Thanks Heidi for the inspirational words to keep on going. :flowerforyou: I have been teetering for a while now. Back and forth, back and forth. I am trying hard but not hard enough. I had those two cookies last week, even though I counted them, but I have been slipping on some of the snacks I have putting in my mouth. Thank you again for keeping me on track. :flowerforyou:

Hi guys I have been MIA because we went to disney last week, I forgot about Disney when I signed up to the the St. Patricks challenge but oh well I plan to stay in the challenge. I just have some catching up to do.0

Now if you maintained or gained, I know the PC thing to say is, "It's ok, don't beat yourself up, tomorrow is a new day, bla bla bla." But I'm reminded of a topic someone posted recently that was basically about the need to be a little harder on yourself. If you're not going to get your own *kitten* in gear who will? Why do you think drill instructors are so effective? So please take this in the spirit in which it's intended. C'mon People! We are counting on YOU! No excuses! Put the cookie down and move your *kitten*! If you are doing everything right and still not losing, check yourself, Are you really doing everything right? Accounting for every calorie? Drinking all your water? Exercise? Can you do more? Ladies, TOM is not an excuse, I know it's a good reason but hey, I still lost 2 pounds this week, it can be done! I know plateaus happen, we get sick of dieting but remember, we are here for you, use it as motivation to work harder! Don't give up! You are awesome and you can do it!

Havn't had any change for a few weeks now, but have slowed down on the exercise (naughty!).
At the start of febI set myself a number of goals....and have failed to mee any of them....not that I can even remember what they are! Having a bad spell I guess. Trying to pick myself up and get back into the exercise but a number of household changes have severely disrupted my routine and I cant figure out how to re-work things to get a new routine going :-(0 -
still the same at 144 ... but Im not complaining totally fell off the wagon this week ...ate like crap and no exercise ....but the best part is I still lost 2.25 inches wooohoooo0

I waited as long as I could to get everyone to post but I didn't want to keep you guys waiting for the list. So here we go. We lost quite a few members in our first week, so we are down to 74 members participating in the St. Patty's Day Challenge and for our first week I think we made amazing progress! As a group we lost a collective total of.....(drum roll please!)
95 Pounds!
Way to go peeps! Keep up the great work! Kick it up a notch this week and don't forget to post your CW this Thursday. As a side note I thought it interesting that the folks who lost this week were the first to post and several of us who didn't lose or perhaps even gained, didn't post until late. I just wanted to encourage everyone, no matter what your results are, no one will judge you, we all have our set backs and I know even for myself, when I know I'm having a bad week I consider skipping going to my weekly appointment with my counselor just to avoid weighing in a getting bad news. But I know that's not going to help me, if anything it just gives me more time to get further away from my goals. I think it's that idea of if you fall off the horse you gotta get right back on. This challenge is to help motivate you and encourage you through a task we all struggle with. If we didn't struggle we wouldn't need this. If losing weight was as easy as simply eating less and moving more, then we'd all be skinny! I have to be accountable to someone(s) to feel the need to be better and do better. That's why I need you guys, not even my closest friends and family really understand what I'm going through. So again, I thank you all for being there and showing up every week to report your progress, and good or bad, we're in this together!

Thanks Heidi!! Thanks for the list and for keeping us motivated. I had a rough couple of weeks lately, but I feel like I'm back in the game this week. BAck to the Couch To 5k program and back to better eating habits! Today, the weather will be sunny, so I will be going out and walking on my lunch break today. I'm really looking forward to it! i've missed my lunch break walks!
Let's all try to something a little extra today, like a quick walk around the block or even walking up and down the stairs a few more times than necessary or crazy dance to a song while no one is looking! Have an extraodinary day everyone!!0 -
