A funny one. Last night when leaving church I grabbed my coat and headed home. A few minutes later I got a call that I had grabbed my much smaller Aunts coat and had put it on. Hadn't zipped it but had been able to get it on. got a good laugh when I went to trade back.23

Put on some cords this morning that I haven't been able to wear in over two years. Zipped them up and no muffin top, either! Go me!33

I competed in my favorite local 5K this weekend, and though I didn't PR, I beat my time from last year, so that was a win. My time was 33.55.6. They also have a strength competition there every year, and I decided to compete in that as well. It was 5 events, 2 minutes per event, with a one minute break between each event. As you can see, one of those events was a tire flip. I finished 4th out of 5 in my weight class, but what's really important is I had the courage to do it. It was a great workout, and lots of fun!

SO it was three years ago at the beginning of this month that I started my health and weightloss journey. I hadn't even joined MyFitnessPal at this point yet. But I was out every day walking two miles, then three miles, then I started running. Around the end of March 2015 is when I joined MFP so that anniversary is closing in. In that time I've lost 60 lbs, gotten off diabetes medication and so far I'm maintaining very well. I'm calling this my fitversary!

Bought a pair of jeans tonight and the size that I thought would fit, did and perfectly! The NSV is a shift in perception of my body image and realistic view of my size.

I didn't feel like walking briskly today. So I got out the bike! I still got in all my steps, but I needed the bike to also get my heart rate up for awhile.22

I ran a quarter mile last night without stopping to walk. It may not seem like much to some, but for me this is HUGE. I can't remember the last time in my life I've ever been able to sustain a run for that long. It was slow, but it was running, and I couldn't be more proud!48

My DH convinced me to order an elegant gown for an event on line. Using their size chart, I ordered a small. It arrived yesterday and looked soooooo tiny, I was sure it would need to be returned. Well it fit perfectly!
Last year I was wearing a L/XL everything and grateful I could find something that fit.32 -
I finished week 5 of the C25k last night - have tried this programme several times and have never got past week 2. Not only did i complete it, but about half way through, I found myself enjoying it.28

This morning I realized I can easily pull up my winter boots! They go up to just under my knees and it used to be a struggle to slide them up so I would let them bunch up which was uncomfortable. This morning they just slid right up! Yay smaller calves!27

Yeah. That's the problem with C25K. Next it'll be parkruns, then 10K races, thinking about a half marathon. It really is a terrible disease.
(Congrats)

Wearing pants that used to feel like they were sawing me in half in some kind of pants horror story... only to find that the pants have lost their teeth. Still snug, but their maw of death is more like a whimper of acknowledgment that they fit better.
Inward, I cry VICTORY!
Next up, I shall conquer the front line of pants I let myself outgrow (again).
I WILL GET YOU PANTS.55 -
F the scale! It lies way too much. Looking in the mirror is a much better indicator of fat loss and body composition!15

Lol for me it’s actually one of the worst. I can see it in progress pics but just looking in the mirror I look the same to me (at 100 lbs down so progress has definitely been made). Clothing fit however is really helpful for me

Went to the doctor the other day. They were able to use the small blood pressure cuff on me! Probably the first time in close to a decade.41

Completed a workout without feeling completely drained. It means I'm getting stronger.25

For last night's work out, I held an elbow plank for 30 seconds. It was hard, but I did not feel myself breaking form until about 28 seconds. A month ago 15 seconds was a struggle!28

Finally at an overweight BMI of 29.9!55

I thought with my scale broken, the only other way for me to gauge any type of loss is by how my clothes fit. Well today, I decided to get the tape measure out. I've lost 10 inches off of my hips and 7 inches off of my waist. Total overall, I've lost 41.25 inches. Ok, I'll take that.60

A while back, I bought a blazer with a plan to shrink into it. It's fit for a while, but didn't really look good. So naturally I assumed I needed to lose a little more and it would fit correctly. Last night I finally realized what the problem is: I don't have enough bust to fill out the top. I don't have enough bust!

I had to tighten my Fitbit one notch. Woohoo!24

I started this journey just this past January. I am loosing slowly but surely and finally broke down and had to buy a new pair of jeans, 2 sizes smaller than what fit me in January. I forgot I purchased them honestly. So I found them in my closet yesterday and was going to wear them....but they are too big. Much too big. I was a little mad about wasting the $, but the joy of having them be too big...omg...Yessssss!!!!!!!34

You win the internet, lol - congratulations!
Today's NSV - since starting a regular exercise routine, my monthly cycle does not seem to have quite the impact on my water weight gain that it used to. I used to gain up to 5lbs in water weight, but the last couple of times around, it's come down to a pound or so. Yay for stability!

I have a job interview next week. I haven't worn 'office work attire' in 5.5 yrs (since I had my twins). Some of my old work clothing fits me again, and I went to a thrift store to buy a nice blouse to wear with my plain black business pants.
I found 2 blouses for 3 dollars each, and a nice black blazer for 5 dollars. Also a pair of chunky heeled dressy sandals just because they fit nicely and I felt sassy in them lol29 -
I ran into a lovely old neighbor and colleague today. I haven't seen her in about twelve months. "Where on earth did you go?" she asked me. "We moved to the country, remember!" I replied. Turns out she meant where did my fat go, which I thought was hilarious33

Bought the smallest pants I’ve owned in the last 10-12 years yesterday.36

I said no to dessert tonight and ate broccoli instead! It's a small victory, but damn did it feel good.30

Ran into someone at work that hasn't seen me in 4-5 months. Told me I look great. (Because you know, thinner, smaller)23

Every year in March several old friends from my high school class get together, since several out of towners need to travel home at about that time. Until last year I didn't go - I felt that I looked terrible and didn't want people who remembered me from when I was thin to see me. So last year, I was down fifty pounds, and despite feeling very nervous, I went and had a great time. I was still fat but not the fattest person there and at least I was thin enough that I felt recognizable.
This year I really looked forward to going. That's my NSV, last year I was terrified, this year, I felt like I looked great and wanted everyone to see how much weight I had lost since last time. Met with one person who came in early tonight and he was just struck dumb with admiration, just shook his head in amazement. Seeing the rest of the gang on Saturday and can't wait!41
