Hey everyone, maintained this week...I knew I felt heavier... but at least I know it's not fat...damn water retention...

In other news, I can't believe how much I'm enjoying 30 day shred...I've never really exercised before...and even though it's tough, I can handle it...Soreness is dying down now :-)

Hope everyone has had a good week...if the scale doesn't show something you like, say "Mr Scale, you think you may have the last laugh, but I have 7 days to show you who's boss..." *insert intimidating glare*

So I need the groups feedback on this. There are people that joined the challenge that never updated me last week so I deleted them from the spreadsheet. There are always a group of people that I have to track down in order to get their numbers. . I feel like a beyotch but I know everyone wants to see the team's results so I want to get it out ASAP! Should I continue to delete if I'm not getting updates? I feel like THOSE are the people that need the most support and encouragement though. Some haven't logged in for a while though. What to do... What to do...? I've never organized or ran a "challenge" before so I don't know if there are unwritten rules. Feedback, please?! I don't want to hurt anyones feelings. I know people are busy, too.

I would say if they haven't reported for a few weeks then it's okay to remove them. Sometimes people miss because their life gets busy but after a few weeks they're usually not interested in the group any more. Just my opinion. What does everyone else think?

I think give them two weeks. If they don't reply your messages or send updates for two weeks in a row, delete them. It'll make your life easier. Life does get in the way and they might be busy with other things. Maybe they'll join a different challenge and will stick to it later down the track.

:S sorry i'm late for the weigh in. I gained 0.7 pounds this week. It's not a lot but it scares me, especially because i know it's not because of sodium, TOM or anything like that it's simply because i ate too much of the wrong foods.
After hopping off the scale though, i had the best intentions and decided to have a 'perfect' weekend and get under my calories each day. Then i don't know what happened, but like a robot i headed to the kitchen and had cake, bread rolls and cheese among other things. I'm now over my calories, and i haven't had dinner.
I'm not really too sure why i did that. I have been stressed out with work/ moving into a new house/ ordering furniture/ uni stuff. Well LIFE.
I'm just going to try to get through the rest of the day, and stop focusing on the long term scary stuff. I'm going to go work out now, and try to still manage to get under calories today despite my morning junk food semi-binge :S

We lost 30 pounds as a group this week and we are at 296 overall!!! That is so awesome! There were quite a few people that didn't submit weights this week so I flagged them on my spreadsheet, if they do not submit a weight next week I'm afraid I will have to omit them for the list for the remainder of the challenge. I think we should send them encouraging messages though, just to make sure they don't need any help or anything! I'll let everyone know next week.

The top "losers" aka WINNERS for this week were:

    1. ellis_rn (3.2)
    2. ckholmes and hayden7707 and racheyanne1 (3.0)
    3. sharina1985 (2.9)

    Excellent job ladies!!

I feel like the spreadsheet is getting smaller and smaller each week :S
Let's make sure that next week that spreadsheet stays teh same, adn that we send out encouraging words to all that are struggling.
congrats everyone for sticking at it. 30 pounds is such a great loss, especially seeing that we're past the 'honeymoon phase'. well i definetly am.
Hoep you're all having a lovely valentines day.
I'm aiming for 1.5lbs this week, so i can say bye bye to that .7 gain i had last week and some more! :D

Hi all ... hope your day is going well. It feels like a new beginning for me. I've been on antibiotics for a couple of weeks and they've wreaked havoc on my intestines. I had my last one yesterday, my sinus infection seems to be gone, I had a few treatments on my feet, and have been fitted for some orthotics. So now ... starting today ... I'm back to a normal healthy eating schedule. The specialist said I won’t do any damage to my feet by exercising so I’ll try a step class DVD tonight. Woo Hoo!!

    Hey Team! Happy Wednesday!!!

Random question for you peeps out there:

I'm starting to look around for a some cute new jeans and I already know what the problem will be when I go out in search of a new pair...my thighs!

No matter how much weight I lose my thighs will always be big...they're muscular...can't just take that off ya know ;) So...my problem is finding jeans that will fit in the thighs (not SUPER tight) AND in the hips. I have a pair of jeans I bought last year around this time and I love them but they're starting to look really dumb on me b/c they get all baggy in the hips/crotch region.

Any recommendations on a good pair of jeans that will fit my curves? Brands? Styles? Any help is appreciated :)

Dreedub, i have the exact same issue with buying jeans! They're always too tight around the thighs and too loose around my hips/waist. I haven't found a pair that fits perfectly, but i do notice that bootleg cut jeans fit better (but not perfect) than any other style across different brands. I always find that i have to wear a belt though. If you find anything more out about brands and stuff let me know :)

On another note, how has everyone been going? It scares me how fast time goes by.
Today was a sad day for me, i found out that my best friends mum passed away (she's only 19) and it just made me so upset. I found that at the point after calling her on the phone i was so sad, that i thought 'i need something to eat'. Which really scared me. I only had a muesli bar, but that made me realise 100% that i'm an emotional eater.
Instead I hopped on the treadmill. I was thinking while i was running how important family and health is. But overall, I'm feeling really down and just trying to be there for her.

I shop at The Limited and I love their jeans. I have big thighs from playing sports but the waist usually isn't too big of a problem for me. Their jeans can be a little expensive ($60-70) if you don't catch them on sale but they do huge sales all the time so you can usually catch them 40% or by one get one half off. Even if you don't, it's completely worth spending the money to me to find a pair that fits me perfectly. They carry 3 different style pants/jeans so if you go in and ask to be measured they can tell you which style will fit your body the best.

I'm sorry for your friends loss, my boyfriend lost his dad when he was only 16 so I know how hard it can be to watch someone go through that. Just be there for her and cherish every minute you have with your family. You'll be in my thoughts!
