A friend commented that I was losing weight the "right" way... She explained that she thought I was doing it healthfully, and that I look healthy, not like I was on some "fad" diet. I just do what works for me, and keeps me feeling fantastic!!20

You missed the chance to just get a cup of Sonic ICE which is BOMB! But good on you for saying no! I can never turn down ice cream!
I'm so jealous!! The only 2 Sonics within a reasonable distance went out of business!!!2 -
My morning blood sugar went from being in the 120s to down in the 90s....hopefully avoiding diabetes! Also, quit taking HCTZ for blood pressure, Zonisamide for migraines, and Wellbutrin. Getting off of sugar and going low carb does wonders!15

Wore "jeggings" and a shorter fitted shirt and sweater to work today and no one said I was "ridiculous" !! no one actually ever says that but it's in my mind! I actually received a couple compliments today16

While sitting in a chair I crossed my legs without thinking about it. It is the first time I have been able to cross my legs in years. Yay!20

My cholesterol was total of 249 end of October 2020. Told the doctor no meds, I will take the lead with diet and exercise. We agreed to a new test end of March 2021 which is today. The results are in cholesterol down to a total of 205. HDL is great and LDL is good. Very pleased. Lost 15 lbs and walking 3 to 4 miles everyday.18

I got my 5k time under 35 minutes for the first time today. Also, I am so close to being able to touch my toes for the first time basically ever.20

Going 31 for 31 in March working out. Love seeing the continuous streak in the reports graph. The scale moved a little but the energy, positivity, improved sleep, better fitting clothers etc moved a lot.14

That's the best for your self-esteem (and worst for your budget!) I'm in-between sizes right now and can't wait to ditch the bigger size.6 -
I have managed to stay away from processed sugars for the last few days and I am feeling great! I haven't quit sugar completely, but I'm on my way to a healthier me and I'm so excited to see where I will go from here!16

Took this photo today and realized the features in my face are returning instead of just being a round blob.32 -
About a month in to the journey to healthier me. The ole' pandemic quarantine helped me pack on an extra 20 lbs in about 8-10 months. A physical in early Feb, said I am at high risk for Metabolic Syndrome; (cluster of conditions that occur together, increasing your risk of heart disease, stroke and type 2 diabetes. These conditions include increased blood pressure, high blood sugar, excess body fat around the waist, and abnormal cholesterol or triglyceride levels.) ~ so the journey began that day. I've not seen the scale move, but in tracking my foods and being aware of my intake I'm FEELING the difference in my clothes and energy. I still graze like crazy but have replaced chips & cookies, for almonds & pita chips... fruits, nut butter, etc. Everyone keep up the good work~ it's worth it!14

Today I fit in a booth with plenty of room to spare that 6 months ago I wouldn't have even been able to squeeze into.

Kind of a NSV and kind of an annoyance: I keep putting my phone on my lap like I used to and it falls down the gap between my thighs! 🙈😂 Might need a stronger case!15

When people tell me I don't look like I need to lose 35kg at all12

An old, but very cute tennis skirt fits me again! And a new one I made just a few months ago also fits. I never finished the hem because the waist didn't fit. Now it does!19

Also, it's easier climbing stairs (I can sprint now).25 -
I went to a 34 to 32 in bra strap size. (I don't know if I worded that right)18

1. Another small pile of clothes being donated as they are hanging on me.
2. Attended a family BBQ and enjoyed everything including dessert, while staying within my budget. It took a few months to truly plan for events like this, controlling serving sizes, and making choices that allow you to not lose sight of the big picture.17 -
30-day login streak. Nothing compared to some of you amazing people, but it's the longest I've consistently logged on here!21

Back in the day, I used to wear colorful scrubs with superheros, cartoons, etc. We switched to a standardized uniform a few years ago, which was good in a way, because my superhero scrubs were getting tight. Earlier this week, we did a photo shoot for our upcoming Lab Week & the theme is Avengers. I found my old Spiderman scrub top & it was actually loose & comfortable again!21

I was wandering in my yard today, and decided I'd better prune the 20 foot or so row of spirea shrubs *now*. I usually cut them back to short nubs as soon as there's a bit of green leaf showing.
While doing it, I had a flashback: I remembered that there had been a time when doing this quickly/energetically would have me breathing hard, and my arm muscles would start getting tired part way through.
Apparently, Mr. Bob Dylan had a point: "I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now." Today, it was not even a thing; just kind of unconsiderably trivial.
I don't remember how long ago that was: I starting improving fitness long before losing weight. But today I remembered that feeling vividly, as having happened sometime back there a few years.23
