January 3-month Challenge, to start on 1/7/2011 (Friday)

Hi everyone!
I used MyFitnessPal on and off throughout 2010, but never with consistency. I recently moved away from my comfort zone with my usual work out buddies and I am finding it hard to find motivation and accountability.

I usually weigh-in on Fridays (making to sure give myself all work-week to bust butt at the gym!

I have never participated in a challege on here but I have read throught some fun ones (Valentines day, etc) and thought I would try and start one. . I would love to do a 3 month challenge. I know a lot of people have started up certain programs (p90x, insanity) and I believe those go for 90 days?! Maybe I'm wrong, lol.

I started last year 1-1-10 at 203 # and am currently at 181.4, I was down to 175 but gained some over the latter part of 2010 :-/

Three Month goal:
Week 1 (1/7) -
Week 2 (1/14) -
Week 3 (1/21) -
Week 4 (1/28) -
Week 5 (2/4) -
Week 6 (2/11) -
Week 7 (2/18) -
Week 8 (2/25) -
Week 9 (3/4) -
Week 10 (3/11 )-
Week 11 (3/18) -
Week 12 and the END (3/25) -

copy and paste this!

Feel free to add me as a friend & best of luck!

SW: 203
CW: 181.4
GW: 150

Mini Goals: I don't have any made up yet but I would love to read what some of you have planned for yourselves :)

Thanks,
Kerri

Hello Kelly. My name is Anne and I started my weight loss program just before Thanksgiving of 2010. (I know, who in their right mind would start right before the holidays. lol) I had double knee replacement this year and over the past 6 years while dealing with the deterioration of my knees I managed to gain 90 lbs. So, I am determined to get back to my pre-knee problem weight, 150 lbs, by Thanksgiving of this year. However, I do have a 3 month goal, I want to be180 pounds by March 18 because I have a doctor's appt. that day and would love to "show off" , my progress,

I think the challenge is a terrific idea and look forward to sharing info about our efforts. Please feel free to add me as a free so we can "chat". BEST OF LUCK!!!

    Anne

This is exactly what I was looking for! I'm going to Paris at the end of March and I want to look and feel good for the trip (and in the pictures). I've lost weight using myfitnesspal before, I know it works. I'm ready to go!

So - we all post on Friday with our starting weights?

i'm in, i haven't really taken into consideration any short term goals, they're all long term!

i'm pretty sure i was about 175-180 at my heaviest, after the freshman 25 (not 15), but that was about 7-8 years ago. since then i've been hovering between 160-170. I really got into MFP at the end of November 10', and that's when I started doing Insanity. One month in, and i've lost 9 pounds so far, bringing me to 158. My ultimate goal is to weigh 130, so i've got 28 pounds to go. I'm not really sure if I can achieve that by the end of March, but i'm hoping to achieve it by the end of April.

Three Month goal: i'm going to shoot for 130 but 135 realistically.

    Week 1 (1/7) -
    Week 2 (1/14) -
    Week 3 (1/21) -
    Week 4 (1/28) -
    Week 5 (2/4) -
    Week 6 (2/11) -
    Week 7 (2/18) -
    Week 8 (2/25) -
    Week 9 (3/4) -
    Week 10 (3/11 )-
    Week 11 (3/18) -
    Week 12 and the END (3/25) -

I just started Insanity month 2, afterwards I may do a P90X/Insanity hybrid, which would take me to the end of April!

( I know that some are caps and some letters not, I just typed this up really quickly!)

I will attempt to organize a spreadsheet of sorts after week 1, Excel is not my best friend but I will try! If you want to pass our scenario onto anyone else, that'd be great-the more the merrier! I hope no one drops out during these next few months. We CAN do it!

    Alright...I'm in!!!

I always seem to start off strong and then die off as I see good results and get comfortable...thinking I can start to eat whatever I want again. I'm a teacher so my weight fluctuation seems to depend on the school year. My typical routine has been...Workout regularly from September through November then fall off in December due to craziness at school and the holidays...workout on a regular basis from January thru mid-June and then I REALLY struggle to get workouts in during the summer months when I have all the time in the world to fit them in! I don't know what it is...I just don't have the motivation in the summer...weird I know ;)

So...here's my story...my heaviest was 146 and I'm now down to 134. In the last year or 2 I haven't let myself even get close to 140 but I do fluctuate between 132 and 136 on a regular basis. So my new goal is to stay under 135 regularly but my ultimate goal is 125! I haven't weighed that since high school!

    SW=134
    GW=125

I'll be completing Insanity starting on Monday, January 10th. I'm hoping to see a 1 pound drop each week but if not...I won't freak out ;)

Good Luck to everybody...it sounds like we all need each other :)

Let's get this journey started :)))
