My favorite quick crockpot recipe:
Slice up one medium Granny Smith apple and line bottom of crockpot
Top with 1-2 turkey breasts
Cover with another layer of apple slices
Add 1 can of cranberry jelly
Cook on low 8-10 hours
I serve mine with steamed vegetables. It's like a turkey dinner without all the fuss!
I have this one in the slow cooker right now! How many servings does this usually make for you?0 -
They all sound yummy. I will be trying to some of these next week.0

Easy crockpot burrito filling:
London Broil
2 Tbsp Vinegar
1 Package of Taco Seasoning Mix
1 Can diced Ortega Chiles
Put on low and cook for about 8 hours...until you can pull it apart with two forks. Serve with warm flour tortillas and refried beans, sour cream, green onions, salsa,olives...whatever you like to add to burritos

Smithfield has a pork roast that already has garlic and herb seasonings in it. I just put it on low all day with green beans and carrots, maybe some potatoes and the seasonings from the pork flavor the veggies. Came home to that today. Smelled so good!0

Mamafunky, would this work ok with frozen chicken? I can never seem to remember to take out and thaw, looking for the super easy and with frozen recipes.
I most always put the meat in frozen. Yes it works.0 -
Thanks for all the recipes!
Just a suggestion for anyone that has a slow cooker that runs hot (like mine, even though it's brand new!) I find that if I cook on the "warm" setting (the one it defaults to after your timer runs out-lower than "low")...it helps to not dry out/overcook the meat. Especially since I have to leave mine for at least 9 hours on work days.0
