This vintage etsy buy came in the mail today, and IT FITS!!
The dress is amazing, you fit into it perfectly!

Thanks cblue315! I was so pumped to put it on and have it actually fit. I had taken my measurements, and it should have fit, but when it came out of the package I said “no way!” haha Now I just have to find somewhere to wear it! haha

Had 700+ extra calories to eat to reach my net goal, so had a mars bar and ENJOYED it without feeling guilty! Sounds ridiculous, but that was the first guilt free chocolate I have had in over 4 years!!!

You do know you don't have to reach the net goal MFP sets, right?
And that MFP overestimates calories burned? Safer not to eat them back, or only have 1/3 to 1/2 once in a while.
MKEgal I think your comment to Rodderick89 was kind of rude she is proud of her accomplishment and treated herself she doesn't need you to tell her how things work if she has been eating back her exercise calories and is still losing weight then it is working for her. Nobody cares for a know it all!

I'm glad someone else picked up on that. This is a 'victories' thread. Please don't bring down someone else's accomplishment regardless of it you think it is a success or not.
How was I taking away from her treating herself & enjoying her candy?
She probably only had about 1/2 of those 700 calories, and it sounds like this is a rare thing, which is what I recommended. (Actually, my doctor & dietician said not to eat back ANY exercise calories.)

And I've seen so many people here (usually newbies) who don't understand. Most appreciate knowing how MFP works, including the errors, so they can be successful. Sorry you don't see the value in knowing the truth. Maybe after you've been here a while you might.
BTW, the ad hominems should stop. Attacks are not appropriate.

My victory yesterday was that someone at the family gathering I attended, whom I hadn't seen probably since last DEC, came up & asked if I'd lost weight, was amazed when I told her how much, said I look great, look like a different person.

I just bought new jeans from the misses section, NOT the plus size section for the first time in 7 years. I am on cloud 9!
  • I fit into S/XS scrub tops, depending on the manufacturer's vanity sizing.

MKEgal. I think your post was right on with the advise of not eating back exercise calories. I also know you did it to be healpful and not rude or mean. I also believe not all calories are equal. If all you eat for one week is 1500 cals a day of birthday cake you will loose weight but not get healthy. Eating back exercise calories, especially in candy, is not a good idea. The problem I think is that this is not a forum for for advise, but rather a place to make people feel better sharing there victories.

I was able to buy size 12 jeans at Old navy. I remember the last time I bought that size was the weekend before I started high school.

I just bought some new workout tees from Target in size medium! :-) And I've lost 12.5 percentage points off my body fat% since the first of July. My body fat% and BMI are now in the healthy range. I still have some fat to lose and some muscle to gain, but I'm excited that I am moving in the right direction! Plus I increased my weight on the horizontal bench press to 150 lbs. this week.

I completed a 1x5 deadlift set 5 pounds below my body weight 2 days ago. Monday, I hope to complete a set at my body weight! Not bad for a 30 something year old mom.

Oh and how could I forget this... I hit a new personal best running yesterday - 8 miles with an average of 9:50 per mile. Best shape of my life at age 31!

I think it deserves mentioning that it was 48 degrees outside with a heavy mist and north wind. I don't want inclement weather to be my excuse for not keeping up on my workouts. It started actually raining during mile 6 and I looked up at the sky and told those clouds "you can't stop me or hold me back... I am going to get a new PR today!"

    Outstanding! That's some dedication there!!

PR today in a 5k race. Earlier this year, I finished a 5k in 35:48 and today, finished with a time of 33:40. In 2013, I finished in over 40 minutes. Progress!

I have one, I have one! I'm staying at a hotel, and just realised that the normal sized towels wrap around my body, without showing the world everything! (I normally use a massive bath sheet that is very good at not showing the world my everything!)

Hooray! I zombie-run too. I actually gave up on the training program but restarting running again with the main app and I've stuck with it and am now on Season 2! It's really motivating.

I also have a new NSV from today. A while ago, I started walking to work every second day. When I first started it was so tough on my super-unfit body that it was quite difficult, I got blisters on my feet, a sore leg... the works. I stuck with it. Today I managed to jog the entire 3.5km without stopping once.

Can I follow you? I'm epido on the website, if you want to add me.

I can't wait to finish the 5k program, and start the main app. I want to be able to see the changes to Able on the base map as I progress through the game!

Since joining a gym and really starting to work on my weight loss five weeks ago, I've averaged 12+ hours of exercise a week...despite having two broken toes and a broken metatarsal in my right foot. I've had to take care not to do certain movements because I want the breaks to heal properly, but I haven't let it be an excuse to myself not to work hard

Yesterday I went to my first workout class in over 6 weeks after breaking my leg. This morning I feel wonderful! I'm a little sore, but mostly I'm no longer feeling stiff in every joint.
