Here is my new photo. I always loved this one-piece ski outfit that I purchased in the mid 1980's. It has lovely details including some stitching in shiny silver thread. The peach color is just right for my complexion. Finally, after many, many years of hoping; about 3 years of trying, and this last year on MFP, I wore it this week!
I've been trying to not make a big deal about food and dieting, but this is a huge accomplishment for me.30 -
Well, it's official. Every single piece of too small clothing that I've kept in various closets in a growing list since 1999 fits. Every single one. Every suit, every swimsuit, every pair of jeans, every evening gown. I'm stunned. AND I think it's time to purge a whole lot of clothes and mental baggage.
That's a fantastic result!11 -
This is a victory as far away from a scale that can be. Last Friday I invited my ex wife over for dinner and a talk. We aired all out grievances and said everything that need to be said. We made a pact to start fresh, have a friendship that looks to the future, not the past. So freeing and conscious cleansing.
that's some powerful stuff. congrats to you two being able to move forward. Great job!5 -
About 3 years ago someone gave me some cute Erimish bracelets. They were too tight so I gave them away. Yesterday I bought some more, because now they fit! Sparkliness looks great on my slimmer wrist! 🤩13

I was on the bench at our first hockey game of the season - the first in almost a year. One of my teammates commented that I looked good and that he could see that I was faster on the ice. That made me feel really good.23

I can see my collarbone again.22

I was able to teach some biology work on obesity to my students and didn't automatically feel ashamed. I am still obese but feel better able to look at it objectively as something I am working on, rather than taking it as a personal insult. This is a huge thing for me!24

Pulled out a favorite L/S tee that was too snug in November. Fits much easier now and what I thought was a size L actually is a size M. MFP is working.15

I ran 5k for the first time yesterday. It's something I thought I'd never be able to do. I'd tried to get into running 3 or 4 times before and ended up hurting my leg each time. Not this time though.22

A positive negative from the last week,
I set myself a target of doing 100,000 steps last week, and fell a little short achieving 95,699 = Negative
However this is still 18,550 more than my weekly average so far this year = Positive27 -
I went to give blood and they asked for my weight. For the first time I can remember, I just blurted out the actual correct weight!!!! It's not where I want to be yet, but it's no longer totally embarrassing. And I didn't get the side look that says, "Really??? You expect me to believe that's your weight?????"18

I did a Telehealth Dr. visit this week. When I went through the online precheck-in, I took Obesity OFF my chart!21

I was getting into my thin friend's car to drive when I realized that I did not have to move the car seat back to get in. I let out a scream that scared her terribly, but she was happy for my exuberance!19

I moved 2 cubic yards of topsoil around the yard this weekend and am only a little sore (minus the sciatic nerve that has been getting randomly inflamed recently). The little bit of sore is enough to make sure I move around more purposefully today so i can still move tomorrow despite DOMS that I feel settling in as I've been sitting at my chair for work. I also have eaten a reasonable amount of calories today despite being starving today. A healthy dinner is planned so I just need to avoid the mindless munchies between now and then and drink more water.13

I actually feel like I'm smaller for the first time. I still have a ways to go but am really starting to feel it. I also turned down multiple invites to have drinks, this is a BIG deal for a girl who always love to go out for drinks.14

I pulled down one of our 'uncomfortable' outdoor deck chairs - because it was a beautiful day outside yesterday. When I sat down, it wasn't 'uncomfortable' because of the small-ish size (the 45# lost so far didn't even occur to me as I sat down) but it was just uncomfortable because they are uncomfortable chairs...not because I felt squeezed into it!17

I can wear my youngest son's clothes. Some of them. This would be more impressive if he weren't 20 years old, but STILL.22

I've been gaining weight and muscle since December.
I have to go out at the end of the week to replace a fair few of my clothes to a bigger size, for the first time since my teens. My favourite outdoor cargo shorts are skin tight on my legs!16 -
The other day when I was doing Overhead Press... I saw a tiny vein appear in my shoulder muscle. It's silly but it looked badass. Haha17

I went to the gym 3 times this week. First time I've done that in over a year. Darn COVID. I was able to do a mile on the treadmill wearing a mask. I'm claustrophobic so it's very difficult but I DID IT!21

Realized I didn't need to unbutton or unzip my jeans to remove them!24

I... have muscle definition in my legs?!?!18

For the first time in about three years my blood pressure was down to 120/80 when my doctor checked it last week.20

I gave away my favorite dress to a student who needed it for a performance. It was the dress that did the best job of draping and covering all of my wobbly bits, but now it doesn't fit at all. Might as well be a parachute now that I'm down 85 pounds. I've never lost enough weight before or been confident enough in my continued progress to let go of my bigger clothes. I have always kind of assumed that I'll end up back at the higher weight eventually. This time is different though, and I can let go because I KNOW I won't need that dress anymore. (And the dress looks stunning on her. After she tried it on, she wore it throughout the entire rehearsal because she felt so pretty. I'm sad to see it go, but glad that I can wear other cute dresses and someone else can feel beautiful in the dress that always made me feel more confident.)32

My husband has been in the hospital with COVID for 25 days, 10 of those in Acute Care. I also managed to come down with it while he was in the Hospital. This has been, without a doubt, the most terrifying and stressful time of my life. Because of the consistent work the last year, I was able to maintain my weight and even eat mostly well. It has made such a difference. I also truly believe that the consistent healthy nutrition he's also eaten the last year contributed to him being able to fight this off. We are now believers in eating for health and why it matters as the bigger goal!
Oh and he gets to come home TODAY!!!!!

@solieco1 I am so happy your husband is coming home
My most recent NSV is that I did 2 sessions of jogging of 8 minutes which were hard but not impossible which is good because I have a 20 minute jog planned for Friday that is to be done all at once
Fantastic! You are ready for that next one

Just realized that I need a new office chair at work. I keep sliding forward in the seat. It was a chair that was brought for me special, because I weighed 319 lbs. back then. Also, my thighs touch the sides of the arm rests. I can now fit two kitty cats (one on each side) on the chair with me now. Down 95 lbs. now - Wow and double Wow life feels great for me!!!23
