Great moving everyone! :drinker: It's fun to watch everyone get closer to their goal no matter how big or small. :drinker:
@Darkrider Enjoy your family, we will be fine over here Yeah it's always awkward when you realize you need to look up (literally) to your kids. Both of my daughters ultimately passed me in height. It's a point of pride for my youngest....at 5'3 she doesn't get too many chances to say she's taller than someone.
@Kar328 Ooo I'm jealous! Isn't it great when you discover new things you thought you couldn't do? I'm glad you've had such a great time at the spa. :flowerforyou:
@maasmom2 Welcome Karen!:flowerforyou: It's never too late to start moving. You are doing great so far this month and I'm sure you will make your 200 miles goal.
@ stephysd Well......you probably won't really melt but I do retreat to the treadmill on really icky days myself. Some days, if I get cold I just can't warm back up Just figure out for yourself how to keep moving.:flowerforyou:
And for our road warriors out there walking, running or riding in the rain, sleet and /or snow: I hope as I get healthier that I can join you. :drinker: I used to enjoy the crisp days of fall and winter and I'm hoping that this year I will be back out there more days than not.
Have a Great Friday Everyone and Keep Moving! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:0 -

:drinker: Way to move it! That's exactly what I thought when I rode 50 miles in the cold rain a couple of weeks ago. (I leaned more toward dumb @ss in my case...)
I rode 14.65 mi last night and once around the block (.45) with the dog.

Went running/walking/hiking on a mountain 15 minutes from home this morning with my daughter.
Here are the details, according to MapMyRun.com
4.68 mi Run in Canada. The Run has a total ascent of 1,502.62 ft and has a maximum elevation of 2,765.75 ft.
Climb rate: 1 - very difficult start @ 0 and climbs up for 2.32 miles. Gain of 1,503 feet. Avg grade: 12.3%
Took 50 minutes going up (walk/run)
20 minutes running down.
It was raining, chilly & foggy. I was surprise it wasn't actually snowing at the top. Didn`t took any pics at the top; we couldn't see 100 feet ahead of us.
But here a few that we took on our way up.

@LEANZ - Love the quote on your page by John Bingham! I really enjoy reading all of his writing for Runner's World...particularly his "Penguin Chronicles". I don't know if he still does that or not....I did start my subscription back up a few months ago, but I've been so busy I haven't read them yet... :blushing: but that was always my very favorite article. And it was fittingly (and somewhat ironically) placed in the back of the pack/magazine.
@TAXMOM9093 - *GASPS!* You didn't check in last night??? :noway: I'd never* do that!! Oh yeah. I didn't either. (See below.) And loved your other big post too! :flowerforyou: I love the interaction between people. And lol at your daughter getting to be taller than someone. I'm sure you weren't too terribly surprised when she passed you though. I kinda was cuz I'm 6'-3"... :noway:
@ANACONDA469 & BUNNYBUTLER29 - Still ABSOLUTELY CRUSHING past your goals!! :drinker:
@MOMOF2BOYZ832 - 7 miles is impressive to me...even more so for you having done it in the rain!! GRRRR!! *votes HARD@ss*
@QTGONEWILD - You didn't get lost or left behind, hon! But everyone needs to sign up & recommit each month. But no worries...you're back on the board!!

There I go again, @TAXMOM....I forgot to post my update. And it was kinduva a milestone for me too...as recently as early last week, I was still only running 3 minute intervals spaced with a 1 minute walk....but over the week, I was getting lighter and feeling stronger and one day I didn't use the interval timer in Endomondo and just ran to see how far I could without walking and surprised myself how long it was....well fast forward to last night....I completed my entire 5K without walking. And only like 40 seconds slower than my fastest 5K run/walk. It has been quite a while since I have done that. I think I may have done it early this year in the Spring....but then again it might have been last year. I dunno. I lose track of time. A lot has happened in my life this year and I can't keep things straight very well. I won't kid, it was hard....and I really had to dig deep those last 15 minutes of it...but my determination won out over my intense desire to stop and walk. Now I may not do that every* time now right away because ...I can't lie...it took quite* a bit out of me, but it does show me that I'm making progress and tells me to...Just. Keep. Going... that it's working.

no more "recordable" miles this week....i had bootcamp at lunchtime and we are off to disney for the weekend at 330....soooo there will be lots of walking but i'm not going to run my runkeeper app while we are at the park - i got my workouts in this week and i'm on track for my miles this month so FOR ONCE, i'm just going to go and walk and do the parks and JUST NOT WORRY about HOW FAR LOL......hope you all have a fantastic weekend....i'll check back in on monday....

Wow - I just looked at the spreedsheet. It always amazes me to see everyone's numbers and all the stats --- these are some awesome numbers. I was shocked to see I was in the top 30 - barely but there. Its coming up on winter so my bike riding is dropping off but I've started up a training program for Couch to 5K - on my 3rd week. I just did my first session of run 90 sec/walk 90 sec, run 3 min/walk 3 min, repeat once more. This is the first week where I'm like "I may need to repeat this week. This isn't easy now." I will also be training for my first century ride so at some point my miles are going to pick back up this winter. Cheers everyone!0 -

A little over six miles ran on Wednesday, yesterday took a rest day because I was pretty wiped out, and another slow six miles run today. We seem to have lost our cool fall weather this week. I hope it comes back next week.
