I don't count my splenda. Because two calories a packet is hardly worthy of acknowledgment or thought or discussion.

I suppose if I was snorting a quarter kilo a day or something that'd be different.

Ok. So here we go. I figure splenda is like this... If I had to choose between a real man and a vibrator... I'd totally pick the beast. Aka real man. But sometimes you do what you have to. In that case, splenda is acceptable.

But if you can, totally take the sugar.

But sometimes the sugar will give you gonorrhea so you should have the device? Or something? Hold on a minute.

That's funny. Because in my case, "The Beast" is uhmm...well nevermind.

Anything with less than 5 calories per listed serving size can be labeled as no calorie or 0 etc... This is not news.

What I love is that some people will grab some spray butter and see that it says "0 calories for 5 sprays" then go "OMG it's calorie free butter!". Then they open the top and pour it on...adding hundreds of calories of liquid butter/margarine. Dosage isn't a hard concept.

Yeah this^^ was me a few months ago until I found out that each spray = about a calorie and there is 800 cals to the bottle. Finding out about cooking spray was also a bit of a shock.

"Don't worry - you wont last long here."

It's sad to see you say that........ you clearly have self esteem issues and feel the need to try (key word here) and bring others down. Hopefully in time you will be able to feel good enough about yourself to not do that. *hugs*

I am glad you stood up to that one.

I am not doing keto due to an epileptic condition - it is a lifestyle choice that has improved my health and quality of life.

Just a simple post copying and pasting something I found and thought was interesting (the "not so innocent" part was meant to be funny but I now know this is the wrong audience for such things). Based on the PM's I've gotten and comments in the thread I was successful in spreading the information to people who did find it interesting and didn't know about the calories/carbs. That was all I was trying to do.

Use it, don't use, doesn't matter to me. I was just trying to make sure people know what was in it so they could account for it in the carbs/calories. I'm such a cow, I know.

I thought it was interesting. Hope it is accurate because I am going to remember it.

I don't know if anyone posted this or not, but Splenda in the packets and the small boxes that are meant to be sweeteners for coffee etc, is different from Splenda that is packaged for baking. The Splenda for baking contains sugar. It was formulated to cut down on the sugar in baked goods and the sugar was necessary to get it to mix well. If you ever used the other splenda and tried to bake, it is a disaster. So be careful what you are reading and comparing.
