I just finished The Bonesetter's Daughter by Amy Tan. I enjoyed it.

Yes I agree - it is very good.

I have read another book by her too but cant remember what it was called.

have read some other books mentioned in this thread: The Help, The kite runner, London and The Heretic's daughter - all books I enjoyed.

am currently reading Hanna's Daughters - a family saga about 3 generations of women in rural Sweden.

Just finished The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand last week, now halfway through Mansfield Park by Jane Austen.

Not sure what I'll read next; likely just finish up the other two Jane Austen books that I have left.

have read all but the most recent Amy Tan (started it, though). They are ALL excellent (that I've read all the way through) except Saving Fish from Drowning. DO NOT read that. It's awful. And she's one of my favorites, so if I didn't like it ...
