Full Squats will affect your glutes and low squats will REALLY affect them.
Very true but the highest resistance is when the glute muscle is fully stretched and you lose resistance as you stand to where you have almost no resistance when the muscle is fully contracted. Adding in the hip thrust may help those with lagging glutes.0 -

That's what I was thinking too. Parallel = Full, Below parallel = low (ATG)0 -
I have to do glute work as I was born without an *kitten*. Progression on the squat and deadlifts was stagnant until I started doing hip thrusts. Started with body weight then went to single leg then weighted barbell.
I do them at home though. Even if I was comfortable doing them at the gym there is not really an open space for doing them.
You can look up "pull thorough" on the cable machine. Very good exercise but it also a bit awkward.
