I would rather 1800 calories of yummy food and get my vitamins and nutrients
Ie: Breakfast - Porridge with peanut butter/fruit and greek yoghurt
Lunch - Hearty veg soup/Ryvita's with cottage cheese & tom/Wholegrain sandwich/salad/wrap/sushi etc
Dinner - Fish & Veg/ Meat/Veg/ Omelette etc
Why just drink milk ??? How boring..........I couldn't do that!0 -
Love this!!! HA HA!
That would be me0 -
It's definitely possible, but that amount of lactose could really make you bloated. Also you'll be depriving yourself of certain micronutrients.
A lot of body builders/power lifters/the like drink a lot of milk to hit their macros.0 -
Whats wrong with drinking 16.4 cups of 1% milk everyday and eating/drinking nothing else.
You get 1800 calories, 213 carbs, 49 fats, and 147 protein grams. Very reasonable.
Tell me why this cannot work.
Because milk doesn't contain all the nutrients you need. There is more to food than macros, people.0 -
I think Rippetoe recommends a gallon of milk a day for those bulking or whatnot, but I think that is in addition to a normal diet.
As far as micros...I wonder if a greens drink would cover that?0 -
What about breast milk?0
-
What if you're lactose intolerant?0

Ok add a couple eggs and a multivitamin and it's rock solid. I love milk so I was just wondering how much I can drink a day and my answer was just get on a milk diet.0
-
Mainly, lack of micronutrition, but I suppose you could get away with it for a few days.0

What about breast milk?
I could get on board with this. Willing to give it the ol' college try!0 -

Eggs. Yum. I almost went for FOUR whole eggs for breakfast this morning, just for the sake of keeping the numbers right in the container.0 -
I say go for it, this is what my diet looks like.

Well played, my dear, well played.
And I accept.0 -
Not a 100% calcium diet, but I did watch a BBC documentary on "how to get thin" that did an experiment on a man. He was supposed to consume a high calcium diet, and the scientists then tested his "feces" which he put in bags and containers. He lost double the amount of fat than did someone who consumed only a low calorie diet with little to no calcium. So, it would seem that drinking more calcium if done within a calorie deficit can help one lose more fat. I thought it was interesting although I think they should have done the experiment with more people to get a fairer analysis. Anyways, I love skim milk and yogurt so I was happy to hear the fat loss benefits of them.0
