    Hello Ladies,

I feel a little like I'm trying to jump on a moving train. By the time it takes me to get caught up on reading the posts I run out of time to comment so I think I will do it a little later, Then I'm right back to being behind 2 or 3 pages.

So, for now, I will just send a quick 'hello' to all of the new ladies, congratulations to those that are having successes and prayers for those that are struggling, caring for friends and families, and grieving.

The past week I've been trying to care for a group of 4 cats that were left behind when the owner decided to move to South Carolina and leave them behind sitting on her porch. With the snow and freezing temperatures, my DH and I have tried to provide plenty of food and blankets as they live under her shed in the yard. I finally found someone willing to take them so the process of trying to trap them and have them spayed/neutered begins tomorrow. They were always outside cats so not really used to being handled and I'm afraid once one gets into a trap the others may scatter. The house is up for sale so time is of the essence.

One NSV I have is I am now able to hold my plank for 1 minute. When I started I couldn't do it for 15 seconds. Gradually increased in 15 second increments. Don't know how some of you are able to do it for 3 + minutes!! :noway:

I will write more later and hopefully be able to 'speak' to you individually but for now it's time to leave the office, hit the road and head for home.

TGIF!!! Well at least it has slowed down here some today. Taking it easy here at work. Have a big project due Monday for school so will be working on that this weekend. My DS contacted me and is scared because he had to go to court for child support changes and he had to admit he did not have car insurance. So, being the Mom I am, I arranged for the minimum liability insurance for his car and made the down payment for him. The monthly bills will go to him, so I hope he finds a way to budget for it and this doesn't turn into a problem for me! I can't afford another 200 monthly bill!

I have been going to Curves as some of you might remember. Since last Thursday, they have added Jillian Micheals workouts for in between the circuit machines. Boy am I sore, but what a good workout! I am sweating like a pig by the time I finish. Feels good though.

Well, I am at work and must pretend to be working so better sign off for now.

    Rita from freezing cold CT.

    My SMART goals for January:
I will lose 5 pounds by January 31 through consistently going to Curves at least 4 times a week and increasing my daily steps to average 8,000 steps a week. My ultimate goal is to weigh 145 or less pounds and be healthy by this time next year.

Amendment to goal: if I cannot make it to the gym 4 times in a week, I will exercise to my walking video for at least 30 minutes.

SMART goal - Specific, Measurable, Actionable/achievable, Realistic, and Timed.

Week 1 steps average: 6315, Curves 3 times (closed do to snow and holiday). Did my video once to make up for it.
Week 2 steps average: 7800, Curves 5 times! Too much salt, candy, and junk food this week!
Week 3 steps average: 5793, Curves 5 Times! Not walking enough, not watching my diet enough. Not going to make the 5 pound loss either.

Hello to all: Just a quick post to find my place. No internet yesterday so couldn't do anything, read or post. Besides I spent most of yesterday in hemotologist's office. Ended up doing a bone marrow biopsy. Doctor called this morning, no cancer but sarcoidosis has moved into the bone marrow and there is some scarring. No idea how this affects things but his report will go to the pulmonologist who is presently managing the sardoidosis. Crazy, crazy! Everyone take care, Sue in SD

YannieJannie, I found out that my friend's daughter goes to St George's university School of Veternary Medicine in Granada. I bet it's nice and warm down there. Wouldn't that be nice.

    evening ladies~
Joyce- I dont know what Sean's plans are. right now there is no booze in the house, and he says he doesnt feel like drinking.he and a good friend of his I think might be going to do AA together. My mom was sober almost 19 yrs before she passed away, Jean also is quitting, she would drink on the nights and weekends she didnt work, but she wants to do what is best for Sean and herself so both with no alcohol. will have to see what they say about the E-Cig's, maybe that would be the way to go?
I am sure they will give Sean a outpatient refferal and instructions for the pancreatitis.
He remember's coming to the hospital with horrible horrible pain, so I hope that he remembers that pain if he decides to pick up a drink, because it could kill him.
very tired and I have to work in the morning so off I go

