I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, honey.
I love my son to death but it's definitely stressful at times so you really have to be ready. He was planned but he was born completely deaf so it takes some adjustment.

Did twenty minutes of kickboxing. My personal best. :)

I think you're the first person in a long time that I've congratulated for not being pregnant after spending a ton of time with women who are all trying. lol I'm glad you got the answer you were looking for.

I want kids, I just know that at this point in my life I'm not equipped to properly care for one. I can barely feed myself some weeks.
  • Girls, we've all done amazing! Even those of us who gained or didn't lose, it's okay to have a life.

Welcome to all the new pin-ups! This is truly a great group of girls. I hope you enjoy it here.

Rach--I hope everything works out for you. It sounds like you're going through a lot right now, but you seem to be keeping positive. And that's awesome. Thanks so much for doing this for all of us. And I'll miss all your posts throughout the day! Stupid bosses.

As for me, I've got a lot going on by way of school work this week. And I guess it should be a priority. But it's just not. This is my last semester, so I'm done in December, and I am just so apathetic about school right now. My top priority remains my health. Proper eating and exercising is coming in at #1, regardless of how much work I have to do. I'm not sure if this is good or bad, but it helps that I'm not stressed about the work--possibly as a result of my health! I don't doubt that I'll get everything done, I'm just refusing to give it my utmost attention. I so look forward to having a job, and a family to come home to without bringing any work with me. I want work to be work and home to be home.

I want to feel settled and happy with my present instead of always looking to the future. I've never been completely satisfied with where I am in the moment, so maybe my weightloss will help with this a little.

Thanks everyone for your continued motivation!

I totally understand. I wasn't ready for kids a couple of years ago and would have felt the same way.

Rach wow what an emotional rollercoaster you're going through. Hope your doing ok and things work out with you bf the way you want. :flowerforyou:

Dani that's fantastic about your zumba abs comment! You should be so proud of yourself! :drinker:

Karin hope you're feeling a little better today. It's so miserable when you get an injury but you're powering on with differen training which is fantastic so take the positives from that.

Karen hope you finally got some answers from your doc and well done on keeping up with your training!

Congrats to all those who lost this week and for those that gained I'm so glad your still in this with us all together. Fingers crossed for a great week for everyone!

I was going to run today since it rained yesterday, but I need some mental and emotional recovery. I plan on just sitting at home tonight spending some quiet time with my bf. We've been through a lot the last few days.

Thank you all for your support! :flowerforyou:

Grr I'm having a pretty crap week too! I've got a lump in my breast that I'm waiting for a 2nd appt for with the doctor, then my grandad passed away on Sat, brand new washing machine broke down so can't do any washing before holiday, but now we can't even go on holiday because we only have £30 quid to last us until payday (26/10)! So feeling pretty crap and down and just want to eat lots of naughty things, but can't because then I know I'll feel worse about myself. So we'll probably end up staying at home all next week..

Hope everything gets sorted out for you Rach!

*hugs* MaryAnne Sending positive vibes your way, sorry to hear about your Grandad. As hard as it may be try and stay positive. Eating naughty foods will not make things any better.

Rach - I hope you are not getting a heel spir.

Wow it looks like everyone is having a pretty hectic week! I hope that all your problems get sorted, and that everyone gets the end to the week that they deserve - you're all working so hard!

I have a review with a trainer at my gym tonight, who used to help me out with my weight training program. Haven't lifted weights properly since July so he is gonna Kick. My. Butt.

If I can lift my hands to my laptop later tonight I'll come back and tell you how it went!!

I live in Chucks, Rach, so I know the feeling. My feet hurt all the time. The only time I wear anything else is a great pair of Nike walking shoes I've had for a couple of years. Oh and congrats on your eggo not being preggo.

Finished my work out for this morning, hopefully I'll still have enough energy to go walking tonight. Lol.

