A guy at the work holiday party told me I looked hot. I wish I didn't need the outside validation (and I do think I look great), but having really never had it before, particularly from someone I also think is attractive, I really appreciated that.24

Haven't flown since May, which I right about when I was at my heaviest. Was basically fully extending the seat belt and was at risk for having to ask for an extender.
Literally on a plane right now and not only closed the seat belt on the first try p, but have a decent amount of room to spare.30 -
Finished my 7th weightlifting session this morning. Nice to have my body adjust to the program more. So far I have worse DOMS in my arm from my flu shot yesterday than benching haha.9

I logged nearly everyday from Feb thru sometime in Sept when I got cocky... and lazy... and I've backslid a few lbs. Well the past 3-4 weeks I've been hitting the gym harder than ever and now I've logged 4 consecutive days in a row. I can already tell it's making a difference as I feel less bloated in the mid section. Hopefully by Christmas I'll be at my lowest weight since I started and under 230 so I can start to plan my skydiving trip. I was not going to let the eating/snacking pleasures of Christmastime get the best of me!21

Yesterday I completed day 2 of week 1 of C25K and am really happy. It is not much, but just 10 months ago I couldn't even get day 1 done! I really would love to be able to run a half marathon maybe in 2018??18

I was crazy proud when I ran my first 5km a few weeks ago (well not sure I could out run the zombies, but it counted as running )
Sadly I have an inflammation with swelling around the spine right now, so slow walking (definitely not outrunning the zombies at the moment) is all I can do. I can't wait to get back to it!9 -

Sooooo looking forward to the 5k!!!
Take the time to fully heal, it's very important (or at least so I've read!! ). Hope you feel better soon!

I was really in panic mode yesterday for my exam and my natural response is eating enough chocolate to feed an army. I didn't buy the chocolate because it was going to start a bingeing cycle, I just knew it. I will buy my chocolate and eat it today though, but that's because in this state of mind I can buy a small bar which will fit into my calorie allowance and move on with life. Baby steps.35

I have kind of a generalized NSV that I'm really pleased about: I've been fitting foods I love into my goals easily! Last time I was losing I kept my diet really rigid, but this time I'm finding it really is okay to have some "junk." Yesterday I had fast-food twice, today I'm having stroopwafels with my coffee and will have pizza for dinner, and I still have plenty of room for snacks or a cocktail if I want one. I keep going on and on about this, but it's just such a refreshing change from my usual starve-or-binge habits!
I've been doing this as well! I bought a pack of 12 mini chocolates (70 calories each) and told myself I could have one any day that I have spare calories, but no changing around meals to shove it in there (like eating all 12 and skipping lunch and dinner. ). I'm very proud of myself because it's been working for about 4 weeks now--and I don't feel the NEED to eat them every day or overeat them!20 -
I went to the grocery store yesterday and didn't buy any junk food. Doritos AND pringles were on offer! SUCCESS!17

An old friend commented "holy balls, lookin good" on a recent facebook picture of myself. It was a compliment I NEVER expected to get. Totally made my morning after being up every few hours taking care of my sick little!18

I did 45 push-ups today. My biggest # till date.26

So, it's 15 degrees with windchill factor here - 23 degrees registered. And SUPER windy. I drove the car pool, meaning all my stuff was in the back of the SUV to make room for a kid in the passenger seat. Got to work - parking is lousy, I'm high up on top of a hill, did I mention WIND?? Could not bring myself to get out of the car, and fight the wind to raise the back door, fish thru the stuff back there for my coat, mittens, hat and muffler, and stand there in the bitter cold wind, trying to put everything on. SO... I just lowered the driver's seat all the way back, and CLIMBED OVER THE SEAT & CONSOLE to the middle of the SUV, reached in the back for my warm garments, sat in the middle seat and put everything on, then got out of the car, properly bundled up. WIN!! I don't know if I could have done this contortion trick a year and a half ago - but I do know I wouldn't even have tried it. Today I did it without much thought at all - knowing I could easily fit through the space without running the risk of breaking something expensive - like hinges!! #lovemylife!34

I officially consider myself a powelifter!37

I did a hand stand up against the wall. I hadn't done it since my early teenage years. My husband who has never had any weight problems was impressed. He tried to do it too but couldn't even lift his legs up.26

My new smaller winter coat doesn't let drafts come up, like old now too-big one. It got a quick test earlier today, but I didn't feel like being outside too much.11

Large shirts now fit, which is hard to rap my mind around because I was wearing a 3X.23

Hubby and I are traveling for business the next few days and staying at a hotel. I headed to the fitness room to grab a workout and hopped on the treadmill. I walked for about 5 minutes and felt up to a little more, so I cranked that thing up and decided to run.
I ran for a little more than two miles. No incline set, but increased my speed from about 3.9 to 4.2 mph.
I had no idea until today that I could do that. Sure, I walk my dog a few times a day and sometimes jog around the park with her, but hot damn I made that mother*kitten* my *kitten* today.26 -

Also, I say things like "headed to the fitness room to grab a workout..." now.31 -

Just got back from my work holiday party. Didn't have dessert and kept to my calorie goal for my meal. I've never been able to do that before. I'm so jazzed.34

I was going to have some sorbet this evening as a treat... my goal is only 1290 calories but I still had room for it. But after I logged the two truffles I sampled from the batch I made earlier, I saw that my intake for the day was exactly 1200. I couldn't bear to ruin that nice round number! I didn't have the sorbet after all - and I'm not sad about "missing out" either.24

It's COLD in my corner of the world. We went to cut down our Christmas tree today and I wore a pair of my daughter's old ski pants. She wore them as a teenager and I can now wear them!!!!! Unbelievable21

Going out to lunch with friend and not freaking out cause I went over calories for one day....usually that would be permission to continue to eat badly but not this time.15
