Had blood work back today, everything is in normal range and BP was 113/73. I have secondary hypertension and my BP before weight loss was running at 140/90 so this is huge, also explains my occasional dizzy spell...19

It was extremely hot out today so I was really craving a cold beer to enjoy in the evening. I was already standing in the supermarket and was ready to pick when I decided I would buy spa red (sparkling water) with lemon and mint instead. Now I'm sipping that with some ice cubes and don't have a moment of regret. It's delicious and made me smile with victory!18

I don't think I've ever walked away from shopping with a smile on my face. I usually leave empty-handed and frustrated.
Bra: 36DD, down from 44G
Shorts: 14 (loose), down from 22
T-shirts: L, down from 2X
I didn't step foot in the Plus department.
I'm actually getting a little verklempt thinking about it. I thought 14 was as small as I was ever going to get, but I still have 30 lbs to go. I have no clue where I'll end up.40 -

I knew the pants I'm wearing today have gotten baggy. But in the grocery today, I thought I was gonna lose them!21

I'm not sure this is a victory but I've started to feel sick (stomachache/lethargic) after eating a lot at once, like I used too all the time, and it's a terrible feeling but it means I'm used to eating less and my body recognizes that I shouldn't eat that much, so a positive overall!20

I finally understand that I have to eat more to loose more. I lost 3 lbs this week alone bringing my total up to 14 lbs. gone! I've had so many compliments at work today. I can get used to this.23

Just completed Week 6, Day 1 of C25K.
Three shorter runs (plods) interspaced with walks instead of one long run.
For some reason, it seemed harder than the 20-minute run.
This time I was encouraging my son to keep going instead of the other way around22 -
I no longer feel guilty the days I overeat, which is during the rare occasion when I eat out and a restaurant doesn't have the calories posted. I have to guesstimate everything. My solution, I just walk 20,000 steps that day outside or inside my home, which is about 2300-2500 calories burned per my garmin watch. Since I rarely even eat up to 2000 cals , I've only eaten up to 1900 cals one time in the past 5 months. I feel like that takes care of any worry about sabortaging my weight loss. It's also one of the most important lessons I've learned in this journey, I feel like I finally have control over my body- my eating habits, weight gain, weight loss, without going to the gym or going on any crazy diet restrictions.25

I'm not ordering a pizza today. I'm not ordering a pizza today. I'm not ordering a pizza at anytime this weekend. Believe it or not, this has become a victory after a few bad weekends, and I'm proud of myself. I'm still not ordering the pizza. I'll repeat it all weekend to myself.37

Two maybe three years ago my mom gave me this vineyard vines belt that was too small for me but super cute. It is pink with boats and whales and lighthouses , very preppy very cute. It never fit. I have had it on my belt rack since always meaning to fit into it.
Today I am wearing this belt. It fits.45 -

Know what you mean, I just ate an MFP sized portion of wholewheat pasta, tuna and tomato/ chilli pasta sauce, went to grab a banana afterwards as desert, took two bites and realised I was full, had to throw it away!14 -
Totally amazed today, had to buy new t-shirts for our upcoming holiday. Last Christmas I was a UK size 18/20 in tops, today there were no size 14 or 12 in a t-shirt I liked, only a 10 (US 8) I decided to try it on and it fit!!! Of course I bought it, can't remember the last time I had a size 10 in my wardrobe.22

A little over a month since I damaged my tendons, ligaments, and nerves in my foot when I got hit by a car I am finally able to walk a half mile at a time before it starts hurting. I am slowly working myself back up to 10K steps a day. I want that foot in top condition before we head to Europe this fall36

Ok, this is a little awkward, but here it is: I had my annual mammogram this week, and the tech was behind the shield taking the image. She popped around it and asked if I had lost weight since last year; she said the images from last year looked like an entirely different person and she would have to explain why to the radiologist! So I told her I am down almost 60 lbs since then! It made me laugh a little, too, because my son is an MD who is a breast imaging specialist (and he is very proud of his mom!31

I posted up thread about my baggy clothes. I live near an outlet mall and this weekend they were having a sidewalk sale. Nothing was on the sidewalk because it was storming all day, but I still hit it. 2 dresses from Brooks Brothers ($$$) at 80% off. A skirt from Ann Taylor Loft 40% off. Yay Me!22

Please, *everyone*, get your mammogram..
Men, with or without "moobs", please understand that if you get a lump/bump/thickening on your chest, it's *possible* that you have breast cancer. Statistically, a higher percentage of men who have breast cancer *die* of it, because they don't understand that that lump/thickening can be cancer. Men can have breast cancer. Please, check it out. Don't die.
Women: Take it seriously. Yes, it's sad that "the girls" deplete as you lose weight. Sadder still: obesity can increase the risk of breast cancer. Yes, the mammogram is uncomfortable. Let me be your witness: Mastectomy, 6 months of chemotherapy, 6 weeks of radiation: That will *change your life* even more. Stay current on your mammograms. Don't take the risk. If breast cancer happens, catch it *early*.

Going to an event today where I know the kitchen will be open for food but instead planning my lunch and bringing it with me, that way I can have something better later today. It is amazing how much I plan now12

Birthday today (47!) -- and I weigh less and am smaller than I ever remember being. Any clothes that I may have from high school (t-shirts or shorts with a team logo on them) that are size S or XS fit or are even a little too big. After a few weeks of lifting weights, I'm so surprised that my arms look muscular all the time (not just if I flex ... I don't ever remember having "lines" in my arms like I do now), and I'm starting to see similar changes with my legs.
But, the best NSV I'm present to today is getting rid of things that no longer serve me -- cleaning out the basement, getting rid of clothes that are no longer "me," decluttering, etc. I was feeling like that I've gotten the "old me" back, but that isn't it: it's more like creating or being who I want. A completely new life that I am creating. Still have about 12 lbs to lose, but I feel fantastic.40 -

My most recent (and first) NSV was that my favorite shirt fits me properly now instead of being all snug.14 -
I ran non stop for over 3 miles this morning.... Couldn't even do 3 miles of walking a year ago...this time i ran and ran and ran...I was huffing and puffing all the way like a train, but other than that it was pretty easy, where as before my whole body was in pain. Soooo happy!!! Today, I really do not mind what the scale says (but only for today)33

I did 150 minutes of cardio every week this month!
I'm about to head out to be the health director at a summer camp for the next 3 months, so it's going to be a challenge getting that exercise in.... but it's all about prioritizing my health (I say now, ask me in a month =p )18 -
Someone mentioned before a doctor asking if they had lost weight. It happened to me too, my GP didn't even ask , I came in the room and she just declared -You've lost a lot of weight! Best thing ever!17

Yesterday I ran 10K (6.2 miles) straight!! There is something so incredible about running outside and ending up at places you would only ever think to drive to.22

Important advice - don't let fear keep you from getting checked regularly. Ann - you (and your rowing - go WeCanRow!) have been an inspiration for me - I'm almost 6 years out, similar treatment protocol. Ironically, I'm considerably more fit now than I would have been without the BC diagnosis, because it got me to focus on my general health. I guess that qualifies as an NSV!23