I'm totally OBSESSED with this new breakfast/snack that I've discovered (like want to make it for breakfast, lunch, snack, snack and dinner lately) , so I figured I'd share it with all of you lovely ladies.

    Chocobanana Frappuccino
    1 banana, peeled and frozen
    3/4 c. prepared coffee
    1/2 c. skim milk
    1/2 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
    2 packets stevia

Freeze your naner. I slice mine thin before freezing---freezes faster when I'm in a hurry and is easier to blend in my crappy blender. Make some coffee and put 3/4c. of it in the fridge to cool off.

Once the naner is frozen and the coffee chilled, throw everything in the blender, blend it up, and enjoy! Makes about 2 8 oz. servings at only 85 calories each! I'm sure it would be delicious with a Tbsp of peanut butter or some protein powder in there too for a little protein boost. mmmmm.....I think I'm gonna go whip up another right now.

you could get some insoles to go in them. i got some for my running shoes and they have worked wonders. i'd imagine they'd be good for shoes you wear all day, too.

Wow, I see I'm not the only one having a crazy week! :noway:

So my saga began on Sunday afternoon, when I checked my email to find out that my soon-to-be-roomie decided she didn't think the place we were planning on moving into was worth that much.......after I'd turned in an $87.50 money order (of MY money!) the day before to hold the place.... :explode: She said she looked at the pictures I'd sent her (3 DAYS BEFORE!!) and thought the full bath was so small and there was hardly any real yard in the yard area, and she just didn't think it was worth $1300 a month. This is Boulder, honey, not Iowa. A 2bed/1.5bath townhome with fenced in yard and w/d, that allows you to have your stupid little half-a-dog, is a STEAL at $1300 a month, no matter how small some areas may be!!!

Luckily, the woman in the office who'd been working with me was REALLY cool. She hadn't deposited the money order yet, so she said I could come by and pick it up, and she would just make a note that we never dropped off a deposit and changed our minds.  Of course, that meant leaving work early (at the start of my 2nd week in my new position) and HAULING it home and then to the office to get it before they closed at 5pm. So all's well that ends well, I guess, but now I'm looking for a new roomie... :grumble:

Bonus, I still got my run in that night! :glasses:

My thoughts and prayers go out to all my fellow Pin-ups that are having difficulties this week, in whatever areas of your life.
  • Maryanne - i'm so sorry to hear about your grandad. As for the lump in your breast, I had the same thing earlier this year. I had to go back to the doctors twice then go to hospital and see a doctor who specialised in breast cancer. After two months of worry, the doctor at the hospital told me within seconds that the lump was completely normal. I think that if you tell your doctor about a lump then he has a duty to get it checked out at the highest level, just in case. Chances are it'll turn out to be nothing.

malpal - Great new photo of you!

Ladies I just ran my first non stop 5 km since my injury today at lunch. What a great feeling, it took me 34:53 on the TM. My hip flexor is twinging a little but I was sure to stretch it good.

This is a non scale victory for me.

Ouch - first lifting session for ages this evening. Surprised myself though, I hadn't lost as much strength as I thought (my trainer wants me to take up heavy lifting!!). Did a deadlift of 100Kg, really happy with that!
Have a lovely evening pin-ups - chicken & pasta is calling me for dinner

Thanks for all the support everyone! Just having a pretty tough time and I couldn't hold it back anymore. Had a good blub at work at felt a lot better!! Spoke with my Dad, and he's kindly giving me some money as an early Christmas present, so I get to go on holiday next week - i really need it!

I'm just hoping to try and get some sort of exercising in while I'm on holiday, don't want to come back and have piled on the pounds!

  • Hey there everyone!! My name is Jenn. May I join your group??? You all seem fun and supportive, and that is always nice. I struggle with emotional eating, and being bipolar, that can come around a lot, so I like being able to post when I am struggling and need an extra boost of support :):) I am currently at 185 lbs. Feel free to add me as a friend if you want. We could all use more friends :):)
