    Ran 3 back to back days with no pain in my foot! After tearing the fascia in early June I am finally feeling confident again! Have a half on the 12th and another on the 26th. I think I'm ready - I may not PR but at this point I am just hoping to finish them both, something that I haven't been certain I could do until now!

    I'm not going to make my goal for the month. As promised, I will commence flogging myself until dawn.

    Actually this was more an experiment. Next month's goal will be 84 miles, in line with my new training plan.

    Oh update from last night. After 8 hours at the Cubical City dungeon job, and 5 hours in the ER job.... I was so frustrated that I didn't get 25 miles in for Sept... that I ran .62, bringing my total for Sept to 25.06!!!!

    I didn't make my goal for September, but I did better than I was afraid I would do. :) A little achy still today, but muscles of steel are forged in a fire!

    Does walking mileage count towards the challenge? Or, just running mileage?

    I completed my 50 mile goal last night! I did some running and walking, but in the last several days MUCH more running than walking.

    9/2: 4.75 mi on treadmill (3.1 at current race pace, 1.65 climbing intervals)
    9/5: 4.75 mi on treadmill (3.1 at current race pace, 1.65 climbing intervals)
    9/6: 1.25 mi on treadmill (.5 warmup, .75 cooldown)
    9/8: 4.25 mi on treadmill (intervals)
    9/11: 2.9 mi on treadmill (walking but I'm counting it as I'm slightly injured but keeping muscles warm for race on Saturday)
    9/13: 3.1 RACE DAY! Cut off 2 minutes on my 5k time. 35:42
    9/15: 3.5 mi on treadmill
    9/17: 1.5 on treadmill
    9/20: 2.6 mi outside
    9/22: 3.75 mi (3 miles easy + 4 strides) <---Starting a 10K training plan...EEEEK!
    9/23: 3.5 mi (3 miles easy + 4 strides)
    9/26: 3 mi outside
    9/27: 5 mi on treadmill (raining ALL day long...no gear for running in the cold wet yet)
    9/29: 3.8 mi outside (3 miles easy + 6 strides)
    9/30: 3 miles on treadmill (speedwork)

    I did it!