Hi everyone. I am new to all this. I'm here in New Zealand, although I am Australian. I started my journey on 13th January. I lost 20kg through going to CURVES until August last year when I had to make the decision to have my teeth removed and have dentures. I am currently struggling with my new bottom dentures (I previously had top denture and my own teeth on bottom). Just starting to learn to eat but for life of me cannot stop them from flopping around...the polident adhesive I am using stops working as soon as I start eating!! :blushing: I miss having all the crunchy healthy foods I was having. I eat breakfast and dinner without my bottom denture in and have a smoothie for lunch when I am wearing it. I want to go out for dinner with friends but am too worried my dentures will fly across the table.:blushing: I had put on 10kg from eating pasta, icecream, and other high fat soft foods....lollies were my downfall in the end. Haven't had a lolly for over a week now and haven't eaten chocolate for nearly 2 years! Does anyone have any suggestions regarding my dentures. Thank you in advance!!

Just a quick check in. I get sent home from work because I was sick :ohwell: I had a nap and will be early to bed. Went over my calories today from drinking so much orange juice but only by 48 so I'm not worried about it.

No workout yesterday or today but I am hoping to make it to aquafit tomorrow morning. I guess I'll see how I feel in the morning.

:flowerforyou: I made a decision to limit sodium a few years ago. I set my food diary for 1600 mg of sodium and when I go over that amount, I notice the water retention and my weight goes up for a few days. Besides not adding salt to anything I cook, I stay away almost all the time from processed foods, cheese, and bread, and avoid eating in restaurants as much as possible. I season with Mrs. Dash at home.

:flowerforyou: Katla, we had three RVs over five years……a 34 foot trailer with no slide-outs, a 32 foot 5th wheel with two slide-outs, and a 30 foot motor home with one slide-out. We traveled with one or two dogs and one or two cats so we needed space. We loved every minute of our RV life. We took many weekend trips and some longer trips including one for 99 days.

   Today was the day that I got to teach the whole line dance class and it was so much fun that I was sad when it was over. I taught a new dance and the rest of the dances were ones that we’ve done recently. There were several new students so I slowed down the teaching to accommodate them.

 When I got home from dance I found that Jake had spent the whole morning grooming Brandy. I took her for a walk while he started grooming Sasha. The weather was so nice and the driveway was full of sunshine so I hooked up the hose and washed the car.

I’m reading “Thinner This Year” right now (I know that many of you read it last year, but I’m slow), and finding it very interesting as it explains the actual workings of the body and why we need to eat and exercise in a certain way. Knowing why I should do something makes me a bit more likely to actually consider doing it! Anyway, last night I was reading about doing small intervals, so I tried a variation on the treadmill this morning. I did a 6% incline for 2 minutes, then a 2% incline for 3 minutes and alternated them for half an hour. The treadmill said that I burned about 40 calories more than usual, so I may try this again and increase the intensity once I’m used to it.

I ordered a new pair of tennis shoes today, so I hope they get here quickly. My heel has been bleeding when I walk for two days in a row, so I finally looked at my shoe and found that the padding had worn off of a large piece of metal that goes up the inside of the heel. Who knew? I’m getting Adidas running shoes this time around, in bright pink and yellow. My daughter assured me that exercise shoes should be obnoxiously bright to put you in the right frame of mind.

Connie – Your husband sounds like a sweet man, to come and find your earring for you!

Katia – I think you could just ignore my DH (that’s what I’m doing right now, as he made me mad today). Actually, he has a lot of good points most of the time and is a pretty decent guy overall. He really should have gotten me the Porsche, though! I’ve never tried RVing, but have also thought of renting one to check it out. Let us know how you like it.

Amanda – So sorry that you’re feeling down today, and sending fervent wishes for a better tomorrow!

Joyce – That was a very interesting story about the RV – thanks for sharing it!

