I have some pictures on my profile. I'm only 4 weeks in though so I'm no where near being done but seeing that was pretty motivating.
  • My pictures never work, but I will try one last time. The thunder thigh one was DURING my weight loss, not at my heaviest of 233. I wouldn't let anyone take my picture. :))

Hello everyone, Nice to see there are other people who are short and losing weight as well.

I am four foot six inches tall and 29 years old. For the majority of my life I have been overweight/obese. I finally kicked my own *kitten* into gear in February of this year after being laid off work and unemployed. I started losing weight because I needed something to help keep my mind off of being unemployed.

When I started, I was 170 lbs., with my highest being 174; 47 inches in the hips, 40 inches in the waist, 28-30 inches around each thigh, and my arms were flabby. No muscle tone at all. My clothing size was 18/20

I am currently at 126.8 lbs, 38 inch hips, 32 inch waist, 21 inch thighs, 6 inch wrists, 9.5 inch forearms, 12 inch biceps all with muscle definition. My clothing size is now 6/8/10 (depending on the brand and style) or Small/Medium.

The pic below shows me at 170 on the left and 126.8 right.

  • This is exactly what I needed to see as I start this journey. I'm 5'2 and my youngest (twins) are due to begin at nursery so I now have a little time to start on me now and these are amazing pictures to focus my mind! To stop me going for that biscuit tin, I will visualise your inspiring b & a pics, thank you for sharing x
  • I just post this the other day. Hope it helps!
    I'm exactly 5 foot.

out of all the threads that i've read, this is the BEST one by far! it's true. extra weight looks totally different on shorter people. i feel like i can do this by seeing all that you guys have shared. i am 5'1" and 39.5 years old. i need to look HOTTT before i turn 40. i am currently at 217lbs. i lost 15 lbs. when i joined MFP Jan. of this year (2011) and fell off the wagon, only to gain the 15 lbs. back and then some.

i am going to be checking in on this thread on a weekly basis for motivation!

    thanks!!!
