My favorite victory is going shopping right in my own closet !
Much more satisfying than any scale can ever show and better than shopping
at the stores. I find stuff I know already I like, and I can take my time.
Going thru past clothes and finding 8 pairs a pants that now fit again, and I can now fit into all my size L
dress shirts. I must have 30 very nice/expensive shirts that now go back into the rotation. Can't wait to
get into the next size down pants and the "M" shirts30 -
guy who works in the warehouse next door reintroduced himself to me today LOL. He was being a flirt and didnt recognise me and it only been maybe 2 months since he last saw me XD33

I ran my first 10k race today and I'm ecstatic about the time (oh, and the fact that 33 runners came in after me!)36

Re starting after a long rough fall and winter. 1 week in. 3 lifting sessions and today I even laced up my shoes and stepped out the door. My lungs kindly humbled me from thinking I was anywhere near fit, but hey- I went.32

But today for some reason, I was able to push through the fear and I kept practicing the moves until I nailed them. I've been trying to get these moves for about 2-3 weeks now.

Leg switches (my studio calls them electric switches):

For the love of all that is holy.

Got some sort of weird bleach stain on some pretty new jeans...but was happy about it because they are starting to get too loose anyway Now I won't feel bad about getting new ones soon!

A couple more little things:
I had a "reassessment" with my chiropractor's assistant yesterday, and mentioned that losing weight seems to have helped my back pain a good deal. She said "Yeah, you've lost a LOT!", and asked how much. When I told her 55lbs, her eyebrows nearly took off and she said, "That's like a whole child!" Thinking about having lost a small person is a different way of looking at it, I guess! And she'd never said anything to me about it, even though I go every 3-4 weeks, so it was kind of nice to know that she HAD noticed.
From the Elephant Penis thread, 55 lbs is a 5000 BTU Air Conditioner that you were lugging around with you everywhere. The penis is next in your achievements
http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/660835/ive-lost-an-elephant-penis/p1
55 pounds = a 5000 BTU air conditioner
60 pounds = an elephants penis
66 pounds = fats and oils an average American eats in a year
70 pounds = an Irish Setter
I'm not sure how my husband would feel about it, if I tell him I'll soon have lost a penis...
That list is great, though! I'm aiming to lose a gold brick in total!11 -

It's silly, I know, but instead of just seeing skin, I'm starting to see the little dips and the beginnings of raised bones. I know I sound so weird, but it's nice to see it again
When I first rediscovered mine, I could feel the bones before I could really see them and I couldn't keep my hands off them! I realised that I kept touching them as if to make sure they were really there. Now, though, they're starting to feel very bony and a bit odd, and if I have to scratch an itch or something it feels weird! They don't look bony, though - I can see them in the mirror, but they're not that noticeable, so I don't know why they feel the way they do.
But anyway - what I really wanted to say was that I completely understand your fascination with them!

I finished week 2 of C25K today. I was going to do it at the gym, but on a lark I decided to hit up the local track instead and try it outside. It was cold (for a Californian wearing gym clothes), drizzly, and I forgot my headphones. But I didn't let any of that stop me. It was a bit harder on the track than the treadmill, but I'm confident that week 3 will be no problem.23

I'm rocking a pair of red pants at work today. Big deal because 1. they're red and 2. they're really tight (by design). and I like the way my legs look in them!!!!!

I'm planning on doing a sprint triathlon in May. While I have been getting my swims and walks in (can't run), I have really neglected the bike. Most of my bricks have been swim/walk, or ten minutes on a recumbent bike then swimming. My trainer and I biked the course this weekend. Just getting on the bike was a NSV and I didn't do horribly. I need to get my pace up a couple MPH but I bit the bullet and rode 11 miles, and plan on biking the course at least twice a month until the triathlon.23

I had a lunchtime NSV. I left the office to do a couple of errands and felt so hungry! I contemplated doing the McDonald's drive through, but when I passed it... I just kept on driving. After errands I stopped at home for a big salad with tomato, avocado, egg, balsamic vin. It was wonderful and filled me up.28

At our Monday morning meeting today a co-worker hadn't noticed me come into the room. She said "Oh there you are! I missed you because you're so slim now". Me? Slim? We'll yes, I guess I am24

This morning I got disheartening comments on a post I started with a "then" pic and a "now" pic. I'm not calling them before's and after's because it's not really that. I posted this in motivation and support thread by the way. So the first comment I got was pointing out my muffin top before she said good stuff and the second kinda said "you know a change isn't going to come after only one week." I was ready to either throw in the towel or starve myself (to get to my goal faster). Is this what I get for being brave and posting fat pix of myself?
I came home anyway and did my Daily Burn workout. And, as luck would have it, it was kickboxing today. I kinda pictured those comments in my head while I did my routine. So glad I stuck with my daily workout instead of letting a bunch of nobody's get to me!!53 -
I noticed that veins in my arms are a lot more prominent then they were when I was at my heaviest.8
