Firstly thanks to all of u who have replied to my endless silly questions and the advice is all brillant and I will try to take everything on board to help me improve

But thanks esp to davis for her message it helped I did take my rest day yesterday as I was simply too exhausted and hot to do myself justice but I know im going to get back out there today so I guess I have dealt with my first fear which was after having a rest would I be able tk motivate myself to keep going as for whether a rest will actially help me improve my joggin I will let u know after todays jog

In terms of ToM I totally get that I do have some depression and anger from that and any exercise for me is therapeutic and makes me more patient so I am also feeling the benefit from jogging on my mood

But just thank u all so much for the help and support I appreciate it and know I couldnt have started this without being part of this group just to check in and be inspired by how much hard work u are all putting in

Slow progress this month, as I've been focussing on lifting and other gym work rather than running/ walking. But got a hiking holiday coming up soon, so that should help get me towards my goal...

Had a nice challenging run yesterday. Training on the C210K app now and back to some much needed walking intervals. My legs were getting very tired yesterday.

Think I might not make my running goal, even though it was low, but I'm doing three other days of strength and interval training, plus two other days of yoga. My 12-year old daughter has started getting up with me in the morning for a low-mile run and that's really important to both of us, so I'm happy! :-)

    Added 2.5 today.

    7/9 - 3.72. Almost 4 miles!

What running apps do you all use? I'm currently using MapMyRun and considering getting the MVP (maybe for the LiveTracking to alleviate my husbands fears...). I'd like to have something that let me know my pace a little bit more often than just every mile mark, as well as any apps that might push my pace (currently average about 13:30 mi).

I used to use Runtastic and did upgrade. But since I got my Garmin watch (ForeRunner 10), I just use that and upload to garmin connect.

I use Runkeeper. It will tell you your pace every .25 miles. It also has free training plans and allows you to develop your own. You can also tell it your target pace and it will let you know how you are doing compared to that. It also syncs to MFP. My husband uses a Garmin watch and loves it but I prefer to use my phone because I listen to music and only want to deal with one device.

Everyone's doing great during this hot month!

Did need yesterdays rest ty for advice and so today I was a bit silly as i felt good so instead of the small increments I was advised on here I decided to go for a second mile and I did it and still feel great I didnt listen to the voice in my head as I was jogging as that was moaning I couldnt do anymore but in my walks inbetween I recovered so quickly I knew I could keep going tomorrow I will go back to one mile but for now gonna try to alternate between one mile one day and then two the next till I am truly up to form but it amazing how quick my recovery is after such a small time

And the compliments from hubby and the fact he keeps trying to grab my bum when im in my running gear is definitely keeping me motivated on the running ;) its nice to feel attractive
