This morning after my shower when I wrapped my towel around me I realized it fit around me much further than a few months ago. I used to wrap and tuck it but have most of the side open past my natural waist. Now it closed through the hip and I just had to grab it a little to fold over completely. Totally trivial but it was nice to see .2

Took my week 6 progress picture and wow...I'm always so shocked to see such a big visual difference when my weight on the scale is going down so slowly.

It used to be a workout when I got ready in the morning. Now, I can get ready, actually do a workout, and still have energy2

I didn't know it would start a new path. Today I received my personal trainer certification notice:

Ever since I've been eating a lot of nuts and yogurt, I realized I haven't been craving the chips or the cheese. I eat tons of nuts like almonds, walnuts, pecans, cashews, and peanuts. They are high in calories but I think they have potato chips beat when it comes to nutrition.
Also I kicked soda....just drinking water and tea and I don't miss it.
This is me, too. Potato chips, Doritos, salty snacks, etc. were just The Worst. If I had a huge ol' bag of chips I couldn't help eating them all in a day. If I had two big ol' bags of chips I'd eat them both in a day. If I had three bags of chips... well, you get the picture. A shameful number of times I've eaten chips until I was sick.
Now, almost 60 pounds later, there's a big ol' bag of Lays in my pantry. I weighed out an ounce for the missus and myself with dinner. And that's it. I'm so proud of my new ability to eat reasonably. I'm not kidding, before beginning my weight loss I doubt if a bag of chips EVER survived longer than 24 hours around me.2 -
I have bones I have not seen in years and I have gone from an 18W to a 16 since January 5th...

This must be what healthy feels like

I just realized that all my pants are too big! Funny thing is, I have no desire to go shopping for new ones until I'm down one more size1

I bought my first bikini today.1

During a college visit with my oldest yesterday, my pants (which were so tight they were basically unwearable two months ago) were literally falling down. I haven't needed a belt in, well, forever so I never even thought of wearing one. And my strength training/cardio is reshaping everything. It's amazing

Today I fit into a shirt that was too tight when I bought it a month and a half ago, but that's not my NSV. The shirt is from Sahalie. Last year my sister-in-law saw me with the Sahalie catalog and asked, without malice, "Why are you looking in there? Aren't those clothes for skinny girls?"
Yes. Yes, they are.4 -

Finally got my sweetheart shaped face back. I was getting really tired of the round one.1

Started losing weight again, albeit micro amounts. I know what I have to do to lose, but my life is so insanely busy. Not the busy that everyone says they are, I mean from the moment I get out of bed to when I sleep I am doing something. I do squats in the shower even! Today I had to get something out of the car at work and I ran there and back! Not very far, but I have to squeeze exercise in when I can. I wish it was safe to go running at midnight, when I usually get home and/or am finished doing tasks! Maybe I'll look into renting a machine...
And I just won't, can't, starve myself. No way.
This isn't an NSV so much as a vent to say, "Poor me, this is really hard, I wish I had more time." Now, I'll get on with it.1 -
My skinny pants are now too baggy!!
I bought them as my fat pants were too huge after about 20lbs down. NOW! my pants for my skinny self are too big! Time to go shopping again....
And I am excited because I wont feel like such a lump trying on shorts for this summer!! Last year, the fitting room made me cry. This year, I am psyched to be in there!3 -
I finally got my new stationary bike, and I've managed to do AT LEAST five minutes every single day (about 4-5 days now) since I started using it! I can't do more than five minutes at a time without wanting to die, so I've gone and done an extra five minutes later in the day a couple of times.2

Got through 20 squats last night without having to stop and pause midway!1

When I started using my stationary bike I couldn't stand more than min at a time. At the end of Feb I did a challenge that took 8 hours straight on it. It gets easier

I just bought a new bike! I had a cute folding bike, but I'm doing the 5 Boro Bike Tour in NYC next month and decided, after passing my PT certification and doing a bicycle scavenger hunt last weekend, that I am entitled to trade up. lol
