@age_is_just_a_number That's fantastic news on the NSV Jeans Accomplishments. That's the one that REALLY counts!
My bad eyes can't read the model # or info on the back of my scale but it is a GE. I bought it because it didn't need batteries — rechargeable. I use the GE Fit Profile app on my phone. I keep my phone near the scale and it automatically updates the app for me. It does not transfer it over to my Fitbit app even though my bluetooth is turned on in my phone. I input the weight manually into the Fitbit app. I am going to go down the rabbit hole and navigate further into the GE Fit app to see if there is even more data and information to be had. I will also see if I can email a report to myself. If I find myself lost and not savvy enough, I guess I'll be happy with the data I do have. I do love the scale.
@dawnbgethealthy Did you get your ribs last night? Just wondering because your weight went down by over 1/2 pound!

100 Days of Weighing In #25 ^^^^^ December 01, 2025 through March 10, 2026
My Name is Donna, Age 65. I am 5’5” tall & I live in Northern Michigan USA. My goal this round will put me weighing less than I have in exactly 20 years and in my mid 40’s. Seems INSURMOUNTABLE and IMPOSSIBLE but never say never, right? My highest weight was 253 and I started MFP weighing 235. I started the 100 day challenges at 196.2. I will continue with my little experiment of losing weight in nibbles and bite-sized pieces. I started the experiment in round #23 and so far I have never completely reached total goal, but have done quite well nonetheless in both #23 and #24. Better than usual for sure. Oh, but December is tough and could put me in a catch-up game for most of this challenge so I must be very careful. And winter is not usually successful for me in general either. There are so many extra things to contend with. However, if I lay my excuses aside, avoid self-sabotage and expect no more than those bite-sized pieces of weight loss, I know it will add up. Here’s to being more fit and in better health by the end of this challenge!
Thanks for sharing your journey with me and allowing me to share mine with you. I am grateful for you all.

CURRENT WEEK:
Day 01—12/01-- DNW↔️ (Trend Weight: DNW)
Day 02—12/02—179.6 ❌ (Trend Weight: 179.8) Well there’s the true damage from my Thanksgiving dinner and other shenanigans regarding the leftovers. Looks like I have an extra 1.6 lbs to lose this week PLUS my normal goal loss (0.7) for a GRAND TOTAL of 2.3 lbs. My trend weight has not changed in the end, however, (after two DNW days) so there’s that. Last night I gave up some of my healthier dinner choices for some of that leftover pie after all. It was a trade-off that was pretty selfish, irresistible, weak and delicious. Just keeping it honest here. It wasn’t very smart either as it does not support me making (and keeping) better habits in my life. Holidays are extra tough! Moving onward, forward and further from that 180 border for the rest of this week is my intent. I have several days of travel next week that I don’t want to be devastating to my overall progress. I must get back into my good habits and have SOMETHING to fall back on in the midst of all the upcoming Big City temptations. Focusing on mindset. I’m still in the 170’s (barely) and grateful for that. I’ve got the ball, now it’s time for me to Run Forest, Run.
🎅🎅🎅🎅Day 03—12/03—179.8 ❌ - (Trend Weight: 179.8) I’m finally matching my trend weight. I was over calorie by a couple hundred and over carb by a million yesterday. I’ve been eating garbage choices since Thanksgiving. I haven’t exercised in several days and water…what’s water? Sleep has been mediocre. In general, the whole thing is a mess. Time to get back to the basics. Today I take my older DGS for his hair appointment so he’ll look nice for his upcoming Christmas concert next week. As usual, I’ll treat him to dinner afterward. I’ll decide later if I’ll eat with him or skip it and sit with my water (which is what I do if he chooses McDonald’s!) Anything I have out, at this point, would be better than what I’ve been eating at home since the 29th. Luckily the scale is not going crazy! But how many times can I slap at it and not get slapped back?

Thank you for the suggestion. Will ask my husband to pick this up for me today. I've never experienced having a sore throat for this long (6 consecutive days so far). I'm thinking it's just a virus and not strep since it's just accompanied by a cough, no fever.

Day 01—12/01—147.0 Gained an ounce since the beginning of the last challenge. But I’m not giving up! Hence, here I am.
Day 02—12/02—146.8 Have been dealing with a sore throat, cough and low energy since last Friday. So annoying.
Day 03—12/03—146.2 I’ve been contemplating and stressing about putting up our big Christmas tree. Kaya is still a pup and gets into everything. Visions of her pulling and breaking ornaments, or pulling down the whole tree have been consuming my thoughts. I've decided to take the pressure off by buying a 3-foot prelit tree which I will decorate and put on our side table. I have enough decorations to make our home feel festive without the tall tree.

