just recently back on my bike after 15 years - managing about 6 miles at the moment and loving the freedom its bring me and my 6year old daughter (who is very fit and a gymnast)

Woo-Hoo! I'm in this month. I didn't participate in August, since I'd bought a new hybrid/flat bar road bike and did 12 miles out of the gate (same route as I'd done in July on my comfort/hybrid bike) and was in so much pain - ow ow ow!!
So I reassessed, listened to those wiser than me, gave up on the new flat bar bike, looked at my cycling needs/goals, and purchased a road bike - she's beautiful!! I did around 30 miles over the weekend without all the major pain - yay!
Therefore, this month, I'm aiming for 100 miles, since I'd done 50 on my comfort/hybrid bike, and am hoping this turns out to be a very low estimate...

I'm in! I've had a bike for a long time, but my biggest kids just started riding on 2 wheels, so I'd like to make more of our temperate weather (now) and get out in the evenings when we're not bombarded with kid activities. I also work from home full-time and should try to get in some mid-day lunch rides. My goal 50 miles this month. Here we go...0

My yearly goal (season ends mid October) is to bike 2,000 miles and climb 100,000 feet - I started the month at 1,704miles and 86,371'0 -
So I just recently discovered cycling and how great it is for controlling my diabetes. I've already biked over 100 miles in the past 2 weeks and find myself wanting to bike every day! Like a previous poster mentioned - I feel like a 12 year old when I'm on my bike!
So this challenge sounds awesome! I commit to biking 250 miles in the month of September. I've already got 25.5 miles under my belt!

This sounds interesting! I am not sure what my goal is because I've never really counted miles. I do triathlons so biking is not my only form of exercise, so my miles aren't all that high compared to some of you! Anyway, this is what I have so far.....
9/2/14--4miles(had to quit early due to thunderstorms)

First day this month I've gotten an opportunity to bike. Did 10 miles in 30 minutes.
My athletic schedule is very sporadic in the fall, hopefully I'll get enough bike time to reach my goal.