DeeDee – Sorry about the cold. Do you think that shivering uses up extra calories??

Heather – I hope that you enjoy hubby’s new car!

Tina – A one minute plank is great!

Barbie – Which RV did you like the best? Was one easier to drive than another?

Joyce - how nice of you to manage to get those physicals for the boys for free!

Amanda - sorry you're down and out today. Well, you'll feel better tomorrow, I'm sure

Tina - hope you're better fast. I was just on weather.com's website and it's in the 50's at the condo...brrrrr...

Alison - how nice of you to take the soup to the hospital. I remember quite a few years ago when Vince was in the hospital, I brought him a pizza. Hospital food can get so boring

Liz from Halifax - hope you feel better soon

Well, the vet called yesterday. Yup, we're looking at hyperthroidism. We usually go to FL in Feb for the Daytona 500, so what we'll do is give her the thyroid pills until then and while we're down there, then when we get back see where we are and if we should do the radioactive isotope procedure.

Did about 50 minutes of a Richard Simmons "Sweatin to the Oldies" DVD today. It was OK, it'll be good for a change. I honestly don't think I'll get any more of his DVD's. One of the things I did like about it was that he'd show the low impact moves (like the low impact jumping jacks) and there was another gal who did the higher impact ones. I also liked that the people in the DVD weren't all these rail-stick-thin people but normal sized.

Tomorrow I'm planing to do an Element yoga DVD

This morning is going to be a bit busy, I'll give Loki his med, then see if I need to stop at Lowe's Foods, then pick up the med for Lexi, go play mahjongg, get my bangs trimmed, get Vince his donuts at Dunkin Donuts, go to Aldi, then go to the post office and bank. Then home (thank goodness)

Heather - congrats on the new car. May you have many lovely miles in it!

    kenazwa - welcome!

katla - I just checked the only dry cat food they get, and potash isn't listed. Could it go by another name? (Maybe Ash?). If it's ash, that's 6.7% Is that high? I think I'm die laughing if I ever saw a jogger with a cigarette in his mouth

The guy from Charter was here, we now only have the Charter phone. I wondered why in the world we needed the AT&T phone in addition to the Charter one. We got the Charter one because by getting it we got a real good deal (higher speed internet, more cable channels). I'm happy about this

Carol in NC - congrats on the loss!

Joyce - 20 lashes for not going to the Y :)

Jan - it's bitterly cold here, too (well, for the South). Thanks for the info about the meditation site. Are you SURE your dh and mine aren't related? His reasoning for having fatty foods? "I want to give my cholesterol medication something to do". I've given up, too. When I cook, I do cook low fat. But when we go out, he usually orders french fries or something like that, I just figure it'll just even out in the end.

Tina - what a wonderful thing you are doing for those cats. Twenty lashes to that owner who abandoned them!

boohoohoo - the one store that carried the hot chocolate that I liked discontinued it. It was the Nestle No Sugar Added brand. All of the other brands that have no sugar added have the ascesulfame potassium (or however it's spelled) in it. This was the only brand that only contained Splenda. I didn't mind that it cost a bit more. That a.p. stuff is NASTY stuff, it was given very poor marks by CSPI. Now I don't know what I'm going to do. Each packet contained something like only 50 calories. Maybe I'll look at Taste of Home's website or allrecipes to see if they have anything that I can maybe make up and use. Update: I'm getting a bit frustrated here. Does anyone know of a site that is dedicated JUST to low cal/healthy cooking? Update: I'm going to look into the unsweetened chocolate almond milk

Rita - which JM workouts is Curves adding?

Sue - my best to you

ozgirl - first off, welcome. Wasn't there someone on here at one time who had trouble with her mouth or something and for that reason always had baby food? I seem to remember that she was embarassed to have her diary open because it contained babyfood. Ozgirl, baby food is soft, but you can still get your nutrients. Admitted, it is a bit on the expensive side. But perhaps that's one way you can go. How about taking a vege and/or meat and pureeing it? Even puree fruit and freeze that.

