    This one of those days that reminds me why I love to run. Because of the weather my friends all bail, so I go out alone. The rain from this morning has mostly stopped, but it's damp, chilly and windy. I leave the road in favor of a hilly trail, but the rain left the trail a mucky mess. So I'm splashin' & slippin' and thinking I must be crazy for being out here risking an injury. I'm not the most coordinated gal. Then I realize I'm havin' a blast. So what if I'm muddy, and my ponytail looks (&feels) like a drowned rat. No one raced me to the top of the hill, no one pushed me to finish strong, no one challenged me to go faster by teasing me about being old & slow. I just ran 7.2 miles in 72 minutes. I ran because I love to run.

    Love it!! Sounds like a great run to me. My daughter runs XC with her high school and her favorite meet is the mud run through the muddy creeks.

    I am going for 86 Miles this month, which means I need to do all of my scheduled runs this month (or make up the mileage, if I don't).

    I need to start Couch to 5K again. Hopefully this will make it stick. I need some accountability as I'm coming off a foot injury and just able to start again. I'm shooting for 30 miles in October.

    10/2: Distance - 1.75 miles; Time - 21:00
    Total: 2.75
    My goal was originally 30, and I guess I will keep it as that, but I signed up for a 5K near the end of the month to make sure I'm holding myself accountable for running almost everyday. I think I'll end up quite a bit over my original goal, but that's alright.