@bteri107 re the Christmas tree —> Growing up, we nearly always had a real tree and it went up 1 week before Christmas and came down 1 week after Christmas. We've kept that tradition, except that for years and years we had an artificial tree. A few years ago the artificial tree was done and we've been doing real trees. Even still, I've been itching to get one and put it up early. But we have a 50+pound 4 month puppy. I can only imagine how much damage she could do in 1 minute. lol. I'll see what I can convince my husband to do.

Day 1, Mon, 91.1 kg, 30 minutes running on the treadmill, I didn’t time my eating well so I was hungry in the evening, which resulted in eating too much
Day 2, Tue, 91.3 kg, 30 minutes running on the treadmill. In the last 6 months I have indulged in buying large bags of potato chips. I sampled all the brands and most of the flavours. I blame some of my weight gain due to those chips. I have decided to ban myself from all potato chips until I reach goal weight. I don’t think that is too onerous a task. Back in the day a 40 gram bag was common, now they are hard to find. 150 gram bags are where it’s at. Due to indulging today I can expect a gain tomorrow.
Day 3, Wed, 91.7 kg, 30 minutes running on the treadmill
Day 4, Thu, 91.8 kg

@@age_is_just_a_number Congrats on the jeans NSV! I love wearing jeans and have found some that I like so much that I've bought them in multiple sizes hoping to slide down in size. I started with size 18, then wore 16 on our Alaska trip and 14 on our European trip. Trying to decide if I should order some on sale to have available in 12 just in case for the South Pacific trip (we will be in Tasmania for part of the trip and it will be cold there).
@dawnbgethealthy - I'm not sure they are going to let you have those 2 days per week off if you keep losing your 1 day off. ((HUGS)) How is your cold weather gardening going … did you get the last root veggies dug up before the ground freezes?

Pleasant surprise after returning from grandkid duty. My guess is though the food was higher in calorie than I wanted … I did not have time to eat much. Eating with toddlers is like that I never finished anything I started eating and I didn't snack. So that is probably what led to the drop on the scale!
Took my granddaughter to the doctor and yes she did have an ear infection … I'm glad I could help resolve that before handing her off to the other grandmother. I napped as soon as I got home and the rest of the day was a waste … accomplished nothing on my to do list. My daughter and her husband made it back home last night.

Good Morning, Friends!
@Piedpiper2 , Hey there! WELCOME to the challenge! And yes, this is a tough month for everyone. But it can be done.....GOOD LUCK!!
@age_is_just_a_number , thanks...I do feel better. And I have to admit I was not expecting that big of a drop. 🙂
@bteri107 , when my Qamar was a puppy, I had a portable fence that I put around the tree that first year. But the little tree sounds nice and you can use it for an additional tree in years to come. You can make it your doggy's tree! 🐶🌲
Day 01—12/01— 161 - Another salty meal yesterday.....shrimp basket....got me a bit bloated. Today I had a turkey club salad from Saladworks....that was my main meal. Spent the day decorating and still haven't found my tree stand. I have a feeling it's in the bottom of the ornament box...which means I have to take all the ornaments out to get to it. Not very bright of me....I'll know better next time.
Day 02—12/02— 161.4 - UGH! I really wanted to see the end of the 160s. Still, it's my own fault. But started today with an Atkins shake. Lunch looks like a tuna sandwich and dinner, tilapia. Feeling a little down today....hope I can get the ambition to finish decorating.
Day 03—12/03— 159.2- I don't know what happened to me yesterday...felt sick to my stomach. Don't think it was anything I ate (had exactly what I said I was going to yesterday). As a result I didn't get anything accomplished except on the phone. Today I feel better. Had a granola bar for breakfast.…the rest of today's food is undecided, atm.
Day 04—12/04— 158 - Nice to see that number! I am having a small mug of vegetable juice for breakfast. Not sure about the rest of the day... maybe a hard-boiled egg sandwich for lunch. Dinner could be tilapia again….I have a good dry rub for it. Never found the tree stand, which is maddening! I had to order a new one, which wasn't in the budget. Oh well. If I eventually find it, I'll give it to my daughter.

