I keep eggs, light rye bread, yogurt, berries such as blackberries and blue berries, apples, bananas, peanut butter, old fashioned oats, almonds and pecans, raisins, celery, peppers, lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, tuna fish, pretzels, and popcorn. I try to plan my meals and snacks in advance each morning so I have a rough idea of what my calorie and food intake will be. I don't really eat too much processed food or any diet/sugar free foods while dieting.
My staple meal is mexican. So, I keep beans (black or ff refried), tortillas (corn or high-fiber whole wheat flour), lettuce, light sour cream, eggs, and chicken. With this I make a variety of things: chicken tostadas, bean burritos, huevos rancheros, soft chicken tacos, etc.
I also usually have spinach or broccoli on hand, as a side.0 -
