Day 44 of 90:
"Most people achieved their greatest success one step beyond what looked like their greatest failure." -Bryan Tracy0 -
I log my breakfast. Every morning. Even if I'm not going to be logging the rest of the day, which I usually don't anymore....getting that first thing in the morning mindset going of starting the day healthy and mindful of my choices helps me get through the rest of the day. Its become a habit...and I think its a good one.
Inspirational quote? You're not a failure until you give up. If life knocks you down, keep getting up. You're still in the game until you take yourself out of it.0 -
Tomorrow puts you at the halfway mark! How awesome are you?
Loved that paragraph about what a workout is, btw.0 -
I log breakfast lunch and snacks right after breakfast. Those meals don't change a whole lot and are pretty easy. Dinner I log right after or before I eat and I update water, snacks and exercise as I go. The app on the phone makes it easy as I wouldn't be able to log on from my work computer and after sitting in front of a computer all day I really don't want to use the home computer.0

45 days!!!!!!!
I know that something so simple like logging in every day may not seem like such a big deal, but for a person like me it is. When it comes to my body and fitness, I've always been one to make many resolutions but never follow through. "Oh well," I tell myself, "I'll just start again tomorrow..."
But tomorrow never comes.
I'm learning to live today. Today is the day to follow through. Today is the day to do what I say I'm gonna do. I'm tired of repeating day 1 over and over again. Today is not another day 1-- it's day 45, and I have logged my food and exercise and posted something just like I said I would, every single day.
It's true-- one day of logging really isn't a big deal and won't make a big difference in my overall health and fitness. But 45 days in a row does make a difference. Today I am very tired and sore from yesterday's workout. I had people over this morning and ate a large breakfast. But I feel good inside. I feel good because I am accountable and aware of every calorie. I feel good because I can look in the mirror with some satisfaction-- my body is a little more fit than it was a month and a half ago. My jeans fit better. I can see some muscle tone. And I grown to love logging on and following up with all the friends I've made on this site. Honestly, most days I get my enjoyment from seeing your progress rather than looking at mine. I mean, of course I love making progress, but it's not the most important thing anymore.
So, halfway there, here is some inspiration for day 45 of 90:
In This Moment
I won't let my dreams
No matter how marvelous they may be
Keep me from the treasures of this moment
And although I already miss the good of yesterday
I will take another step in hope that it will be
Worthy of remembrance tomorrow

Day 47 of 90:
"Knowing others is intelligence,
knowing yourself is true wisdom.
Mastering others is strength,
Mastering yourself is true power"
by Lao-Tzu0 -
Day 48 of 90:
Courage doesn't always roar--
Sometimes courage is the little voice
at the end of the day that says
"I'll try again tomorrow"

Thank you!!!
Wow day 50 of 90 I feel so good inside—fitness is becoming a priority and a reality in my life where it used to seem just a fanciful dream.
There was a time not long ago
A mother who’d let herself go
Decided that she’d had enough
Of sitting on her widening duff
Eating sweets with no concern
Of calories consumed or burned
But despite her clever plans to change
Her weight would always stay the same
And every time she lost a pound
She’d gain back two with a frown
But before resigning altogether
She thought MFP might make it better
With support, accountability and tools
To help comply with weight loss rules
And though changes made were hard to do
She found the strength to follow through
Thanks to friends who light the way
And offer encouragement every day

Day 51 of 90:
“Move out of your comfort zone. You can only grow if you are willing to feel awkward and uncomfortable when you try something new.” –Bryan Tracey0 -
Day 52 of 90:
"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit."
-Aristotle0 -
