Someone at work told me I look 20 years younger since losing weight. No wonder I got carded last month!

Went to town and wanted a big fat cheeseburger so bad even tho I wasn't even hungry (I think i just wanted it out of habit) but I didn't get me one. Then when I was taking my walk today (this is the first week I've been walking to get some exercise) i was so tired and just wanted to stop but I kept on going til I got to 2 miles. It's not much but I'm pretty proud of myself

I gained 5 lbs! Yes I know this is a NSV but even though the scale went the wrong way, I feel that this was a victory... why? I came back from a cruise with unlimited food, desserts and adult beverages. And despite eating way more calories than I burned (I did use the gym daily and lifted heavy weights with minimal cardio), I didn't gain more weight. I was actually somewhat relieved when I saw the scale as I thought the number would be way higher. And yes I ate pasta, bread, two desserts at times, ice cream, big huge breakfasts, lunches and dinners and sugary drinks. And I did not regret it. Usually when the scale goes up, I can get somewhat deflated but this was the first time where there was no regret! And when I came back to my usual workout routine, I did not feel like I lost any strength or stamina.

Today I was in a day-long training at a Westin hotel near my home. We had two 15-minute breaks and a lunch break. The hotel rep badged me into the fitness center all three times to walk the treadmill for 7600 steps. No excuses even on this day when my schedule was booked. Thank you Westin hotel!

There's this awesome self-serve salad bar by work. I go often. I grab food, then go back to the office, weigh it, and am good. The last two times I went, I made an effort to grab X amt, testing my eyeballing skills. And, I was within about 5g on everything I grabbed. I might have given a little fist pump today.

I completed 4 of 6 workouts so far this week and I'm on track with 2 more days to go! This is major since I have low back pain (chronic issue) and developed arthritis in both knees (prematurely). I had to come up with workout plans that aren't the "traditional" ways for building lean muscle while losing weight and its working. I usually have to tap out midweek to let my body rest and recover missing workouts but I think I'm on my way

It's warm enough here that today I went for a long walk in shorts - new properly fitting shorts and a new Med size t shirt. One of my neighbors commented on the weight loss and that my legs looked like I had been working out.

Just had some blood work done. My cholesterol is below 200 for the first time I can remember, and without statins.

I was in the local charity shop because I need to replace my entire wardrobe AGAIN...

The volunteer offered me a dress with the words “This is a small 10 (UK) but then you have a tiny waist”. And I was like... oh god. You what. I what. I can’t even.

And the waist fit perfectly. (It wouldn’t zip up to bust level, but I can live with having the problems of a larger bust. And would prefer to, please, body. LOSE FROM THE FLIPPIN’ HIPS)

My NSV is putting on my jeans that were a bit tight and having them not only zip up but be a little loose.

I have gone to the kitchen several times late in the evening the last two days. I was going to get something to eat - not really hungry or in need of food - just that mindless eating I do sometimes. Every time I stopped myself and got a glass of water or a zero calorie drink. Now to make this a permanent change!

I was afraid my shorts would not fit trying them on for first time this year. They did, it felt good!

I've always disliked running, because of my asthma. Today, I went for a 4 mile walk, and actually jogged about a half mile without feeling too horrible!

Exercising and moving is so much easier in this (almost 50lb) smaller body!

I've taken it easy at the gym this month bc I'm working on my thesis and it's due on 5/3. So, this came as a HUGE shock: shaved 6 seconds off my fastest row this AM!!

Mini NSV, I wore shorts and for the first time I actually liked how it looked on me. Every time I attempt to wear shorts, I felt it didn’t look right on me especially since I have wide hips and big thighs. Also, I just didn’t like how my legs looked in shorts since I store most of my fat in my lower body. I rarely wear shorts but that never stopped me from buying them. Now all of them are big but that’s a good problem to have. So yeah I had a fun trip to target walking around comfortably in shorts

just occured to me....Yesterday i was leg pressing 240 pounds for 10 reps. This was my starting weight, And exactly double what i weigh in at now. So 1. Yay strong legs 2. Holy *kitten* iv lost everything i am right now in weight.

Last night I stuck to my calorie goal, even though my husband was eating Reese pieces right in front of me!!

Looked back through my diary, and added up my exercise minutes per week and realized that I've consistently been over 150 minutes/week of moderate exercise for a while now.

Maybe being an active, healthy person is really possible!

Going for 200 mins this week.

I am suffering from Spring allergies and really would like to spend the weekend sleeping, but instead I get up every morning for a walk. Healthy lungs from all the walking means the allergies are annoying, but not asthma inducing.

Also, I need to go clothes shopping soon. I at least need a belt so that I don't moon everyone while on my walks.

1-Jeans I bought on line that were way to small on me 3 months ago now fit perfect
2-my glasses are loose on my face and keep sliding down
3-my nine year old son asked me what 30 day workout challenge we’re going to do together next month

You can go to your optometrist to have them readjusted.

I went to a block party yesterday, and imbibed and indulged. I logged everything, even though I went over my calories, and drank plenty of water. This morning, instead of going out for breakfast tacos (to soak everything up), I got back on track and made my own healthier one (and it was delicious)!

That's awesome. Several friends on social media were flocking to a local brunch spot today for French toast made with Nutella and a bunch of other stuff piled on...and mimosas of course. I made French toast at home for me and my husband and we each had 3 slices topped different ways, and coffee. Carefully logged and my whole seemingly decadent plate was 374 calories. I would imagine that's a lot less than the brunch place...and much cheaper!

I tried on a shirt that didn't fit well last summer and it fits pretty well now! I think that by the time the weather is actually nice here (crazy here.... cold, snow and today an ice storm!) that it will fit me perfectly!
