Honestly, you all are flipping out because it's trendy to flip out.

There's literally zero wrong with - in a short time frame - juicing during the day and eating at night. If it's something that helps the OP feel and be more successful, where's the harm?

Someone - tell me what harm could possibly befall someone for juicing during the day and eating at night for up to 10 days, then returning to a normal eating schedule? Don't ask me "why?" - tell me how it could hurt her. Tell me the risks involved.

I'll try again. So far no one has answered the only question in this thread that matters.

    Anyone?

Good luck with your juice fast. I did a 7 day juice fast recently and I will do it again at some point. I wouldn't say it helped with any substantial weight loss but it did provide two lasting benefits. First, it hardened my self control, choosing not to eat for 7 days will do wonders for your ability to turn down that midnight snack. Second, it reset my pallet, everything veggie tastes fantastic to me now.

What's so wrong with a midnight snack?

You know what I was thinking? I'm thinking everything veggie tastes fantastic because his body is just thankful to be getting food again. Just a thought...

Ah yes coming back to dopamine receptors.

For what it's worth, I totally read it as Juice all day and light dinner as well. Sometimes grammer is used incorrectly, sometimes it's read wrong, Either way, I don't understand why it's such a big deal...

No one is talking about only ingesting juice for several days.

I guess we'll all just be operating under assumptions until OP clarifies.

It's all good though. Encourage her to juice and Yo-Yo diet as opposed just instilling more beneficial long-term habits.

Like I said look at the post history:

Close to goal weight - Wants to lose 2-3 lbs per week.
Thinks Juicing is a great idea due to fact it provides immediate feedback through reflections on the scale
Multiple "Detox" and "Juice Cleanse" mentions in post history.

why does juicing have to be diametrically opposed to having healthy eating habits? I do both. Is it shocking that others may too?

Hmmmmmmm.......... A show of hands: who here wants to emulate Reddy's eating habits???

Pro-Tip: Don't try to do an orange juice fast all of a sudden when you have a cold because you think it's a great way to get all that vitamin C and hydrate. Just sayin'.

Okay, regardless of how the OP was interpreted and everyone's opinion on how well a juicing cleanse will work and I don't believe in them but I do occasionally juice.

How is it a cleanse if you are eating solid food at the same time?

I know I will probably get reamed for asking a logical question. Good thing I have to go run errands.

the answer is b/c when you are juicing even if you eat solid foods it's a cleanse b/c the juice makes sure anything solid you are consuming gets efficiently cleansed out of you.

    Kelsey Grammer; Actor in Frasier.

Grammar; a word used to describe how we write and speak.

Was that mean? I'm kind of a grammar-phile.