Sandy - feel better fast. Hope you do make it to aquafit tomorrow

    Hello Friends,
Quick check in. I’m home for three days between business trips, so not sure I’ll be able to get the ‘sodium souvenir’ eliminated before leaving for Grand Rapids. At least I’m over my cold and was able to keep my appointment with trainer. I was supposed to have my annual physical today, but my MD had to reschedule. Just as well, as I felt so tired today I actually took a nap. Rare treat.

I send warm thoughts to everyone experiencing deep cold climes. Mars and I wish all the sick kitties quick recoveries and years of good health. You lovely ladies take care of yourselves and stay well.

Goals for January with Progress to Date:
:drinker: Reduce carb consumption to 30 grams 2x per week > Not accomplished. I can’t seem to get lower than 35 carbs—so that’s progress.
 Five face exercises every day > Accomplished.
 Schedule three weeks of vacation > Have scheduled two weeks, beginning with a trip to Calif in May.
 When in doubt, chose vegetables (from The Happiness Project) > Accomplished. It’s my inner chant whenever I'm looking at restaurant menus, which was a lot this week.

I called my neurologist office this afternoon to see if they had ever received the referral for Charlie. No, didn't see it. So I asked her to see if it is in the 'to do file'. I learned that term form the one I talked to yesterday. Yes, it was there!!!!! This was early in the afternoon so I figured I could make an appointment. No, it will be 'processed' Monday. So I asked if I should expect a call from then on Monday to set up an appointment. No, they make the appointment themselves, fax it to the ordering doctor and it is up to that doctor to notify us. GRRR I didn't know the office was so aggravating. I have been with them since 1997 and they have always seemed so nice and accomodating.

I wrote a pretty bad comment about the woman that I tried to impress by making the free physicals for my FIL Boy Scout troop. Something happened, pushed a wrong button here on the computer or God decided he didn't like me to write things like that on the internet about some one. Anyway, it disappeared. Guess it was for a reason.

I had some hot tea tonight. I don't know when the last time I had anything liquid except for water. But it was so cold out and when we went to Dennys I had hot tea to warm up. I don't like coffee at all. It was good and it did warm me up. I guess it won't kill me. Time to get my cat's medicine in her and go turn on my computer and start slowing my brain and body down for sleep.

Ozgirl: Good luck getting used to your dentures. Has someone checked them for proper fit? I suspect it will take time before you’re comfortable.:flowerforyou:

Barbie: DH is pushing for an RV and I’m dragging my feet. We have an RV; it floats and sails. I don’t want to take care of another and I’m not ready to give up the boat. I am trying to be fair and keep an open mind, but… We had a travel trailer in the past. It was lovely except the bed was too small. The worst part was putting it in its storage at the end of the weekend, which was very stressful for me. The reason we sold it was our kids. We had a boat and the travel trailer, which made one too many private places for teens at a largely unsupervised marina. :noway: We don’t have teens anymore, but caring for both things seems overwhelming. I’m trying to keep an open mind. We did go to see some RV’s at a lot. They were not bad, and had an amazing amount of features in a small space, but they weren’t appealing, either. I didn’t even want to take one for a weekend trip, too expensive for not enough comfort or space. It would be about $1K for a weekend. :grumble: That is at least $700 too much, if not more.

Michele: It could be ash in the cat food. Our cat did fine when we switched to a different brand. I no longer remember what levels are considered high. We haven't had a cat in many years.:flowerforyou:

janehadji: You deserve a Porsche, if that is what your heart desires and you can afford one.