Weird day yesterday. Walked the dogs. Spent most of the day on my computer (so sedentary). Ate dinner late (7pm —> I know that is not late for some of you, but for us it is late). Ate Korean fried chicken + a salad. Went over on IN calories. I don't mind going over on IN calories when I've had cake or alcohol. But yesterday, I ate pretty regular food. I used a generic entry for the fried chicken. Perhaps that estimate was over. I also had Costco Cranberry Walnut bread at lunch (I hardly ever eat bread anymore). I did not sleep well last night. Got up at 4am to take the puppy out, then couldn't fall back to sleep. Ended up getting out of bed this morning at 9:30 feeling bloated and tired. I was expecting the scale to be up. But it was down. I couldn't believe it. I weighted twice to confirm. It just goes to show you that one day does not define us and the scale is just one little metric. Today we are having a bigger dinner with wine and cake for dessert. Hopefully, I'll sleep better tonight and my husband will get up when the puppy whines.

Yes, I got the last patch of carrots and beets out a few weeks ago. I still have a big bowl of carrots to peel and process, something that I was going to do on my day off….which didn't occur.
I will get those done on my split shift breaks Saturday, Sunday, or Monday.

Hi everyone.
I am Dawn. 5'2" 65yo, SE BC Canada. I am here to lose weight, like all of us.
Day 01—12/01 -- 137.8 - I lost 1 total pound in the last 100, and put it back on last night, sigh.
Day 02—12/02 — 137.8 - 3 days in a row I missed breakfast. Today I will make sure to have something. I have been peeling beets etc. in the mornings and then wham, it is time to get to work. I still have a bucket of carrots to deal with. Day off tomorrow, my one day this week, so I will get to work on processing those. I think that I am going to have my once per 3 months ribs tonight. I will pay the piper early in this 100.
Day 03—12/03 — 137.2 - Poof to my one day off, I have to go into work argh, no day off until next Tuesday.
Day 04—12/04 — 137.4 - Not too much fallout from the Ribs. My new strategy is to eat them super early, i.e. 12 hours + before my weigh in the next morning. They were super delicious, Mole, frozen pre-cooked. I have also gotten back to having some sort of breakfast, I was off of that for several days and gained weight even though I felt lean. A little more than halfway through my 11 days straight at work groan. Pacing myself. I WILL get my 2 days off in a row next week : - )
Day 05—12/05 —
Day 06—12/06 —
Day 07— 12/07 —
Week 1 Start Weight: 137.8
Week 1 Goal: 136.8
Week 1 Actual Weight: Once every 100 days Ribs eaten.

@Lilylady3k So glad your granddaughter got the medical attention she needed and is on her way to recovery. I'm sure you'll need more than one nap to recover from chasing after toddlers!
@Piedpiper2 Welcome to the challenge! We are so glad to have you here.
I do not want to discourage you and knowing nothing about your health and fitness journey so far, I just want to say 20lbs in 100 days might be an aggressive goal. We have many varying opinions in this challenge about goals ranging from:- don't set them & see how it goes
- set them low & crush it
- set them 'just right' & meet it
- set them high knowing you'll probably miss it but you'll do better than if you had set it low
- focus on the factors you can control — diet and exercise/movement, etc and make those your goals
Everyone has to do what works for them. Honestly, I've tried them all (lol). What seems to be working for me is a) joining these challenges, b) focusing on the factors I control and c)
@plantpowered Congratulations on getting your 10 day trend back under 150! (0.01 counts as under!) You've got this.
@Crochetluvr Nice overnight drop! Always feels great.
Re the tree stand — I better for look for ours. I'm sure it is in the garage, which is kind of like saying it is in a black hole. Hopefully, my husband knows where it is.@dawnbgethealthy Good luck with the work schedule. I hope 2026 brings you more days off.
5 -
When we first started this, I had my goal at 136lbs (7 day average), which was 4lbs less than the mid-point of the 138-142 hovering range I'd been in for 3 months. As the challenge started, I modified the tracking sheet to start with the Nov 14th week ending weight, which was on the higher end of my hovering range. To keep me motivated and to avoid having to deal with negatives in the 'distance to goal', I've been lowering my goal as the mini-challenge has progressed. What I'm really focused on is getting my 7 day trend to 136 by Dec 31st. If I can achieve that, then I feel like 2026 will be starting on the best footing possible for me. Right now I'm at 137.3, so 1.3lbs to December 31. I've previously had goals that seemed doable and then missed them by a mile, so no predicting the future here…. just as much consistency as possible.

