Only down 0.1 pounds this week, but with TOM here and a crazy week with fewer workouts than normal I guess it isn't terrible. I've had to revise my mini goals, but still could theoritically make my overall challenge goal--9 weeks to lose 8.7 pounds is definitely reasonable if I can fully recommit myself to these efforts!! P90X is ordered on and it's way, so I've got something new to be motivated for!0 -

I have really suxed this past weekend... I was faced with somevery difficult issues that has tested areas in my life that i thought were wonderful. I let those problems consume me and I completely gave up on the weight thing. Last week wed, thurs, and fri I couldnt eat anything which of course made me ill and then I ate my life away sat-mon. I am back home and tried to get back in my routine and i realized how much i was abusing my body. I had completely forgotten about mfp which is one of my comforts. I feel like I have failed but I am determined to work extra hard since I have gained weight... I now weight 185.6 which is a 1.7 lbs gain! :sad: Glad to see that this weeks challenge coincides with what is going on in mylife and to know that others are feeling overwhelmed as well and that together we can get through it!
I am going to focus on getting back on track in my weight loss/lifestyle change journey. I plan on exercising everyday starting today and pushing myself to do at least an hour.
Glad to be apart of this and to see all the great work everyone is doing! It is the motivation that I need! God bless!0 -
As for my game plan, I've done pretty good but I'm slacking on the new recipe thing and the vitamins. I HATE vitamins (ok, I don't mind the gummy ones at all) and the thought of swallowing one of those giant horse pills makes me ill. But, I've got to finish off the bottle before I buy some adult gummy ones. :laugh:

Week 3 Challenge: FOCUS
FOr me I picked finishing my class and the shed, They both ended yesterday. I am so happy that I lost 7.25 inches and my hubby says I need a new pic cause I dont look like me.

I havent been overwhelmed but just down because I havent lost a lot of weight so far this last month. But today I fit into a Large shirt and TOM is here so that is always a downer.

I was hoping to see the scale go down today, but instead I have had no change in my weight in a fortnight. I can't say how disappointing this has been. I feel like I have been really good the last couple of weeks; staying on my calorie goal and doing the 30 day shred, so I'm upset. When i review my goals made in the first week of this challenge, I'm pretty much nailing them with the exception of drinking 8 glasses of water a day and getting 8 hours of sleep a night, so i'll be working hard to do these in the coming week.

Weight loss is so slow right now GRRR!0 -
FOCUS:
I’ve been doing really well, but I’ve also been getting a little bit hung up on all the *extra things* and exercising, and eating right and I’m worried I’m going to get a bit too focused on it. I have coursework to do and I don’t want to get so focused on eating and exercising that I start to let the studying slip. This might not sound at all exercise or diet related, but I need everything to stay in balance so I don’t get massively stressed (and then let myself get massively down on the fact I’m stressed and behind on the work and want to eat more/hide from everything).
So this week I have (and will continue to) chill out a little and MAKE SURE I do the studying right. I’ve managed since Jan to keep the studying AND the food and exercise going, so there’s no reason I can’t keep it like that – I just need to remember that I sleep better and enjoy the exercise more when the work is under control.
So FOCUS = keeping the coursework ticking along on track, to keep my stress levels down and me in control.
GAME PLAN:
Continue C25K 3 x week = YEP COMPLETED W8 D3 AND CAN RUN FOR 30MINS NOW
Start 30DS at least on days between running, and maybe on running days too, and/or start Zumba on Wii = YEP ON D15 L2, AND DOING ZUMBA ON (MOST) NON RUNNING DAYS
Keep eating healthily, logging foods = YEP NOT FEELING OUT OF CONTROL
Enjoy feeling better a bit more = FELT FANTASTIC A FEW TIMES, SO THIS IS COMING SLOWLY
1. Keep up the cardio: Finish C25K and run a 5k Race for Life – 24th July = ON TRACK, RACE BOOKED
2. Start on the strength/toning: Finish 30DS (and keep similar up) = ON TRACK, GETTING ARM MUSCLES!
3. Be able to do lady press-ups without wanting to die! = STILL WANTING TO DIE, BUT AM DOING THEM
4. Fit into size 14 (UK) jeans by the end of the challenge = I CAN DO THIS! GOING TO WORK ON A UK12!!!
5. Feel great about myself for the new academic year, ready to go back to uni with a properly sorted routine and mindset = WORKING ON THIS…

my goal this week to not go over 1,000 calories beyond my daily goal has not worked out too well. i am still going over about 1,500-2,000. oh well. don't want to lose weight any faster than i am anyway. my metabolism is a blessing--and a curse because it doesn't lend itself to me giving up my unhealthy daily gorge sessions0 -
I hate seeing my name in grey!! I'll be good from now on & try to post even when I'm out of town. I got called away for a family matter, can you say a lot of stress and staying in a hotel makes for bad eating which leads to weight gain. I'm back home now and ready to get back on track. It's definitely not looking good for my first mini goal.
