M, W, F-30 minutes of strength training which includes machines, free weights, and full body exercises using weight and the big exercise ball. I also run 3 Miles on M &W (M just run, W for speed) & run 4 miles on F. Each run is between 33 and 45 minutes depending on distance. On T, TH, S, S-I do the elliptical for 30-40 min & the stationary bike for about 20 min. If I'm out of town on the weekend, I will walk about an hour instead.

I've lost 27 pounds since May and have 7 to go.

Doesn't sound amazing to me. Calorie deficit is the key to weight loss, not exercise. Exercise just gives you an excuse to eat more calories, and tones your muscles and whatnot. Calories in vs. calories out is the magic bullet.

There are no excuses involved. Besides toning and muscle conditioning, exercise improves your overall health and usually makes a person feel better, though it is true that you do not need it to lose weight.
