I like "Sweat is fat crying". But generally I go by Jason Statham's motto - "Go hard or go home!"

An Irish proverb: Tada gan iarracht. It means "nothing without effort".

My desktop on the computer is a slideshow of motivational quotes. Some of my favourites are:

"No rest is worth anything except the rest that is earned"

"I really regret that workout" - No-one ever.

    "No Excuses"

"Defeat, Retreat. Those are not my words. I do not understand those definitions"

"Dont' look back - You're not going that way"

"Pain is weakness leaving the body"

    &

"You don't have to be great to start - but you do have to start to be great"

Especially when I don't feel like exercising : You've come this far ... just bloody DO IT!

When I've reached a(nother) plateau : You've done it before, you can do it again.

Just about every day : This isn't a diet, it's a life change.

"To My Own Self Be True"... I ultimately am doing this lifestyle change for me, to be a better me, and after that to help others by
encouragement to be true to themselves!

When resisting the urge to eat something I don't need, I like "Nothing tastes as good as being thin."

In general, when I don't want to exercise, I think "After you do it, you'll be glad you did."

There's a song that goes "I gotta get through this," that I like to think about when I'm exercising or going through a particularly hard day that makes me want to eat for comfort.

'You are not a dog, do not reward yourself with food'

    And

'If hunger is not the problem, then food is not the solution'

Log it. Learn from it. Move forward. And I love that one about not getting the *kitten* you want by sitting on the one you've got...that had me rolling!
