and ample. I logged it all along the way and restricted my supper at home by pre-logging it and adjusting to stay within goals. If only…11/8:

I'm back after a bit of a break... and it was not good. I spiraled pretty bad. I ended up gaining a lot of weight in the last month or so. So I'm back, trying to get back on track. I've done pretty well the last couple of days, I'm hoping to gain some momentum and lose this weight gain and a little extra.

11/7 Ready to start this round! I remember R300 was one of my most successful rounds because I dedicated it to all the JGMTD long-term participants. I honestly want to dedicate this to @skyleen75 because she has been such an inspiration … And of course, I seem to do much better when I put someone else before me. 😜 LETS GO!

@Skyleen75 - yes I find myself with a huge list of things that I must do and then I getdistracted and do other things. It's myADHD brain. I have learned to givemyself grace and celebrate everything that I do get off my to do list.

It turned out soooo yummy. Everyone had seconds and took leftovers for thirds. Such a banger! Even my husband said that I should make it for my stepson when he comes over, because he thinks he would really enjoy it. And a loss on the scale the next day?? Such a win!)

Apparently a lot of us have “getorganizeditis,” judging by @Skyleen75 and @_JeffreyD_ and @majork29 and no doubt more people I’ve missed. Is it the weather? 🤣 I too often get distracted from the real task by “necessary” pre-tasks. This is actually a common topic among writers and other creative people—can’t start until the towels are refolded and stacked by color and the spice cabinet is alphabetized. But—and I was going to report this before I read this thread!—yesterday I did a thing. I had two bins of “skinny clothes” in my closet—clothes that fit me when I was 50 pounds smaller. And of course they taunted me every time I opened the doors. So I went through them one by one and decided there was nothing there that held much interest anymore. They’re boxed and in the car for delivery to a resale shop—today, before I change my mind. Someone may as well wear them before they go too much farther out of fashion. Today I’m getting winter duds out of storage and packing up summer clothes to store, and I’m going to go through those, too, before I pack them away. I have way too many “I can wear it in the garden” clothes that I should rip into rags! Anyway, this is the sort of job that I hate to start, but am happy to have done, and I always feel lighter afterward. I need to do this with my yarn stash, and give a few I’ll never use to someone who will. What does that have to do with losing weight? Quite a lot, I think, for me. I seem to resist junk food and snacks better when my space is tidied up.11/08

ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND 185.0
🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃 11/07-183.6 ✅ (Trend Weight – 184.0) Good luck to everyone this round! It’s Time for a really good round for us all. I must say, though, that every time I even get CLOSE to the number 179.9 or even 180.0 I grab my “stuff” and run the other way. It’s like 180.0 is the Great Wall Of China, so long that I just can’t get around it and something I could never scale either! It’s like it is a trigger for me! Yesterday we celebrated Foodie DD’s 31st birthday with restaurant, cake and ice cream. Ugg. Planning a good day today though (in spite of her). However, I woke up to this article which has me feeling so very disheartened. That Great Wall just got longer, taller and even thicker. It’s going to be tough getting on that exercise bike if it doesn’t help me or make me more fit!

good morning, late starting this challenge but woke up inspired and eager to get back on track. So hello everyone. I’m 67 🤪and lost 40 lbs during Covid and became vegan as well and also gave up alcohol, so I guess I could say Covid provided gave me a kickstart to look after my health. I’ve kept the weight off, up and down a few either way. I’d love to lose the last 20 lbs I never did.

@pezhed @deepwoodslady @musicsax @SModa61~ Thank you for the birthday wishes!
@sands4 ~ Welcome!
@quiltingjaine ~ Good to see you back after your long trip!!!
@deepwoodslady I agree with @Smoda61 re your graph. It's the perfect example of weight loss NOT being linear and if you gave up on each of those peaks…you'd would of have been as successful as you are!! I need to take notes!
@Skyleen75 ~ Your vacation sounds wonderful. Long walks, street food and local snacks. Take lots of pictures. Glad you're getting out a day early. I'm listening to air travel cancellations as I type, so I hope you got out and are at your destination.
@jrago47 ~ YES, you can get to onederland this round!! Yes!!
@Seniorliving ~ So sorry for the loss of your step father. Glad to have you back, though!
@SheilaBoneham @Skyleen75 @majork29 @_JeffreyD_ Add me to the club. I am forever organizing…my husband, not so much…so it's a forever battle! I just pulled everything out of the hall closet, bought containers, sorted the stuff/junk into the containers and stacked them neatly back into the closet. Feels soo good.
11/7 DNW ~ Went out to breakfast and dinner for my birthday. Had a green salad along with my omelet for breakfast. The salad was really good, and I'm not big on salads, usually. Dinner, had crab cakes for an appetizer and creole style catfish for my meal. All very good and ALL would have appeared on the scale for sure!!