I went for a walk today and later rode my bike for half an hour. That is more than I’ve done in a week. I hope I am finally getting better. I had a chat on the phone with DD and DGD, and really enjoyed it. DGD is talking more and more. Fun times. I can hardly wait to see her in person. We will go for her birthday in a couple of months.:heart:

    January goals:

    1. Log every bite and swallow.
    2. Focus on fitness: daily cardio plus strength training a minimum of twice a week.
    3. Water: According to an article a friend posted on facebook, drinking water at certain times maximizes its effectiveness on the body. So I’ll try to follow these recommendations:

    * 2 glasses of water after waking up - helps activate internal organs
    * 1 glass of water 30 minutes before a meal - helps digestion
    * 1 glass of water before taking a bath - helps lower blood pressure
    * 1 glass of water before going to bed - avoids stroke or heart attack

    Hi all.
Yeah, sure, I'll lose weight if my hubby offered cash for pounds....1,000 dollars a pound. Darn right I'd be motivated!
But in the meantime, I'm lucky if I lose an ounce!
Been on Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. Its tough but it is affecting my measurements for the better. No weight loss, but... Lost inches in my waist.

Did anyone see the show on PBS Independent Lens about a young man who went to India and stayed working in an orphanage? It was AMAZING! That young man is a saint, the tears rolled down my cheeks as I watched. What a generous heart. I couldn't stop thinking about him. If ever you want to see a different perspective of life, maybe you can google it thru PBS Independent Lens.

Good morning my lovely vit f ladies

Thank you for your supportive comments yesterday. Today WILL be better (eventually).

I am a little scared to step on the scales at the moment. For the last year or so I've been maintaining, but I know that I've lost more weight over the last few weeks, which I really don't want to do. Officially I am now below my ideal weight and, to be quite frank, I'm a little too thin which is not a good thing at my age. Put my smallest size trousers on this morning and they are hanging off me - really attractive.

It is terribly difficult getting the correct balance. For so many years I ate far too much and got bigger and bigger. Now I am clearly not eating enough and yet never feel actual hunger (head hunger is a different matter - that is triggered by stress and leads to poor decisions!)

Anyway, I'll stop moaning, do some work and wish you all a very good weekend. If very good is not achievable, then at least try to make it as good as can be.

    Love to all.

Wow I miss a few days and we're flying down the thread! I'm glad I found you all again!

What I love about reading all your posts is the different weather conditions we are all in - when it is raining here I can read about sunnier climes and dream!

For the first time in ages we can see some blue sky here! The forecast isn't great but I'm going to walk the dogs this morning - with blue sky above me, instead of puddles below me!

    Happy weekend everyone!

    Good morning from foggy Hampshire!

Amanda- have you ever watched "Super Size v Super Skinny"? You may find that your low mood is related to not eating enough. Also it is apparent from the programme that initially you have to force yourself to eat in order to feel hungry. Good luck! Channel4od if you want to see last week's episode.

I have been feeling so relaxed recently with all my book reading that I forgot to check that I had enough whisky glasses for 6 people. One short. Oops! Might send DH out to buy some or might just wing it. The drivers won't be having much whisky anyway. We very rarely have six adults to eat so hadn't thought about it.. Everything else done except for cutting up the salmon roll. You have to do it semi frozen so it is neat circles.

Our new toaster has just arrived. I was sooooo fed up with our very old Dualit, because, although it looks fab, the slots are way too thin and only the slimmest, neatest slices would go in. As we buy unsliced artisan bread, or make our own, it was very frustrating trying to carve bits off. DH was very attached to it, but even he decided it wasn't really working for us. It must be at least 20 years old.

Knee holding up. I did a bit of HIIT very gingerly this morning. I'm also using the bands, though I think I will only use the heaviest two. I've got one with ankle straps in the kitchen to use on a chair when I'm cooking.

    Oh, sun's just come out!

Wish me luck for tonight. DON'T LET THE PERFECT BE THE ENEMY OF THE GOOD. Yes!

Good Morning from still cold Florida. I am finally feeling a little better this morning, thank you for all the well wishes.

