I came here to collect the dead horse that's being beaten?

I've said it before and I'll say it again- I've more respect for a girl in full make up working hard than a barefaced girl gagging about. If you are that preoccupied with judging how they look in the gym, you are 100x more shallow than they are.

Hey....if they are ugly without makeup...I see no problem with this. Beautiful distractions at the gym are fine....ugly distractions will only make me shorten my workout routine.

What other people do doesn't have much effect on me.

I don't mean after work, or on your lunch break.... I work out at about 9-10 am

Not every woman works a regular shift. Hospitals are 24 hours and we work all types of crazy hours.

This is only my opinion, not to be confused with any factual research (for clarity)...

Women are nasty creatures. Competitive by nature for "mates" but mostly status!

The women you are referring to most likely feel if they doll themselves up for the gym they look better than their peers who sweat it off and work hard ... Thus giving them higher status in their eyes.

And just for the record I'm not a real make-up kinda girl ... Special occasions and such. But the only time I'd ever wear make-up to the gym is if I just came from work and had no time to remove it.

This touches on one of my pet peeves .. Why bother going to the gym if you don't wanna HIT IT and sweat? ... Plus, the feeling of walking outta that place after you put in a hard effort is like you won first place in a marathon. I tend to hold my head high even as an obese lady!! SO worth it :)

To be honest, the only one here who sounds like a 'nasty creature' is you.

there's a girl at my gym that goes in full dress (as we like to call it)

she's got the foundation, the mascara, the lipstick with gloss over top, the blusher, the smokey eye thing going....and eye liner...lots and lots of eyeliner....then the HUGE fran drescher style hair. just HUGE hair, that she constantly has to manage...

she spends the whole time in the weight room, picking up weights, hefting them, then putting them back in their saddle, never doing a rep....

she does however run up and down the stairs a bit, so she's working out, but she ensures she NEVER breaks a sweat.

she does do her squats with the 20 pound bar on her shoulder, paying special attention to her *kitten* in the mirror while she does....

then she goes over to the one door that leads to the basketball court and stands there for 10 minutes watching her honey play and texting someone,

then goes back to do her routine again, carefully making sure she doesn't break a sweat.

It's kinda cute.....especially the 3-4 guys that work their workout routine so that they are on the machines closest to her when she's finally doing her set....

    like i said, cute....

    but not for me.

Does she know she has a stalker?

    That's intense, lol, please elaborate...

Because people have lives and may not always be going to the gym straight from bed or from being home all day.

That point has been made, which I acknowledged. Thanks.

It's just asking to be treated all... rapishly.

Edit: is it rapeishly? I've gotta get down with the new lingo.

Because none of your business and doesn't affect you, that is why.

ETA: Ok, that was a bit snarky. But whether a woman is coming from work with makeup on or putting it on before going makes no difference. If she wanta to feel pretty and sexy, then that is her choice. Just because you wouldn't do it doesn't mean that applies to others.

I'd LIKE to think that the men and women around me can control their sexual urges, whatever I'm wearing, but whatever...
  • I don't wear make up personally, but if they are wearing make-up at the gym and it's not during or after work, then in my eyes they are fake. They can't handle looking at themselves without make-up on and must look good all the time.

Does this mean you treat a man/woman rapeishly because they are wearing makeup??

I rarely wear makeup and I certainly wouldn't wear it to workout. I sweat and my face gets red anyway. It doesn't bother me for those that choose to wear it though. Bathing in perfume/cologne though, ick.

She does. I wore guyliner around her once and she kept grabbing my *kitten*. I had to move. :(

At five am I jump out of bed, brush my teeth, then head to the gym. After an hour of that I head home, get ready, go to work, work then go back to the gym. So the only time I have make up is the second time around haha. Sometimes.. I don't even wear any to work either.. But then I get the, "are you feeling ok" comment ....

He's not kidding. I totally can't control myself around the eyeliner. Add mascara and GAME OVER!

On the rare occasion I go to the gym, I am wearing makeup.

Maybe they just like make up.

I think it's a bit arrogant to believe you have some personal insight into a woman's psyche just because of what she has on her face.

People judge. Question. Have opinions. It's called being alive... Having a damn mind.

maybe they run errands before the gym? Who cares? Focus on your workout and no one else.