To everyone: Of course, anyone else want to join this mini-challenge within a challenge, you are more than welcome! It will cross over into Challenge #25. Just a little year-end push to start 2026 on a good footing.
@frankwbrown Great on the mini-challenge. I've put together a little tracking chart. Please confirm I picked up the correct starting weight and goal weight for you. To keep things easy, I've stuck with the 100 day challenge week end dates.

@Piedpiper2 Welcome to the challenge. It's wonderful to have you here!
@age_is_just_a_number You've really been crushing it this past week. The movement on your trend weight is impressive!
@dawnbgethealthy I don't think you did any real damage the last time you had your ribs either. Perhaps you've figured out what time to eat them etc. and maybe you can even have them more often than 3 or 4 times per year. I really don't think one day or one meal makes that much permanent difference in the grand scheme of things. Especially with all the work you do, your multiple jobs, and your commitment to your Fitness Marshall routines. You've lost so much weight since joining MFP. It's truly impressive on every level!

Day 02—12/02—179.6 ❌ (Trend Weight: 179.8)
Day 03—12/03—179.8 ❌ - (Trend Weight: 179.8) I’m finally matching my trend weight.
🎅🎅🎅🎅 Day 04—12/04—179.4 ✅ (Trend Weight: 179.8) I’m happy to see this drop. Ended up out to dinner yesterday with DGS, DS and Foodie DD after the hair salon with DGS. They decided on going to the local Pub so the food was your typical Pub food (for me it was chicken strips and fries). I kept it simple and since the bar does not offer desserts or lots of extras, it was a pretty straight-forward meal. I stayed away from all the deep-fried appetizers. They had their sodas, I stuck to water with a lemon slice. I kept the rest of the day good in order to keep it under my calorie allotment. I finally got back on the stationary bike for some exercise last night. Feeling back in control again today. A drop on the scale is always encouraging. DD and DGS arrived at 3:30 for the usual weekend schedule. I must stay strong around all her fancy chocolates of late.

age_is_just_a_number We go back and forth every few years or so between real and artificial Christmas trees. We’re now in our artificial tree phase.
@Piedpiper2 Welcome to the group!
Crochetluvr I love that idea… making my 3’ tree into a doggy tree in years to come!
Day 04—12/04—146.0 (Trend weight 146.6). Have been eating less, a silver lining to having a sore throat, I guess. At least I’m feeling a bit better as we’re scheduled for family photos up on the mountain at sunset today, a gift from my daughter. I don’t love being in front of the camera, I always feel like I take terrible pictures and don’t want to ruin the shot (LOL), but I know I’d regret not having pictures with my family so I will do it.

I quite like this YouTube video Tedx talk done by photographer Teri Hofford (yup, another Teri!). Don't let the title of the video fool you. It has nothing to do with how to look better in pictures. It is all about our mindset and why we think we look bad in pictures. During the video, she does a little test with the audience in which everyone takes two selfies: 1 from above and 1 from below.

I've been playing around with Google Sheet charting and conditional formatting (I probably shouldn't say "playing", because it's been very frustrating). In any case, I've created a new weight loss chart and daily diff table for this challenge.
My goal on the mini-challenge that @age_is_just_a_number and I are doing is to lose 4 pounds by December 31st (starting on November 14th). It turns out that a ~0.1 lb/day loss gets me there, so I'm going with a 0.1 lb daily loss on all five of the following goals.
If I'm successful, I'll continue that same line until July 10th, 2026 (end of my year six) , which is the end of year six of my fitness journey. Doing so means I won't hit 230 by that date, but I'll get close. Then I'll continue from there.
My revised goals:
- goal 1 (12/31/25) weigh
255.8255 :: lose 4.8 pounds in 47 days (since 11/14) - goal 2 (1/10/26) weigh
255.2254 :: lose 5.8 pounds in 57 days (since 11/14) - goal 3 (3/1026) weigh 248 :: lose 11.8 pounds in 116 days (since 11/14)
- goal 4 (7/10/26) weigh
230236 :: lose 23.8 pounds in 238 days (since 11/14) - goal 5 (12/31/26) weigh 220 :: lose 39.8 pounds in 412 days (since 11/14)
(my lowest weight was 221.5 on 2/27/22, then I started gaining again)
Losing ~0.7 lbs/week over the next year seems doable, but I'm not foolish enough to think it will be easy. When I started 5½ years ago, I was able to lose 2+ lbs/week for the better part of a year. But I was much heavier then, and we all know the closer you are to your goal weight, the harder it gets.