Well DH got the job yesterday, he will start next week, night shift 10pm to 6am plus all the overtime he would like, some of the men are working 65-70 hrs a week, they are very short handed. He is looking forward to beginning this new phase in life, it will be a lot of adjustments on our part. It's always a little scary to make life changes, but I'm sure it will be for the better. Now just the process of shutting down his business, a lot to do.

DeeDee--Hope you feel better soon. I totally understand about the dry mouth, my DH says I am snoring so loud he thinks the neighbors can hear me.

Liz--Hope your dizzy spells get better soon. :flowerforyou:

Alison--Glad your brother is getting to go home. You are a remarkable woman in all that you do. I admire that. :flowerforyou:

Gnmom--I love Zumba and used to go all the time til I blew out my knee, I miss it, I have the DvD's just wish I could do them. :brokenheart:

Heather--Congrat's on the new Car. I hope you have a wonderful time this evening, I know you have been looking forward to it for a while, I read up on the celebration, it sounds wonderful, but I am not sure I could eat the Haggis. Enjoy! :flowerforyou:

    Kenazwa--Welcome! :flowerforyou:

Katla--The dosepak is really steroids (here comes the weight gain) you take 6 one day 5 the next then 4 and so on til your down to 1 the last day. DH will be closing his business, although he will put his real estate license inactive, if you keep the business open you still have to pay all the licensing fees, which are enormous, if he ever changed his mind he could just activate his license again, but I don't see that happening.

CarolNC--Glad your daughter is feeling better. Congrats on the 1lb lost. :flowerforyou:

Yanniejannie--Never tried meditation, sounds soothing.

Margaret--Congrats on the loss! 2lbs, YEAH!

Colograndma--Congrats on DH quitting smoking, wish my DH would, he did go from cigs to cigars not quite as bad, but still bad, he says that is his next goal to quit. :flowerforyou:

    TinaMD--Congrats on the Plank! :flowerforyou:

Renny: I’m sorry about your friend’s loss. Alzheimers is the most horrible disease I can think of because it steals the person’s mind and self. I’ve mentioned before that my grandma died from it. I hope you will enjoy the trip despite the sad reason for it.:flowerforyou:

Amanda: It sounds like you need to start counting calories and logging again, to be sure you’re taking in enough nutrition. It will be easier after your surgery because there will be less worry about gallbladder attacks, but you need to start the shift now. I think you can find a list of foods to avoid online. I had to follow it when I was waiting for surgery. If not, ask your doctor for a list. As I recall fatty foods and nuts were on the list to avoid, but the list was fairly long and I don’t remember the details. I had a gallbladder attack after eating brie cheese.:ohwell: :flowerforyou:

Tina in FL: I’m happy that your DH got the job and hope he’ll like it. If he’s working nights it seems likely your lives will both change quite a bit. I worked the graveyard shift at a cannery when I was in HS and saving for college and a graduation trip with my BFF. I gained a ton of weight because I ate three meals with my family and another two in the middle of the night. I wish you both good luck with the transition and your new lifestyle.

Heather: I wish you luck! It seems like you have been lucky lately, and the main reason is your own good attitude and hard work. Good for your DH finding whiskey glasses that match the others. He is a gold star husband, indeed. I hope you both have a gloriously fun time with your guests at your Robbie Burns party. Sending the two of you, and Robbie Burns, a virtual toast. I may have a whiskey in his honor later today. 6 am is a little early for that. :flowerforyou:

We will be having a little bit of social life today, too. Our sailing club is having its annual midwinter brunch today. I’m happy that I’ll be feeling well enough to enjoy it. And the brunch is just about 6 hours away, so I think we’ll be celebrating at about the same actual time as Heather has her party.

Michele and oz girl, I went into the Air Force after high school, and when living in the dorms we were not allowed to cook. So I used to get baby food in jars, put them in a sink of hot water, and I got hot food! My favorite was chicken and noodle. I also liked one called peach cobbler. So, I have fond memories of baby food.

