Can you say "Plateau?" ugh. On the brighter side, I am seeing inches lost, just not showing on the scale. Hope it changes soon...I am starting a new exercise routine next week so that should help. It's going to be awfully tough to meet my goal at this point though. Se la vi.

if anyone wants to do a challenge this weekend, it is: TO GO VISIT A LOCAL FARMER'S MARKET. i will post the challenge on thursdays after the weigh-in. it will be a random idea and you can chose to participate or not. if you do, have fun surrounded by fresh and healthy produce! :)

Well May was not a good weight month for me. I ate way to much cake this last weekend between the holiday and my birthday. June is a fresh new month, so I am putting May behind me and starting fresh.
My 6/1 weight is .... 198.7 (YUCK, I hope it is from the sugar and salt over load.)

I've been traveling for work for the last three weeks so I haven't been weighing in. I'm relieved that there hasn't been too much gain. Eating poorly combined with job stress must even itself out! Back on track this week.

So excited about dropping 2.6 lbs this week. I'd stalled out last week - lots of things involved: less than ideal eating, being sick for a full week, etc. But I'm back on track and feeling great. Happy to see I've got a good shot at reaching my goal of hitting 170 by June 22nd. That's 3.4 lbs in 2 weeks.

    Start weight: 184.5
    4/27 - 184.5
    5/4 -181 (-3.5)
    5/11 - 179.5 (-1.5)
    5/18 - 178 (-1.5)
    5/25 -176 (-2.0)
    6/1 - 176 (no gain/loss)
    6/8 - 173.4 (-2.6)
    6/15 -
    6/22 -
goal weight: 170 (goal loss = 14.5 lbs)

How did you do it? What do you mean by rest? I see you had a few weeks like I have (but mine are months!), and I am wondering what else to do. Should I take a break from exercising? I keep getting more and more intense with my workouts and no real loss. Just fluctuate the same 3-4 lbs

Pretty much. I had engagement pictures last Sunday so I kind of let up a little afterward. I also was going to the gym in the morning and only getting 4-5 hours of sleep because of it. Now I am getting closer to 7 when I skip. I do miss it and will probably start back tomorrow or the next day. But, it did feel great to catch up on rest and get rid of all my soreness. Apparently it agreed with my body too. It just sucked giving up those extra calories this last week and a half. But I spent like 2 months at 150-152 and I just couldnt shake it. Then all of a sudden, they just dropped all at once. Just keep up what you are doing and definitely take a rest if you need it, but eventually I am sure it will come off.

So I'm super proud of myself I've gone from 149.8 to 142.6 (-7.2 lbs) in about a month! I'm super stressing about this week though because Saturday I have a mud run which will be fun and my best friends graduation party and I cant decide if I should just enjoy or try to be good that day because then Tuesday is my last day at work and they are throwing me a goodbye bbq and I know I'm going to eat kinda bad their. THEN on saturday is my dads birthday and Sunday is fathers day AND my graduation and I'm going to fully enjoy myself that day.

I'm so scared this week is going to throw off my diet mojo and I'm going to gain it all back! What would you all do?

You can do it, just make healthy choices (as much as you can). Don't forget, bigger portions of the vegetables and smaller of the bad things. Also, a snack before you go and a lot of water go a long way! Good luck! I will be right there with you!

I agree with monky- you can do this!
If I know I am going to be someplace (like my daughter's bday party this Saturday) that has "bad" food, and I don't want to deprive myself, I allow myself one tiny portion of everything I want. So like we will have hotdogs, chips and cupcakes at the bday party, so I will let myself have 1/2 a hotdog, 5 or 6 chips and one cupcake. Not too bad, and plenty of actual *food" volume wise.

Enjoy yourself, but remember how good you feel right now too and make conscious choices. And if not, that ok too. :)
