I saw a guy in my neighborhood running with his Great Dane, a few weeks ago. The guy was running at a decent clip, but the Dane was just walking beside him.

I scheduled stuff on all of my days off this week. I'm not doing a very good job a resting, y'all.

Me neither, I'm always busy on my days off doing what I can't do on my work days lol. I always run myself ragged.

Great Danes are just gorgeous and so goofy. My aunt and uncle had one they rescued. He was such a joy!

Holy. Hell. You can definitely tell school is out bc we've been crazy. Teenagers partying. Loitering. Fighting with their parents. It's literally the first week of summer break.

Round here it's the bloody 20 somethings, who are on vacation from Universities and think they can do whatever the heck they want because they aren't at home. Luckily(?) the lake is up so high there is no beach to party on and so much debris from the runoff and mudslides that boating is a risky proposition.

This was almost a week ago now and the lake is higher yet. More barriers and sandbags have been added to prevent damage to the City water intake building on the lakeshore.

ANNNND... it's spider season, my favorite time of the year to trot around the back of buildings through the gardens to check the windows and doors. NOT!!ll4a8k16khce.jpg

I still can't find a second vet. If anyone knows of a vet that wants to work emergency work overnight, I'll take 'em.

Oh no. It's a front row seat to the greatest show on earth.

Well, hopefully that doesn't involve a front row seat at the ER.

I think that's part of why I like living out in the middle of montana. Not much happening out here.

12,000 more sandbags brought in to our area. The beach in the photo has been closed because the water level is up higher and of course people are going thru the construction gates like idiots.

I can't believe the water is still coming up. I heard the temp is going to drop but it's coming with more rain. Hope the cold temps help more than the rain hurts.

The mountain area that feeds one of the larger rivers that drains into our lake is still at 115% actually good news because it was 150% last week. We are on severe thunderstorm watch for the evening but I don't see it happening.

Looks like I'm biking home in the rain. At least it will be cool. Slowed way down tonight. I'm doing records while watching Boondock Saints.

My last night on and then I get 4 nights off and a visit with family from Vancouver (Canada) and Virginia (US). Unfortunately no lake activities due to flooding :( ANNNND, there was another mudslide that closed down the Trans Canada Hwy early this morning just outside of town 50 km.

You only think you have four nights off. You'll get called back in for emergency staffing needs.

You are just evil, @sufferlandrian! Hehehe.
Actually the mudslide took out a bridge. People are stuck on either side unless they want to take a 6 hr detour (not including the now 13 hr wait for the ferry) for what is normally a lovely 1 hr drive.

I keep seeing dogs that get into compost piles. The stuff growing in there can be quite toxic. I wish people would fence that stuff off.

They probably think it's 'natural and green' how could it ever be toxic?? :#