My weight is going up for some reason. Yesterday I was up a pound and a half, today two tenths of a pound more. I know I have not eaten too much, so it has got to be water. Also, I recently started doing some weights and leg presses, and swimming again. I have heard that weight goes up a little when you start lifting weights, so maybe that's it. Anyway, I'm trying not to get crazy about it.

Today we are going back to the lake where I will be cleaning and reorganizing. After the plumbing fiasco, everything that was in the cabinets and closets is now sitting on the counters. And there is sawdust everywhere because he had to cut through the cabinet side to get access to the pipes. What a mess. I just hope the pipes have not refrozen. It was awfully cold last week.

Well, have a great day everyone!

Deedee water next to me. Drinking.:drinker:

Barbie I have a friend on a low sodium diet for medical reasons. If she gets too much salt she gets vertigo. She did learn the hard way you do need a minimum about of salt too. Your 1600mg sounds right. Her biggest obstacle is going out to eat because of the hidden salt. When I go out to eat with her she often orders the most basic thing she can like a salad with grilled chicken. I notice for myself if I am not careful what I order I have a one to two pound weight gain the next day after eating out. Keep us informed if you notice a difference.

Katla and Heather sounds like you have a fun day planned.

A quiet cold day here in Minnesota.

    Goals
Limit TV/ computer Some days better than others.
    communication/contentment

Life is too short for a bad cup of coffee.:drinker:

Katla,I think we have had most every kind of RV.Used them for camping when our 2DDs were home. When DH retired,we sold our home, kept some acreage & spent several yrs going to camping rallies but mostly just traveled to wherever we wanted to go.

Was in 48 states & Canada. We took day trips to Mexico, but didn't take the RV. Met so many ppl, made friends & enjoyed the life style.Every RV we bought was larger than the last one ,the last 5th wh was 36' with 3 slide outs.I preferred having a W&D,lots
Of counter space, along with a very comfy bed.We would switch trailer "furniture" out for the good kind.

A couple trips to dentists, then needing surgery caused us to stay put.As I told DH,I had seen the last strange Dr/Dentist I ever planned to see! Was one of the smartest decisions we ever made.

DH & friend (retired builder) built our next place.Spent several yrs there, then a yr ago,we sold out ,moved to the suburbs.....just 6 miles from oldest DD & her family. She & I just visited other DD in Fl.

Buying an RV can be very expensive, but my advice is to be sure it is what you both want. Take a lot of time to think it thru. There are always used ones to consider.

DH had a standard reply when ppl asked him "what does your wife think of living in an RV"?

He said " Do you think I could live in an Rv with a wife who didn't want to be there"? :noway:

Hello on this lovely Saturday. Only supposed to get into the 20s today but the sun is trying to shine and tomorrow should be in the 30s before we hit the deep freeze again. I am glad to be done with medical tests for a while. Some results still out but mostly things are okay. Not thrilled that the sarcoidosis has moved to the bone marrow but not a major disaster either. I do not currently have any symptoms so I will take that as a good sign and try to live life day by day as I should anyway. Need to look at my diet and try to incorporate more anti-inflammatory foods.

Barbie - I really admire your ability to line dance for long periods of time. I am beat after a half hour:laugh: It really challenges my balance as well as stamina. If using your brain keeps it healthy and keeps Alzheimer's at bay you have no worries because trying to memorize those dances really makes it work. Are you back to walking both dogs at one time?

Colleen - My first stereotactic biopsy was so awful that I refuse to repeat it. Have seen a breast care specialist and she says this does not look like breast cancer. It is microcalcifications in the duct. She says we can wait six months and then do another mammogram. She does not expect anything to change but we will just wait and see. I think a great deal of my problem with this is the attitude of the radiologists at the breast care center. I have had issues with them in the past and not just with the stereotactic biopsy.

Heather - Have fun at your party! I know you will. Enjoy the new car too but I think the Jag in spring will be more fun!

Everyone take care. Healing angels to all who need them and congratulations to all with victories. Sue in SD
