What's Your Most Recent NSV

Several people I work with have commented on how much weight I have lost (40 pounds). Today I got on the elevator with someone I haven't seen in a long time and she said, "you look different - your doing something different with your hair" (I'm not) LOL.2

Even though my knee is swollen and in pain, I did the stretches my PT wanted me to do. Now it feels a bit better.1

I have realized that the seat belt doesn't lock up on me while in the car due to it being pulled out so far. I was even able to bend over (as the passenger) and grab my phone off the floor while the car was moving after I dropped it without the seat belt locking up on me. I didn't even have to undo the buckle to reach it. In the past I would have.
Also, I can get closer to the mirror when I do my makeup for the day. This is exciting because I am near sighted and can now see better being closer. I can even kiss the mirror in the bathroom if I wanted to without any strain on my stomach from it being squished by the sink. 25 pounds ago, this was a real struggle.
It really is the little things that keep me going. I can't wait to see what the next NSV will be! From my heaviest (226) I have lost 55 pounds. I kept the first 30 off for 4 years. During the time I lost that weight I didn't notice too many NSVs. This time around I have noticed things from just the first 5 pounds and beyond. Onto the final 40!!!!

Ignored the email about the food truck that was outside during lunch. I didn't want anything they had food wise, but the menu said something about a homemade brownie and I almost cracked. But I stayed the course.1

I had to have my wedding ring resized ..... Again ! :-)
Congrats to everyone !!!1 -
I realized I haven't had to throw out any old or rotten produce from my fridge because I'm actually eating it all!8

Deleted the "donuts in the breakroom" email and am vowed to not go in there until noon. Had a great healthy breakfast so I'm not hungry. "Fat Me" would have hauled herself right down there to indulge. "Healthy Me" filled up her water bottle.2

I legit looked at the donuts in the breakroom and was like...nope. Don't even want to taste one. Too sugary/processed. I'm sitting at my desk eating raspberries instead.1

OH! Another one I forgot about. Every season my roller derby league does a basic skills test. One of the basic skills is to be able to skate 27 laps in 5 minutes. Last season and 40 pounds ago I struggled to get 27 laps. Last night they had me do it again and I skated 31 and 1/2 laps. And I didn't even wake up sore this morning.5

Mine is mental. I gave up alcohol for January to see if I would feel different. Keeping in mind this is someone who would drink every weekend, be hungover almost every Sunday, and enjoy wine during the week. Three weeks in, I love how I am feeling. I am more clear-headed, confident, and most of all, my anxiety is at an all-time low. The couple of lbs on the scale is just a bonus right now. I don't think I will ever give up alcohol entirely, but I will certainly remember this feeling any time I want to imbibe, especially during the week.4

when we were on our works Christmas party, the new drama teacher called silence to the table because he had something to say, turned to me and said "you look stunning" I'm the school cook so he has only seen me in my apron and hat, but I have to say, I was dancing on air all night.3

I confidently removed all my backup fat clothes size 16-18 from the closet and am looking at relagating all the rest of my clothes size 14 to the same fate. I smell a great shopping day in the near future.1

I am wearing, comfortably, clothes that I was wearing at my previous lowest weight! I'm still a good 30 or so pounds above that weight at this point, but much, MUCH more fit.2

Felt meh about a weight plateau I'd hit over the last few months, but took progress photos two nights ago and holy hannah! I don't see it when I look in the mirror, but the pictures don't lie.
Also, tried on two sizes of a bridesmaid's dress last weekend, and the only reason I can't wear the smaller size is because my shoulders are hulking out of the straps.0 -
I just spent 45 minutes shoveling snow *without* taking a break, gasping for air, thinking I might die. I even shoveled far more than necessary down the ally just because I was enjoying it so much! All of that after my morning exercise even4

Looking at progress pics and seeing a big difference1

Good for you! I will be 45 this weekend, and just recently was able to run a 5k in a similar time. It's a great feeling to know you can do it!fit_at_fifty wrote: »going out in public to exercise without my long baggy top on to hide me. Leggings and new short exercise gear for me now
It sounds like a shopping trip is in order! Exercise gear is my new addiction!TheLadyBane wrote: »Squatting 205 for my stronglifts 5x5.
