Leaving the doctor's office with blood work numbers all in the green, when last fall, they were littered with red and yellow!4

Tried on some jeans during lunch break at Ann Taylor Loft and I could fit a 12! I would like them to be a tad looser in the waist, but there was no tugging and sucking in to get them on. This was also after eating lunch...so a bit of belly bloat going on. I started out mostly in 16s, and while they have gotten baggy they are still wearable with a belt.
I didn't buy them, and I have no intention on buying new clothes prior to my vacation in early summer. But my goal I set for vacation is to be hopefully a 10, but at a minimum a 12. Lol I'll take the 12...but just maybe reaching a 10 in at least this same cut/brand jeans is a real possibility by then!
I fit in a size 10 formal gown a week ago, and I just assumed it was vanity sizing and a fluke....but maybe I'm finally reaching the point where I'm shifting more towards 10-12 than 14-16. Exciting...I needed a kick in the butt to stay focused these couple months before vacation, and this just gave me some much needed motivation!3 -

I had to cut ANOTHER new notch into my belt before work this morning because they were sagging too much to look professional. That's now two notches in past several weeks I've had to add. Guess I'll be needing to buy a new belt soon3

Went running yesterday at a faster pace than I'm used to and wasn't even very tired after 2 miles! Felt pretty good!3

Needed an afternoon snack, and had my hands on a 160-calorie bag of chips (which I could have fitted into my day without a problem). I was about to open them when I thought, "No, I might want a square of chocolate after supper!". I put them away and got a 35-cal yogurt instead. And maybe I won't even have the chocolate.4

I bought new jeans 3 weeks ago. They were just slightly tight when they came. Today I could have used a belt because they bag around the butt....3

I haven't been able to run in years due to gnarly shin splints. Turns out that the reason I had them was all my extra weight. Now that I've dropped 40 pounds I can jog without ending in excruciating pain. It's pretty awesome!3

Awesome! Great job! It gets easier as long as you are comfortable ordering and asking for what you want. I had lunch out with friends on Friday and the server brought a brownie sundae to celebrate a birthday, even though we said no dessert. The old me would have eaten it because it was there and I wouldn't want to offend by leaving it. This time, I had one tiny bite and walked away from it happily.
I looked at the dessert menu and then said no. I told the kids the next time we'd come and just order dessert. They have dessert "minis" which are actually a nice portion without overwhelming calories. I don't know why they're called "minis," because they're not that small. Though maybe the old me would have been disappointed at the size.0 -
The other day I had to stop for a potty break on my run and a worker there yells out to me "You're a BOSS! keep it up boss!" Then looks at the lady next to him and says "Every day or night I see that girl out running"....I walked out thinking "you know what? I AM a boss hehe" . Then a few min later that same person happen to drive by me while I was running up a hill saying "You're a beast!" I run for me and my sanity but it is nice to occasionally be noticed for my hard work8

I cheered myself up yesterday with a dose of new-found perseverance. It was 7:30pm, had a hard day and my little kids seemed extra cranky, the house felt untidy and i had a headache...but hadn't done my run yet for the day. I felt like crawling into bed with a book and an extra blanket! However, i reminded myself that the only person i was cheating was myself, so i got out the door with my C25K program and ran... felt so good to overcome the minor diversions and do it because i know its so good for me. Of course, I came home feeling high, headache had gone and decided to give the laundry room a tidy up and clean (even mopped the floor at 9:30pm!)
Added bonus (and this is scale related so doesnt really belong here...but..) the scale was down another pound this morning - reward!!!.... YAYAAY!5 -
Yesterday, I turned down happy hour drinks with a friend I hadn't seen in a while because I wouldn't be able to get my 3 runs for the week in otherwise. This from a gal who used to make any excuse to cheat on food (not on my workouts b/c THAT was non-existent until this year!!) Feel GREAT about the decision today, and found out I get to see this friend this weekend anyway!!!! I feel like things could be turning around for realz this time:)2

Two and a half years of hard work deserves a reward. She arrived today my new fully adaptable dress form I never dared buying one as I carry my weight low, hence my hips and torso did not fit in the same dress form sizing.
She is a size S and does at no area need to be expanded to the maximum width.
I am so proud of myself when I see myself in that dressform. Oh and as she is red, she is called Ruby7 -
Sooo...today THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE EVER TURNED DOWN FOOD I REALLY WANTED. FIRST TIME!! I was making a video for work. That's what I do. The event was a luncheon with Cajun food (my favorite). I told myself BEFORE that I would not eat any of that delicious gumbo, jambalaya, etoufee and fluffy, hot, spicy rice. And as everyone smacked their lips and offered me a plate, over and over and over...........I TURNED IT DOWN AND ATE MY SALAD!!!!! This is a victory. I know that if I could say no today, I can make it to my goal! Praise The Lord!!!!6

I walked over 100,000 steps according to my Fitbit last week. It came out to over 37 miles walked.5

I just came back from Vacation and started tracking my food again, which is great because usually after a break it takes a long time for me to get motivated again3

I have never had that happen before but apparently that is where weight is coming from!3 -
I had an NSV that started from diet failure. I went 350 cal over goal at dinner (curse you, General Tso), but I was determined to end the day in the green. I figured it would take me 90 agonizing minutes on the stationary bike to burn it off. But to my surprise, I was able to sustain a 16.5 mph/145 bpm pace for 60 minutes relatively painlessly. Eight weeks ago, 20 minutes at 13mph was the absolute limit of what I could do.

Today I wore size 16 pants and a L shirt to work. A year ago, I was wearing 26/28 and a tight 3X.2

I mitigated a binge by moderating my calories for the rest of the day. I only ended up *slightly* over my goal for the day. I also made it out for a walk, which I should be doing everyday but haven't managed in a while. A neighbor whom I don't recall meeting before saw me and said "There she is! Where have you been?" Knowing that I am, in fact, NOT the only one who knows if I get my walk in should help motivate me to keep it up!2
