Had such a great run yesterday - had to be up super early for a conference call and went for a run right after. Was awarded with an amazing sunrise and cool run (it was 105 here later in the day!). All I could think of was why haven't I been doing this and how did I get out of the habit of starting my day this way? Time for a change!

    10/1: 6.10 miles
    10/3: 1.35 miles
10/4: 13 miles (It was 40 degrees F when I started, and the clothes I wore allowed me to toss my phone into my pocket instead of holding it. I thought this was a positive until I realized about 8 miles into the run, when I looked at the phone for the first time, that I hadn't actually turned Runkeeper on when I started the run. I know the distances on my route, so am pretty sure about the mileage, but I hate not having the exact number and split speeds now that I'm used to it.)

I want to join. I'll set up the ticker later.

I think I will set my goal to be 120 miles for October.

    3.10. - 3.7 km
    4.10. - 6.5 km

Needed to pick something up from the post office and had the brilliant idea to combine that with exercise by running there and back. It turns out that running with a (albeit small) parcel in the hand is annoying. Something to remember for the future...

    10/1: Distance - 1 mile; Time - 12:00
    10/2: Distance - 1.75 miles; Time - 21:00
    10/3: Distance - 2 miles; Time - 24:00
    10/4: Distance - 2.25 miles; Time - 27:00
    Total: 7 miles
Today I ran farther than I ever have before, so I'm really proud of myself for that. It really wasn't bad except for the last half mile or so I was cramping, but I powered through.

10/4 - 9.35 (ish - I fiddled with my garmin halfway and I didn't know the darn thing was on pause mode for 30 mins!)

@dharkan & lemurcat12  - so sad for you both, but SO relieved to learn I'm not the only one who does this.

    @shanaber- Sweet run, sounds stunning! 105, in October, really?:noway: I don't think New Hampshire's ever 105.

@nocull- Some days are like this, so we say 'I am a runner' and we run. Keep it up!

    DATE : MILES : TOTAL
    Oct 1 : 4.3 & 7.2 : 11.5
    Oct 2 : 5.2 easy : 16.7
    Oct 3 : 6.1 & 6.6 : 29.4
    Oct 4 : 1.1 : 30.5 just keeping my streak

I am so ready for it to cool off - I am not much for hot weather under the best of circumstances and this is just annoying!

I was so looking forward to the long training run this weekend. Hit my goal of 8 miles for the long run this week. My GPS was flaky though, so I can't get the fractional miles, but I do know it was 8.something miles!

    10/1 - 4.06 miles
    10/4 - 8 miles
