It's black, buttery soft, ankle length, very slim cut, trimmed with black "fur" at wrists and around the glamorous hood. It looks like a coat straight out of Dr. Zhivago. It was a bit tight when I tried it on, but after having driven all that way, I bought it anyhow. A few days later I moved to Maryland, and what with packing/unpacking and changing jobs, I never had a chance to wear the coat before Spring came. By the following winter I was decidedly too large to button it up.
Today I wore this gorgeous, toasty warm coat for the very first time, with room to spare around the hips, and I still love it... although I'm thinking it may be a bit too "young" in style for me now!! LOL!!
Wear that coat like the boss you are Congratulations!12 -
Helping hubs put away our 10' fake tree (wrestling it into the bag, then up the stairs)--it was a breeze this year. He said, "It's so nice doing this with a wife who lifts weights all the time--it feels so light and you are moving so fast!"20

I totally get this! Two of my customer gave me bags of Lindt Truffles for Christmas so I have been enjoying one each day with my lunch...so much more satisfying when I don't inhale five at a sitting! I actually taste the chocolate20 -
I started walking on November 29th at a 16:45 pace. Tonight I ran/walked 2 miles at a 14:35 pace.
I donated blood last week and they also checked my cholesterol (which I'm trying to get down). It has gone down 5 mg in the last 2 months. 2 months to go until I go back to the doctor for an official test.22 -
Increased my weights at the gym this morning
Actually, just getting to the gym is an NSV in itself as it was very cold, very windy and snow/ice everywhere this morning at 5am . . . it was not encouraging weather to go into.
Now I'm waiting for the sun to make an appearance so that the snow/ice clears and it warms up before getting the bike out . . .23 -
Measuring my waist and it's 24" after having 5 children43

Found 2 stretchy tops which I'd put in a drawer because they showed my horrendous bulges Wearing one today with room to spare Hubby says I am getting so thin I look like a scarecrow (honestly he means it in a nice way and he gets up early to take me to the gym if weather is too bad to walk)29

I've been getting a bit down recently because the scale really doesn't seem to want to shift so I decided to dig out the tape measure. Despite only having lost 3 lb in 5 weeks I've lost 5cm off my hips and 3 cm off my waist. Have to remind myself that this will take time!33

Great job!
It does take time, use a few means to track your progress such as,
* Body weight scale ( ones that measure body fat & more are great to invest in)
* Progress pictures ( front, side & back profiles)
* Body measurements ( waist, bust, chest, hips, midway, thighs, upper arm)
* Try on different clothes and see how they fit differently
Remember that if you are exercising, you will be adding muscle tone to your body and muscle weighs more than fat. So if you have a scale that doesn't measure body fat or muscle mass, you may think that nothing is changing.
Also hydrate! hydrate! hydrate!
Drinking the correct amount of water has a direct correlation with the fat your body will hold on to.
A well hydrated & nourished body can function how it is supposed to & remove unhealthy fats, excess water and toxins.
Good luck as you continue on, feel free to add me, I welcome everyone:)

A couple of days ago I was getting ready for bed and felt a hard area on one side of my stomach. Then I realized there was one on the other side too. Yeah, those are my hip bones. I'd forgotten they were so high up because the fat on my hips makes them look so much lower!24

Running on the treadmill after work yesterday in between two others going the same thing. I was running at a faster pace than one of them. I thought NO ONE ran slower than I do :-)26

Yesterday, had lunch with a former colleague at café of my choice. I reviewed the menu online before I went and selected one of the healthier choices to order, and I stuck to that order. And while I love the chai latte at this café, I ordered herbal tea.19

My winter jacket that used to be very snug around my belly region now has a little more room .19

My XXL running shorts are too big even after drying on high heat, time to invest in a smaller pair22

This is an odd one. I was able to go down 2 flights of stairs at work, facing forward, alternating feet like a normal person and without stopping, as opposed to one at a time or backwards due to my osteoarthritis.36

Punched new holes in a belt to cinch it tighter!18

I've been doing this for quite a while now but it only just occurred to me that I could count it as an NSV...! When I crouch down to pick something up or to pet a cat (which I can do more easily now, don't have to actually kneel on the floor!), I can get up without having to grab something and pull myself up. Sometimes I still need to use a hand to steady myself, as my balance isn't good (although that's improving too!), but I don't need any actual assistance to get to my feet.
(Also, no more "oof"s with the effort to get up...! )32 -

Wonderful!! I can relate! I remember noticing after I had lost a fair bit of weght being able to go down (or up for that matter!) stairs alternating steps and NOT hanging onto the railing for help! A year later and I still notice when I can go fast down stairs!7 -
