    Hi there, I'm also 5'3" and 173.8 for 2 weeks now. I would love the support. Add me as your friend! My goals are very similar to yours. I want to be at 145 at the end.

    I'm there with you. I'm 5'3 and 178 right now. I was so happy to break from 180 but I've been stuck there for 2 weeks now. I am so looking forward to the day I break free again and see 169. Add me as a friend if you'd like. I'm not looking to get my weight quite as low as you. I'm looking to be around 140-145. I have a more muscular build and in the past 145 for me was around a size 3 so I was happy there. I plan to re-evaluate my weight goal depending on what 150 looks and feels like for me. (I've had three pregnancies so who knows what's under all this skin anymore :laugh: )

    I made it out of the 170's!!! I'm 5lbs away from my mini-goal of 160, and 10lbs from my goal of 155. That'll be 100lbs total loss for me since Oct 2008!

  • I started around 180 - I'm between 171-174 but I need to get to a minimum of 158 by mid March... PLEASE HELP KEEP ME MOTIVATED!!!! I want this soo bad.... yet I hiccup from time to time... and it's soo discouraging :huh: but I'm open to advice, suggestions, recommendations, etc!!! (lol)

    In Mid March I ship out for BMT (Basic Military Training) so I HAVE to be a a certain weight... I can only be disappointed in myself for not reaching my goal sooner, but life happens and I lsot track of time, not my weight! (lol) But I'm finding I dop better when I have to report to somebody my numbers - and I refuse to tell my husband my weight - he puts too much value on (especially women's) weight - and hes a naturally thin man.... :noway:

    I'm down to about 172. I'll be so happy if I drop into the 160s in the next week or two. Good job everyone. We can do this!!

    I'm at 172.8!!! I can't believe I got this far in 3 weeks; it's amazing what regular diet and exercise can do.

    Good luck purplespeckle, you can do it! What did you set your goal amount to lose per week? And how long have you been at it?

    Thanks! I think I have it set to lose 1 lb per week and I started my journey a few days before New Yrs day 2011

    I take full responsibility for my 2 pound gain. When i got out of the 170's last week i celebrated too much and didn't excercise at all last week. I also ate pizza and pasta. Right now i am at the point where i don't even feel bad about my gain because i know deep down that i deserved it for my behavior this week. I also feel like i will never eat pizza and pasta ever again. it sounds so gross right now. I am ready to move on and i got back on my p90x yesterday.

    P.s. i also got a better job this week yay

    Well, you're certainly meeting your goal then, purplespeckle. :-) I set mine to extreme mode... "sedentary lifestyle" and "2 pounds per week". I'm a computer geek so I rarely get any exercise from regular activities. And I don't feel too bad if I go 200 over the allotment occasionally because I'm still well under the BMR total.

    i set mine on sedentary too i think (i can't remember) B/c I'm a customer service rep so I'm sitting for 8 hrs of the day but yeah i have it set to 1 lb per week i try not to eat my exercise calories b/c when I do I gain instead of lose and I have it set also to exercise 5 days/wk for 30 minutes i always work out 6 days/wk though at 30 or 60 minutes my BMR is 1527 what is yours?

    My BMR is 1,707. I'm making sure to stay as close to the recommended intake as possible, because I have the goal set so high. I'm taking all the "don't go overboard when calorie cutting" advice on this site to heart.

    That's where I'm at as well. I started off at 216, dropped to 196 on my own. Started WW, dropped to 179 and now I'm stuck. I'm fluctuating between 178-181, which is why I signed up for this site. I need to be accountable again! Loving the support you find on here as well!!!

    yes! i'm ready for 167 though. i hate counting 169 and 168 lol b/c it ALWAYS jumps back up to 170 lol

  • i was in the 170's forever and am half an inch away from 159!!!!! my advice....don't drink any colories, no diet soda,no juice, no coffee......i lost 14 pounds easy in january alone.....i had a few coffees but i accredit most of the loss from drinking no soda what so ever and replacing it with lots and lots of water!!!

    yay!!! I'm getting close. My weight fluctuates between 172.6 and 171.3

    SO CLOSE!!

    I can't wait to be 169 and then 168. (then I'll be in my healthy BMI)

    I plan on dancing around like a fool as soon as my weight range is healthy again!
