Still working on it. but happy so far. Last year when I got those scrub pants for Xmas I didn't need to tie them to keep them up.

First pic is of me in August 2014 @ 232lbs! Second is December 2015 @ 170lbs. Still not finished but I'm so much closer to my goal!

I don't have a whole lot to lose so I'm not in your shoes, but a gal like you is really inspiring. If you can lose pushing 60 lbs and keep such a positive attitude knowing you've still got a ways to go, then I need to shut up and quit whining! You look and sound fantastic.0 -
Recovering from an injury. Lost some muscle and fitness level, but still feeling pretty successful.

December of 2011 - 280ish
December of 2015 - 2144 -
I'm not done with my weight loss yet, but I finally have a before/after set worth posting. March 1st of this year I was 258 pounds. By October 31st I was 212. That's 46 pounds in 8 months. I have 12 more pounds to go!
The after picture is after I completed a Halloween half marathon. I'd never been a runner but started in May. I finished the race in under 2 hours.

How did you make yourself "love to run"? I can't do it. I still hate it.
I used to hate it too. I tried running twice before and each time vowed never to run for the sake of running again.
What changed is that I bought a Fitbit and spent two months power walking to get my steps. I'd walk, I'd hike, I'd even go to the dreaded mall, anything to get my steps in. One day my wife & I went with some friends to a Brewery 5K (start and finish at the brewery, end with a pint of beer). It was an untimed walk/run and I had intentions of walking it but my friend goaded me into running it with him and to my great surprise, I actually ran the whole thing. The two keys were 1) all that walking the two months prior had increased my fitness quite a bit, and 2) he made me run SLOW...almost to the point of walking which kept me from getting too tired. I think our time was 39 minutes,
Still in shock that I did it, I tried again on my own 2 days later. Then 2 days after that, and so on. I didn't love it at first, but I was so proud and amazed that I could, that I just kept at it and at some point I fell in love with it. I've increased my miles, increased my speed, and am now registered for a full marathon in May, just 5 days from 1 year anniversary of the start of my running habit. I'd like to work up to an ultra marathon for 2017, when I turn 50.
