My wife and I attended a wedding out of state over the weekend. When I checked into the hotel, I handed the night manager my ID. He took a look at it, then a second look and said "It looks like you've lost some weight since this picture was taken."25

I was very happy this last spring when my license expired. The DVS clerk said I could just use the same picture, and I told the her I had earned a new one! She then told me my current weight was her goal weight. Nice.24 -
Finally hitting my stride with strength training.
Dropped a shirt size.
I think even my shoes are fitting looser.
And the scale tells me I've only lost 3 pounds.19 -

@Slackpacker your body will be holding onto a lot of water if you have recently started lifting/upped your lifting game, so don’t panic!5 -

Peanut M&Ms are my favorite candy.
Unlike you I would have eaten way way more the 5 or 8.
If I ate even one the battle would be hard.
Funny when I mention diet to my wife she starts serving steamed cauliflower and broccoli.

I have had my weight off, 40 lbs for four years now so no one mentions it any more. Today I got 2 compliments. I was at a meeting and a lady said I can tell you go to the gym, you look so fit! Then at the gym a lady was talking about her friend and said she looks a lot like you, she is really small. Wow that felt good being called small. She was bigger but it felt good anyway!12

My NSV is that I started automatically checking calories on things even though I'm off on my very first business trip. At dinner last night I didn't check calories but I tried to pick something that was nutritous at least, partly because I didn't want to feel like crap. Today I turned away chips and a brownie with my sandwich when I got one look at the calorie totals, which were insane for how tiny they were.11

My NSV is, I'm not logging 100 percent of the time anymore. We eat a lot of home cooked meals here and sometimes, those are the hardest to log. But I am still losing weight! I can have a full day of cleaning the house and walking the dogs and making meals and know when I can afford a few more calories. My husband likes cheese and crackers as a snack before bed. Last night I knew I earned it so I had some too. This morning, I am down almost a pound compared to a few days ago. 173.8...I'm inching towards that 169 mark. I have noticed that there are stretches that I don't lose for awhile and then stretches where it falls right off and I'm okay with this.13

Earlier I tried on a load of old jeans/trousers I kept hold of for 'when i lost weight one day' and they all fit!15

You know the paper towel effect? Basically the closer you get to your ideal weight, the more dramatic a difference you see with a few pounds lost. That’s my NSV, I’m closer to the cardboard roll than I’ve been and my body is changing rapidly. It’s cool to witness.
I got rid of a bunch of clothes today, and I tell my husband I only need a few filler pieces until my weight stabilizes but he is soooo supportive.
He says “never apologize for needing new clothes, those are badges of honor, you’ve completely transformed your body and you’re alive now, you have a body today… you need clothes for this body. Buy what you need for this size body and buy some more later…“
And… I am just so happy to have my person be the person whose cheering the loudest for me.32 -
I tracked all of my calories, stayed within my goal and had some left over, woohoo!17

I absolutely love this for you. Your husband sounds like an awesome partner in life. Congrats on needing new clothes and passing on the ones that no longer fit who you are.10 -

Yesterday I had a huge portion of pasta (150g) with spinach and other things and I was full halfway through it, when previously it wasn't as padded out and I could eat 115g of pasta and still be hungry.
Today, I stayed within my goal and had veges before all of my meals so I wouldn't eat as much and I had heaps of water. Also walked the long way around the park to get more steps in then I usually would.12 -
Down a bra size!!!!23

Went to Costco yesterday and was pretty shocked to see the woman in the mirror in the ladies restroom was much thinner than I remember. I turned to the side and “where did my thighs go?!?” 😂19

I just bought 2 pairs of clearance jeans, expecting to put them in my closet to shrink into but they fit right freaking now!!! Size 8. 😮 I know it is some vanity sizing but woo hoo!!22

Last weekend I tried on and bought my first pair of jeans that were under a size 40 in at least 15 years!21

Well, I’ve shrunk out of my SHOES! What the heck? I have noticed my shoes were getting looser, but this morning it literally feels like I’m flopping around in my husband’s or one of my son’s shoes…12

Who knew feet could shrink too? I lost an entire shoe size and went down to medium width rather than wide. I had to give up most of my shoes after losing nearly 100#. I managed to save some by putting in foam inserts.6 -

That is so crazy! This was one of those things I was not expecting. After only 20 lbs lost, my shoes got loose as well. I’m down 32 now, and I’ve had to buy a few new pairs. The good news is that wearing heels no longer kills my feet immediately. I can wear them for a while.
My newest NSV is that someone took a picture of me dancing at a party recently, and the definition in my arms is pretty noticeable. That’s a first in my life.
