I knew a guy who had "Your Name" tattooed on his butt so he could win bar bets saying, "I have your name tattooed on my butt." I also knew a lady with Dino the Dinosaur pushing a lawn mower next to her pubic hair. I also know a girl who has characters from Edward Scissorhands tattooed on her full thighs.

Worst one I can think of is a girl I knew in high school, who a few years later (mid 90s) got the logo of the then-popular band 311 tattooed really large on the back of her neck. Even at the time I thought that was nuts. But she still shows it off regularly and is obsessed with that band. It is like her only defining characteristic. I saw her in a public place recently and she was talking about 311 and then out of curiosity glanced at her facebook page, it's all about 311.

I have seen some pretty sick tattoos in my time. A lot of people have gotten their wedding rings tattooed on, something I'm considering myself. I've seen an anatomically correct heart over a pulsing vein. I've seen baby's footprints. They all said that they would never get a significant others' name or likeness or anything of the sort because relationships like that are fragile.

My sister wins for "bad" in terms of stupid. The "name of god" on the inside of her mouth, to fool my mother, and a symbolic branding by her first husband long after the marriage had gone sour. Not artistically bad work on either, but she was an idiot for getting them.
