Red beans and rice without the meat. Yum, delish and spicy for those of you with a taste for hot things. I made it with brown rice instead of white, and finished off with a dessert of Greek yogurt mixed with a cup of fresh pineapple.0

A couple of beef hot dogs with just ketchup - no buns. I kind of splurged on lunch so something lighter it has to be.0

Just found this thread. All the food looks and sounds delicious. Getting lots of ideas.
Tonight I made egg salad with avocado and greek yogurt instead of mayo, and added a slice of turkey bacon to the sandwich. Tomorrow I'm making buffalo pulled chicken in the crockpot.0

I started off with a turkey sausage sandwich while I was deciding what I really wanted. Since I had ribs and pulled pork for a snack, I new supper had to be light. I settled on chicken breast stir fry with extra broccoli, wild rice, green beans and mango salsa. {in other words, last night's leftovers} 0 0

I had a wedding at work tonight. They had real food, which is rare for weddings. It was pulled pork, with a roll, green beans cooked with bacon, and a potato dish with butter, cheddar and little chunks of pork loin. It was all very good. I didn't go near the cake tables. 0 0

Our bunch ate at Sister's house. It was drunken chicken, ham, peas, green beans with early potatoes, Larro's summer salad, pineapple casserole and cornbread. My wife fixed a new low sugar cherry dessert. It turned out real good, but the pictures I took of it didn't. There was also banana pudding, but I didn't try it. But everything I had was real good. 0 0

Grilled turkey burger wraps, sweet potato, stir fry, corn, peas, Larro's summer salad, onion and tomato. All very good. The burgers, even though I made them rectangular, still didn't fit very well in the wrap. I'm going to try a burger roll one of these days. 0 0

There is a wedding reception at work tonight. Supper was smoked chicken, pork loin, some kind of black bean veggie burger, boiled shrimp, a green pea salad, corn on the cob, potato salad, baked beans, broccoli cheese casserole and bread. There wasn't any of it that wasn't top shelf. 0 0
