50 Shades - Great, or the Greatest?

Fairly simple question. I've never seen a work of fiction so thoroughly explore women's issues. Can't believe they're making it into a film, considering Hollywood's penchant for populist pandering. Hard to believe that they'll tackle the hard issues like identity and sexual politics, and womens liberation -- all themes masterfully explored in the series.

Haven't read it. Will probably end up seeing it when it comes out on Video with my wife and/or daughter. Will be uncomfortabele just like Magic Mike was.

As far as realism -- from the little I have heard of it, it's not real at all.

And as far as women who get all worked up over the concept, in real life, they are not ready for submission. They think so, but, when confronted with it, they shy away or want to set boundaries that they can't even begin to approach.

I love it when they can, but it is rare.

I read a few pages from the extract sample and the amount of times the main girl (can't remember her name and can't be bothered to google it) talked to her "inner goddess" made me stop. its just ridiculous
