    @age_is_just_a_number That's fantastic news on the NSV Jeans Accomplishments. That's the one that REALLY counts!

    My bad eyes can't read the model # or info on the back of my scale but it is a GE. I bought it because it didn't need batteries — rechargeable. I use the GE Fit Profile app on my phone. I keep my phone near the scale and it automatically updates the app for me. It does not transfer it over to my Fitbit app even though my bluetooth is turned on in my phone. I input the weight manually into the Fitbit app. I am going to go down the rabbit hole and navigate further into the GE Fit app to see if there is even more data and information to be had. I will also see if I can email a report to myself. If I find myself lost and not savvy enough, I guess I'll be happy with the data I do have. I do love the scale.

    @dawnbgethealthy Did you get your ribs last night? Just wondering because your weight went down by over 1/2 pound!

    100 Days of Weighing In #25 ^^^^^ December 01, 2025 through March 10, 2026

    My Name is Donna, Age 65. I am 5’5” tall & I live in Northern Michigan USA. My goal this round will put me weighing less than I have in exactly 20 years and in my mid 40’s. Seems INSURMOUNTABLE and IMPOSSIBLE but never say never, right? My highest weight was 253 and I started MFP weighing 235. I started the 100 day challenges at 196.2. I will continue with my little experiment of losing weight in nibbles and bite-sized pieces. I started the experiment in round #23 and so far I have never completely reached total goal, but have done quite well nonetheless in both #23 and #24. Better than usual for sure. Oh, but December is tough and could put me in a catch-up game for most of this challenge so I must be very careful. And winter is not usually successful for me in general either. There are so many extra things to contend with. However, if I lay my excuses aside, avoid self-sabotage and expect no more than those bite-sized pieces of weight loss, I know it will add up. Here’s to being more fit and in better health by the end of this challenge!

    Thanks for sharing your journey with me and allowing me to share mine with you. I am grateful for you all.

    CURRENT WEEK:

    Day 01—12/01-- DNW↔️ (Trend Weight: DNW)

    Day 02—12/02—179.6 ❌ (Trend Weight: 179.8) Well there’s the true damage from my Thanksgiving dinner and other shenanigans regarding the leftovers. Looks like I have an extra 1.6 lbs to lose this week PLUS my normal goal loss (0.7) for a GRAND TOTAL of 2.3 lbs. My trend weight has not changed in the end, however, (after two DNW days) so there’s that. Last night I gave up some of my healthier dinner choices for some of that leftover pie after all. It was a trade-off that was pretty selfish, irresistible, weak and delicious. Just keeping it honest here. It wasn’t very smart either as it does not support me making (and keeping) better habits in my life. Holidays are extra tough! Moving onward, forward and further from that 180 border for the rest of this week is my intent. I have several days of travel next week that I don’t want to be devastating to my overall progress. I must get back into my good habits and have SOMETHING to fall back on in the midst of all the upcoming Big City temptations. Focusing on mindset. I’m still in the 170’s (barely) and grateful for that. I’ve got the ball, now it’s time for me to Run Forest, Run.

    🎅🎅🎅🎅Day 03—12/03—179.8 ❌ - (Trend Weight: 179.8) I’m finally matching my trend weight. I was over calorie by a couple hundred and over carb by a million yesterday. I’ve been eating garbage choices since Thanksgiving. I haven’t exercised in several days and water…what’s water? Sleep has been mediocre. In general, the whole thing is a mess. Time to get back to the basics. Today I take my older DGS for his hair appointment so he’ll look nice for his upcoming Christmas concert next week. As usual, I’ll treat him to dinner afterward. I’ll decide later if I’ll eat with him or skip it and sit with my water (which is what I do if he chooses McDonald’s!) Anything I have out, at this point, would be better than what I’ve been eating at home since the 29th. Luckily the scale is not going crazy! But how many times can I slap at it and not get slapped back?

    Thank you for the suggestion. Will ask my husband to pick this up for me today. I've never experienced having a sore throat for this long (6 consecutive days so far). I'm thinking it's just a virus and not strep since it's just accompanied by a cough, no fever.

    Teri, 62 years old, 5’4”

    Challenge Starting Weight: 147.0 lbs
    Challenge Goal Weight: 142 lbs
    Ultimate Goal Weight: 135 lbs

    age_is_just_a_number  We go back and forth every few years or so between real and artificial Christmas trees. We’re now in our artificial tree phase.

    @Piedpiper2  Welcome to the group!

    Crochetluvr  I love that idea… making my 3’ tree into a doggy tree in years to come!

    Day 01—12/01—147.0  Gained an ounce since the beginning of the last challenge. But I’m not giving up! Hence, here I am.

    Day 02—12/02—146.8  Have been dealing with a sore throat, cough and low energy since last Friday. So annoying.

    Day 03—12/03—146.2   I’ve been contemplating and stressing about putting up our big Christmas tree. Kaya is still a pup and gets into everything. Visions of her pulling and breaking ornaments, or pulling down the whole tree have been consuming my thoughts. I've decided to take the pressure off by buying a 3-foot prelit tree which I will decorate and put on our side table. I have enough decorations to make our home feel festive without the tall tree.

    Day 04—12/04—146.0  (Trend weight 146.6). Have been eating less, a silver lining to having a sore throat, I guess. At least I’m feeling a bit better as we’re scheduled for family photos up on the mountain at sunset today, a gift from my daughter. I don’t love being in front of the camera, I always feel like I take terrible pictures and don’t want to ruin the shot (LOL), but I know I’d regret not having pictures with my family so I will do it.

    I quite like this YouTube video Tedx talk done by photographer Teri Hofford (yup, another Teri!). Don't let the title of the video fool you. It has nothing to do with how to look better in pictures. It is all about our mindset and why we think we look bad in pictures. During the video, she does a little test with the audience in which everyone takes two selfies: 1 from above and 1 from below.

    I've been playing around with Google Sheet charting and conditional formatting (I probably shouldn't say "playing", because it's been very frustrating). In any case, I've created a new weight loss chart and daily diff table for this challenge.

    My goal on the mini-challenge that @age_is_just_a_number and I are doing is to lose 4 pounds by December 31st (starting on November 14th). It turns out that a ~0.1 lb/day loss gets me there, so I'm going with a 0.1 lb daily loss on all five of the following goals.

    If I'm successful, I'll continue that same line until July 10th, 2026 (end of my year six) , which is the end of year six of my fitness journey. Doing so means I won't hit 230 by that date, but I'll get close. Then I'll continue from there.

    My revised goals:

    • goal 1 (12/31/25) weigh 255.8 255 :: lose 4.8 pounds in 47 days (since 11/14)
    • goal 2 (1/10/26) weigh 255.2 254 :: lose 5.8 pounds in 57 days (since 11/14)
    • goal 3 (3/1026) weigh 248 :: lose 11.8 pounds in 116 days (since 11/14)
    • goal 4 (7/10/26) weigh 230 236 :: lose 23.8 pounds in 238 days (since 11/14)
    • goal 5 (12/31/26) weigh 220 :: lose 39.8 pounds in 412 days (since 11/14)
      (my lowest weight was 221.5 on 2/27/22, then I started gaining again)

    Losing ~0.7 lbs/week over the next year seems doable, but I'm not foolish enough to think it will be easy. When I started 5½ years ago, I was able to lose 2+ lbs/week for the better part of a year. But I was much heavier then, and we all know the closer you are to your goal weight, the harder it gets.
